i have always used my agenda mode for my calendar and last week from one moment to the next it started taking 20, 30, 40 seconds to open. once it's open it takes another 30 seconds to be able to scroll around. i have seen that many people have had the same problem and they are right, showing free time does improve it (but it also jams up the calendar with a lot of unnecessary appointments.)
When I go to agenda view it automatically goes to the final event entered chronologically. In my case November of 2012. How do I make it go to current date?
I am using the origin built in calander for my Xperia Ray. When on the month screen you can see and scroll the Agenda list below. But this only seems to scroll for about six weeks in advance.
1. I marked only my Google Calendar to sync with the build in calendar.
2. The Calendar (HTC) widjet is working just fine. Though when clicking on it (or either accessing the app) it would show blank page.
3. I know it is syncing, since when I inserted new event thru the app, it immediately affected google calendar. the event itself, however, WAS NOT BEING SEEN IN THE APP.
4. I cleaned app's cache, tried to do recovery with an HTC rep's instructions (press power+ +button for 15 sec etc.)
Almost everything about my BB is perfect - for now BUT: I noticed that since a few weeks? ago my agenda view is acting weird. It's very slow when opening (-20sec delay). I read about a few other people having this issue but neither of them got the issue resolved. A few facts I noticed:
- when I enable "Show free time in Agenda" it gets a lot snappier, but it ruins the whole view for it fills the whole display.
- I have 4 calendars ("Default", Facebook, >>BIS-email-address<<, >>normal email-address<<)
- I keep the appointments forever, but there's only about 200 of them
- All other views work flawlessly
I hope you guys have a few suggestions as to how to resolve this - for me - huge problem.I can't tell when this started exactly but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the OS I'm running (.509), otherwise most of you guys would have this problem, too
edit:
I already tried to: - delete all the calendar data and resynchronize completely (I actually reflashed the whole phone) - delete all the recurring appointments (birthdays etc.)
The agenda view is fast and responsive if all the calendars are empty
The google calendar widget not synchronize with the agenda. Is a widget which you can place on your home screen shows the agreements that you have, is very easy, you do not always have to go to your agenda.but since one week I can see the events. But in the google calendar I notice them. I deleted the app and installed but that does not fix the problem.
I downloaded the new software yesterday and it's fine except that I can't figure out an easy way to move across days in the calendar day view. The older version had the days of the week at the top and you could just scroll to next day. Is there an easy way other than going to view agenda and using the space bar?
Blackberry 9700 V5.0.0.423 (Platform 5.1.0.116) Vodafone UK Microsoft Outlook (Windows XP)I'm wondering if anyone has a fix for this issue? if i have a calendar entry which is "all day" or a calendar entry which spans across multiple days, they display on the week and month view, and "day" view, but NOT on agenda view?! for example, if i create an entry of "trade show" starting feb 1st, ending feb 10th, i see it in outlook, but when its sync'd it only shows on day week or month not agenda. i have tried.1/ a few battery out resets 2/ updating to latest blackberry core apps 3/ completely clearing calendar database, and re-syncing fresh 4/ creating the appointments *On* the blackberry instead. There doesnt appear to be any patches or fixes for this? i have had blackberries before (the previous bold, etc) which were all runing os 4.x and it was never an issue! would be great if anyone has found a solution for this.
Does anyone else have an issue in agenda view where the date starts way in the future? Even if I hit go to today if briefly goes then back forward to future year.
Symptom: Calendar takes ~5 seconds to load. Upon loading, another ~5 seconds till it will respond to any activity. I have it default to Agenda view, as I always have. Prior to v5.0.0.607 this was NEVER an issue. Work-around: If I turn "show free time" to ON, then it works perfect. Loads instantly, scrolls instantly, etc. However, turned OFF, it reverts to issue above.Problem is that I really don't want to show the free time on my view. Whom else has this issue, anyone? Does anyone know how to resolve this?
I just updated the software on my Blackberry Tour and now my calendar is behaving as it did two software generics ago! Specifically, when I change and appointment to a future date and then save that appointment, the calendar moves to that future date! This is terrible if you are moving several items out to future dates! Previously, the changed entry would just disappear from the screen (moved to the new, future date) and I would remain on the day I was working on.Secondly, when I open a future day in calendar, the “All Day Events” do not show first (as they used to). Instead you have to scroll up to see if there are any of these type events.Does anyone know of a way to change these settings/defaults.
I've had my BB Tour 9630 for about one month. It was working fine until this morning I saw the camera app open and a pic was taken without me even touching my phone! After that, I tried scrolling around and found that the first screen is ok, I can scroll all ways and click on items but once I click on them and another screen comes up, I can't open anything. Same thing happens when I click on "menu" it opens but I can't even scroll to other icons, nevermind click on anything. I've already tried removing the battery and chip for over 10 minutes so I don't know what else to do!
