I am not able to connect to market, coz its asking to connect to gmail which is not happening. is one had the same prob and found how to fix, please let me know. I have updated the software from 1.6 to 2.1, I have tried signing out of google talk, removing the market updates and clearing the market cache and have now done a factory reset and I still can't download from the market. Any apps I have tried to download are showing on the market on my computer as being downloaded. My husband has the same phone running the same software and has no problems downloading from the market.

I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications.I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly.
When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to.Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all.
Using the PC companion i followed all steps to do the update which seemed succesfull until i tried loading some apps from the market .they say they are loading but they dont seem to be progressing .everything else seems ok i can go on facebook and google stuff on the internet but just this problem.
