Dec 25, 2010
Installing NON-android market apps/AT&T How do I install non-android market apps on myXperia X1 from AT&T? There does not seem to be abn option to allow this under settings. I cant evebn install sony apps.
I bought my Xperia X10 in Abu Dhabi, now I know that the Android Market is not available in the UAE for certain reasons, I am just hoping that someone might have found a way around this.I do not want to flash or root my phone.Isnt there any other way of installing the market manually?
Can I install something from android market via PC?I mean, I used USB to connect x8 with PC, then I install what I select from the PC to x8 Can I do it?
I am trying to install the back and restore download on my Xperia X10 phone, but I get an "install blocked" message. It says that my phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market
loading apps from Android market.I had many Australian related app sites prior to updating to Gingerbread 2.3.3 on my X10i Now when I log onto Market, it says the apps I want to reload are not compatible to my phone ?Also I had ituneradio for streaming and that seems to be missing and I also created a different account with Google to try a work around.
Does anyone know how I can download apps outside Android Market.I'm suppose to have a link in my applications folder to allow me to download from "unknown sources", but the brain wizards at AT&T decided to remove it form my Xperia X10 in an agreement with sony!
Looking at the upgrade page there is a place which tells you what is still there. Top of the list is "Market Applications"But on my phone they are all gone.In p[articular the saved info in My Tracks appears to be lost i.e. I have lost all my tracks. I habitually save my tracks onto the SD card but they are saned as GPX or KML filesAm I missing something? Can I bring these back into My Tracks?
I have experienced some problems downloading apps from Android Market. The apps in question are "apps2sd" "BBCiplayer" and "Words with friends" The Android Market web sites lists the apps but the Android Market app on the phone will not find them! I have also tried installing them direct from the web site through the browser but this willl not work.
I am having trouble downloading from Android market on my Xperia X10 mini pro. I have updated the software from 1.6 to 2.1, I have tried signing out of google talk, removing the market updates and clearing the market cache and have now done a factory reset and I still can't download from the market. Any apps I have tried to download are showing on the market on my computer as being downloaded. My husband has the same phone running the same software and has no problems downloading from the market.
I rooted my phone a few days ago to remove all the useless apps that the phone comes with. I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications.I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly.
When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to.Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all.
Using the PC companion i followed all steps to do the update which seemed succesfull until i tried loading some apps from the market .they say they are loading but they dont seem to be progressing .everything else seems ok i can go on facebook and google stuff on the internet but just this problem.
I have checked unknown sources. Still i am not able to intall non market apps... i upgraded firmware to.587 from then i am facing this. I wont be able to tap on install button once i open apk file.. But cancel button works very fine... BTW my device is not rooted
Over the last few weeks I tried to download or upgrade apps but it always fails. I always get the message: "Download was unsuccessful please try again". When I go to the android market and look at the help front page there is a link called "Download Issues Troubleshooting page". The fix described in here does not work for my phone.
How do I make my phone work properly again.
Also, I am on Android 1.6 but I cannot upgrade to 2.2. The PC Companion says that I have an up to date phone.
I am currently using a Experia mini pro U20i. My phone dont want update nor download any applications from Android market but I can access my web browsers(internet working perfectly). When trying to download it gives the following error massage "Download was unsuccessful, please try again" I have check the internet settings and even requested my network providers to send me thier setting but didnt succeed, and my software is even updated.
Can I use my PC/Mac to buy and install an application from the Android Market? If so is their an idiot sheet on how to get the app off the computer and onto the SGS2?
The reason I ask is that I'd rather use my computer to buy an application rather than use my phone.
I am currently resident in Beijing and just bought a new Atrix. The major problem I have is that China appears to block the installation of Android Market on phones and it is replaced with some crappy alternative which doesn't have many mainstream apps. So my question is, how can I install Android Market on my Atrix? Also - whilst I changed the language settings to English, many of the installed software is still in Chinese - for example maps, and Moto Navi gives instructions in Chinese too. Is it possible to change these too?Gmail etc is blocked too.
I just got the motoblur yesterday and have been trying to download apps from the market ever since. they say "starting download" and then take ages. When i click on it it says it is queued. how do i stop it queueing?
I am having this weird issue where most of the Android Market Apps show up as incompatible with my Defy without MotoBlur. Is this because of the absence of MotoBlur and is there some way to fix this? I'm attaching a couple of screenshots of how it appears on the Android Market webpage.
I just opened the Market to see whether any apps of mine needed updating and "My apps" shows that I have only 7 apps installed--and that doesn't include Gmail, Google Voice, Google Search, etc. I realize that this may be unrelated to Motorola or the Droid X, but you never know. Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else is noticing this. Perhaps Google is in the process of updating the Android Market?
I bought a new Xperia X8. When ever I checked with others they all said you can download apps from android market. So i thought i have to go to web address www.android.com/market and download my apps. But unfortunately I was wrong. I realised that is not how I should do and found that my phone came without Android Market app on it. where I can download Android Market app. Right now I have to use Third-Party android market which I do not trust completely, but I have no choice.
my phone & had it for a week or so have used the android market before & downloaded some applications which are all good but last night it came up with network error has occurred retry or cancel & return to the preious screen? im trying to access the android market 1.6 & my new application for downloading music which were both working fine earlier in the evening now they arnt?
Everytime that i try to use the Android market it comes up "Sorry! The application market (process.com.vending) has stopped unexpectedly."And now that i have tried to update the phone to the latest software it wont let me
I've got an Xperia X10i running Android 2.1 update1, Baseband Version 2.0.49,Build number 2.0.2.A.0.24, Kernel Version 2.6.29 SEMCUser@SEMCHost#1 which since I got it, the Android Market has never worked.I am able to go through the list of apps but when I choose an app to download it freezes at the "Starting Download" phase, when I try to cancel the download, I get the message "the application market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
I already combed through several forums and tried things like clearing the cache etc but the problem still persists. Recently I read from an official android forum that the connection to Android Market is established via Google talk, I noticed that I did not have google talk, I installed it and it functions okay but the problem still persist. How I can resolve the problem...its no point carrying and Android phone without android market.
