Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Flash-mode Freezes The PC
Apr 23, 2012I cant enter flashmode with my fone. Once I plug it in flashmode my pc just freezes and I have to shut it down manually. So I cant update my SE Neo V to ICS.

Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: PC Freezes At SEMC Flash Device Found During Upgrade
Aug 31, 2012I am trying to upgrade my Neo V to ICS android (4.0.2.a.0.62). While having the PCC on to latest version, and connect the mobile , software will identify it with no issues. I have been connecting both with MTP and MSC modes. The update starts, downloads from internet and prepares the laptop with no issue. When the sequence gives command to mobile to shutdown and start for the update then, I can hear the sound of reconnection, the led is green, on pc it find a new hardware (SEMC flash) and then freezes. I have tried with USB debug active and not with no difference.
I have tried with Unknown sources (under application) active and not with no difference. I tried the same in windows safe mode with the same result. I tried the Update service also and anytime I connect (press and hold menu or back key and then plug) freezes always. I removed any antivirus on mobile with no result. On PC when connected I can see on the device manager that the usb drivers are Microsoft ones. I have downloaded the Android SDK tools (including usb drivers) but as long as the process stucks on the Found new hardware, I cannot proceed further. I am running on WinXP Pro.
Xperia X10 :: Stuck In Flash Mode?
Nov 15, 2010While attempting to update to 2.1 through SEUS, the installation failed, telling me that my battery was too low. The phone is now stuck in flash mode, the SE logo flashes for a brief moment, then I am met by a screen with a phone and an Exclamation Point in a triangle for awhile, then the phone restarts and does it again.
I have obviously tried removing the battery and trying again. SEUS has the same result every time I attempt this. I have also installed PC Companion, and one of two things happen 1) PC Companion completely hangs my Win7 (32bit) machine, or 2) Prepares to repair the phone, and while 'preparing', an error pops up and directs me to the webpage.

Oke after i have flashed my phone from 1.6 to 2.1 i never had any problems. but when i updated my phone from 2.1 using PC Companion to 2.3.3. the phone just died. It keeps hagging in flash mode and after like 10 sec it vibrates and won't stop until the bat is dead. What i have done: I have tried to flashing it using the flash tools with many firmwares nothing worked, then i have used the SEUS repair function but when i use that it only wants to flash it to 2.3.3 and doesn't repair it, unless the repair is only reflashing and without whipe user data then it didn't work. Oke anyone with ideas? There are like 3 other people with the same problem and i think we all have an X10i So? The unbrickable phone has a weakness...

Jul 8, 2010i have always used my agenda mode for my calendar and last week from one moment to the next it started taking 20, 30, 40 seconds to open. once it's open it takes another 30 seconds to be able to scroll around. i have seen that many people have had the same problem and they are right, showing free time does improve it (but it also jams up the calendar with a lot of unnecessary appointments.)

Dec 31, 2011I bought the HDMI dock (not HD station) and while I'm plugged in with it to my tv my phone keeps freezing. The screen turns black on the tv. I imagine it's because it loses the HDMI signal. I have to do a hard reset. This is not some random thing. It always does it while I'm on the internet. Or the facebook app. I can stream Netflix without a hitch but as soon as I jump on line the phone freezes. Could it be the phone? HDMI dock? Or the radio shack HDMI cable and mini HDMI to regular HDMI converter? Right now I'm connected to the HDMI dock but not on mirror mode. Just using my phone. I wonder if I connect the HDMI cable straight to my phone will the same thing happen? I'll try and report back. I just trued connecting te hdmi cord straight ti te phine and no freezes. Only problem is unlike when im connected to the dock the screen on to the tv is not full size and vÃdeo quality is not good. I used the web top app and it never froze. It only happens in mirror mode.

Jul 5, 2010I have been having an issue with the email app included on the Rant while trying to reply in QWERTY mode.
It tends to freeze, not allowing text entry to continue. The QWERTY keypad was one of the things that drew me to this phone, and the application I most need that keypad for is the email.
I tend to think it has something to do with a character limit, though that wouldn't really explain why I can close the keypad and revert to T9 to continue without it freezing.
How to fix this without giving up on the QWERTY keypad altogether?

Jun 15, 2010I have a Bold 9000 that started out with the original Rogers operating system some time in 2008. I've upgraded it through various 4.6 (or is it 4.7?) OS versions and I'm now on 5.0.0.662 (I haven't gone to .681 yet mostly because I keep forgetting). On every single version of 5.0 I've tried (Wind, Azercell, etc) I have run into two problems.
1. The camera takes pictures that are way too bright when using the flash. It's like it doesn't reduce the exposure time when the flash is on - almost every flash picture is totally white. This happens in auto flash and when you force the flash on. Pictures without the flash work the way you'd expect them to.
2. I can't snooze the alarm using a side key while it's in the holster any more. The alarm ringtone starts playing, I press the volume up or down key while the phone is still in the holster. On OS 4.6, this would cause the alarm to snooze for ten minutes. On OS 5.0 it just restarts the alarm sound! Totally pointless. This is especially annoying for me as I need to take pills on a 12 hour basis and so I have alarms going off at least twice a day, every day.

Oct 3, 2012If I connect the phone to my computer in the MSC mode, I have access to it via Windows Explorer etc., so e.g. I can load music onto my phone,but I cannot install Apps. If I try to do so in the MSC mode, Google Play tells me that the download of the app will start soon, but then nothing happens.If I connect the XPeria in the MTP mode, nothing happens except that my computer utters the first tone of the "USB connected"-signal three times. In the MTP mode the Sony PC companion also tells me that it´s not possible to connect the phone.I reinstalled the PC Companion, restarted my computer and my phone but nothing changed.Is there any possibility to install Apps in the MSC mode? If not, how can I make the MTP mode work again?