I plugged in the Blackberry Desktop software, which caused the Tour to reboot. This has recovered in the past to successful reboots, the software has worked ok for more than a year. but now the Tour is stuck forever on reboot - the status bar stuck just under the "e" in "BlackBerry" on the reboot progress screen.I tried removing the battery, waiting 5 - 10 min., replacing; tried "alt-right shift-del" once and twice - this makes it start rebooting again to be stuck at same place. tried everything without the SD and SIM cards.
alright so im running .230 forever now and lately its been giving me problems, the phone freezes sometimes, slow other times.what bothers me the most is that I can Record videos, but when i try to play them back it comes back with an error and then i cant even play them back on my computer.so what OS should i run? i know .591 is crap.. so help me out here guys, i need my phone to be reliable again
A few hours ago I uninstalled an app on my Tour, and was asked whether to reboot now or later to complete the process. So I selected to reboot now.The phone turned off and while the white loading symbol was feeling up it all the sudden stopped a little more than halfway loaded. So I removed the battery to try and start the process over and it continues to stop at the same point in loading process and won't turn on. I have never connected my Blackberry to computer before.
I am having problems with my messenger freezing up on my Tour. It started with the most recent update. It will work fine but then randomly it will not allow me to open current chats. (I can still scroll through names on my list, so the whole screen isn't frozed, I just can't click on anything.) The only thing I can do to "fix" it is a hard reset of my phone, but then its just a matter of time before it freezes again. Happens daily at least.
In December I got my third replacement 9630 in less than a year. From the first day this one has had a single maddening flaw. If the transmitter is on, after every 25 seconds of typing it freezes for about 10 seconds. I can then type again for another 25 seconds, and then it freezes again. The only way I can use the unit without this happening is to turn off the radio, type my email or text, and then turn on the radio again to transmit. I originally thought the problem might be due to a memory shortage, but then why would the radio setting matter?
At times I can be using my BB and doesn't matter what I'm doing it freezes up. Sometimes it will reboot and other times I have to do a hard reboot. Also when I'm not using it the screen will lose my wallpaper and go to a white screen.
Calendar is synched with MS Outlook. Recently found that trying to open calendar freezes phone, must restart. Get message "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_calendar_app(771) ... Application terminated."
I have a bb torch 9810 since April and now the calendar app always freeze when I try to open it. I pulled the battery out, backed up, restored I did everything I could but nothing works. As I have all my appointments there I really need it to work!
I cant enter flashmode with my fone. Once I plug it in flashmode my pc just freezes and I have to shut it down manually. So I cant update my SE Neo V to ICS.
Your carrier: AT&T Model info and OS version: Torch 9800, 6.0 bundle 695 (v6.0.0.246)
Apps and free space Free Space: 260.5MB Did a battery pull fix your issue? No. Tried this twice, but it did not fix it.
Anytime I try to go into my calendar, everything freezes. It doesn't matter if I am using the touchscreen or touchpad. The only thing that fixes it is if I turn the phone off then back on. Then I get this message: uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_calendar_app(326) is not responding; process terminated. After I press OK, I can continue to use the phone. I can also open up individual calendar items that show up for the day, but just not into the calendar itself.
I bought the HDMI dock (not HD station) and while I'm plugged in with it to my tv my phone keeps freezing. The screen turns black on the tv. I imagine it's because it loses the HDMI signal. I have to do a hard reset. This is not some random thing. It always does it while I'm on the internet. Or the facebook app. I can stream Netflix without a hitch but as soon as I jump on line the phone freezes. Could it be the phone? HDMI dock? Or the radio shack HDMI cable and mini HDMI to regular HDMI converter? Right now I'm connected to the HDMI dock but not on mirror mode. Just using my phone. I wonder if I connect the HDMI cable straight to my phone will the same thing happen? I'll try and report back. I just trued connecting te hdmi cord straight ti te phine and no freezes. Only problem is unlike when im connected to the dock the screen on to the tv is not full size and vÃdeo quality is not good. I used the web top app and it never froze. It only happens in mirror mode.
I have been having an issue with the email app included on the Rant while trying to reply in QWERTY mode.
It tends to freeze, not allowing text entry to continue. The QWERTY keypad was one of the things that drew me to this phone, and the application I most need that keypad for is the email.
I tend to think it has something to do with a character limit, though that wouldn't really explain why I can close the keypad and revert to T9 to continue without it freezing.
How to fix this without giving up on the QWERTY keypad altogether?
On my VZW Tour with the just out OS. I can't seem to set my default calendar? In Options/Adv/default services I have it set. But when in calendar and I try to add a new event it defaults to a different email address then I want it to.
Using the search function I am not able to search the calendar for appointments. For example, I see, on my calendar, that it says "Soni birthday" for May 23. However, I could not enter "Soni" in the search function, select calendar, and find the date of her birthday. Same for all appointments, recurring and single entries.
