Some of the files are not getting copied to the sdcard like mp3 files. the message says 'the file will not get copied or will not be read'. all this started after i changed my old sd card of 2gb to my new 32 gb transcend class 10. even my phone has stopped giving incoming ringtones.

When I use the Nokia Phone Browser function from the PC Suite via USB and I copy MP3 music files directly into the phone memory card into the Music folder from my PC, then the phone does not display the added MP3 files list! But those can be played from the phone via USB connection with OVI Player and the files can be seen and modified with the Nokia Phone Browser. The files can be seen on the phone only then if I copy those there via the OVI Player transfer function.Is there any solution for this problem?

I'm trying to move a few files around on my memory card whilst the phone is plugged into my pc. There is over a gb of free space on the memory card. I get error: "The selected files could not be copied there is not enough free space on the device".
- I'm moving files, not copying so it shouldn't need any free space.
- Even if it did need free space there is more than enough available on the card.
How can I move files around?
I have the 128GB model and I was transferring 32GB worth of music over to my 6P and before it completed I was getting warnings that files couldn't be copied. I stopped it and then looked at the phone on my PC and it was saying it's size was 24.1 GB. It shows the same thing when I look at the storage on the phone. What happened?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI copied from my old phone to the PC, and then to my X8, some pictures from my contacts. They are under the DCIM folder in the SD card.When I edit a contact and choose to add a picture, I can't add those pictures. The following things happen:
If I choose to use the internal Album application to browse and select the pictures, it shows all the photos I took with the phone's camera, plus several others that I don't know where they came from. It doesn't show the pictures I just copied from the PC to the SD card. But the ones that are visible can be selected and used.If I choose to use a file browser (such as OI File Manager) to browse and select the pictures, I can browse to the SD card, under folder DCIM, and see all the pictures, but that I took with the phone and the ones I copied over from the PC. But once I select a picture it just does't go to the contact. The contact editor still show's the default picture of a silhouette, and won't use the picture I selected. So,
how can I add pictures that I moved from my PC to the SD card as contact pictures?Where are the pictures stored in internal memory? Where are all those fancy silhouettes kept?

I haven't noticed this before when I upgraded an OS or changed iPhones - but perhaps someone else can confirm..I haven't emptied my trash (on a mac) since I upgraded to the iPhone 4. I just went to empty it and saw a bunch of apps (.ipa) in there. Now I checked and they all still seem to also be in the correct iTunes directory as well - so ultimately not worries. But just wondered how/why some (not all) apps wound up in the trash.

I have copied music to the SD card from my computer, but I cannot find an app that will recognize/find the music files on the SD card. If I go to the files from File Manager, I can play them, but I want to use an app so that I can play the songs randomly. I've been able to do this on all of my phones in the past. I had about 10 GB of photos on my iPhone and the iTunes backup kept getting errors. So I plugged in my iPhone, browsed to it in Windows Explorer, and copied the folders inside DCIM to my PC. I then change phones and copied the photos back into the DCIM folder on the new phone. They show up fine on my new phone. Now, this 2nd phone is having issues and I want to copy the photos back to my computer to copy to another new phone. If I open the DCIM folder, I see a bunch of files called Local Disk and only about 60 photos (new photos I took with the phone), and none of them are the photos that I copied onto the phone earlier. I did an iTunes backup without errors, but it only backed up those 60 photos. It's like Windows and iTunes don't even see the other 10 GB of photos, even though I can still see them on iPhone.Â
How can I get these photos copied off my iPhone to my PC?

Why aren't the edits I made on the photos applied to them when I import them to my computer? And why does my iPhone ask me to "save" after I make changes if it doesn't really save them?

I'm new to these boards and to blackberry's so my question might be something simple that i just missed. I added a contact to my phone book from a text message i received from someone. it put their phone number under work instead of mobile. so i copied it and pasted it. But now i can figure out how to clear that out. whenever i text someone or what not, it keeps saying paste and still has that person's number in there. is there a way to clear out the copied info so that paste doesn't show up all the time. i have a blackberry bold 9700.
