May 26, 2010I got a new Samsungs gt-s5620 (Monte) mobile. I cannot see correctly, messages that are written in language that should be read from right to left (i.e. Arabic, Hebrew and etc). I can see the characters correctly, but the message if flipped (Mirror view)

Jun 7, 2010I've been using Samsung S5620 Monte (S5620 Onix in Spain; S5620 Star 3G in Brazil) for a few days now. It's a nice phone, but I can't get WiFi to work in WPA2-PSK(AES) mode with my DLink DI-524 wireless router. I can get the phone to connect in open, WEP or WPA modes, at home and also in public wireless networks, but there's no way to get it to work in WPA2 mode (which is my protocol of choice).
My wireless router log keeps saying that the phone has associated and then immediately disassociated because “WPA retey failed”. The DI-524 is running with the latest firmware update (hardware code B4, firmware version 2.07). It seems to be a Monte protocol issue, since both my Nokia E71 phone and my Dell Vostro notebook can easily connect to my home wireless network using WPA2. Is anybody facing the same problem? Is there any way to solve it? Does Samsung intend to release a firmware update soon?

Jan 15, 2016I've recently received a new samsung galaxy s6 with android 5.1.1 installed on it. first day everything went well no problems whatsoever, second day, i started to bump into some wifi issues which are now really pissing me off!
So the thing is, whenever i turn on wifi, 90% of the time, i can't find any connections. NONE! maybe after 10 minutes of leaving my phone i finally found one, and it isn't even my home connection.. I've been connected to my home wifi. And when i finally am connected the internet is so slow, i'd rather go back to my windows 98 pc and search via internet explorer, make the pc crash 5 times and still load the page faster than my cellphone.

I've found one that recovers photos only, but no go on video recovery so far. I am unable to root as it is a Verizon S5 and the only available root methods require a destructive root. My cloud service did not have time to upload it before it was deleted, so all I have is a corrupt file. I have Dr.fone, but it stays stuck at 90%. Recuva doesn't recognize the device as a searchable drive.

Oct 31, 2012My samsung galaxy SII had been playing up, crashing etc for a couple of weeks, then for some unknown reason, it froze and died on me, never to be switched back on again. It has been well looked after so it hasn't been water damaged or dropped or anything of the sort. The battery was about 50% charged, I've also tried using somebody else's battery, tried connecting it to a PC, tried to start it whilst its connected to the charger and everything else I could think of but nothing. My main problem, is that I've been in touch with samsung and they asked to send the phone to them for repair, but told me that everything will be erased.
Now I know I am totally stupid for not backing up all of my media etc, but the information stored on the phone is worth more to me than what the phone is itself. Although the phone is totally dead and will not switch on, so how I can access my pictures/videos etc because surely it must be still stored on the phone somewhere. The phone itself is not as important to me as much as the media stored on it and I am willing to try anything to access my media files even if it means my phone isn't able to go for repair, I know I am going to receive comments for not backing up my media.

Jul 17, 2011I've got my S2 now for maybe 2 weeks now and only now I noticed that my Wifi hotspot function is not working. I tried that with 2 different SIM's (in different countries) with the same result. Tethering via USB works fine. I can switch on the wifi hotspot (open or secured) and I can even connect to it. On my Win7 machine I have a connection for a few moments, after that I lose connection and at the end I lose connection to the wifi hotspot.
On my blackberry I can connect the first time. That connection stays open for maybe a minute. After that it automatically disconnects and I cant connect anymore until i restart the hotspot. When I switch off the hotspot it takes a long time and it ends with error (the status under wifi hotspot). If I just enable hotspot and disable it again it is without errors. So this seems only to happen when a client actually connects... I tried already a factory reset and read somewhere to enable bluetooth before enabling the hotspot, but the problem stays the same ...

I always have a habit of breaking or losing phones, this is 3rd one in 4 months. Anyway I picked my phone up and it was switched off but I presumed it was dead as I had left my music playing. I put it on charge only for 10 minutes but I never tried switchig it on as I forgot to take it out with me. I put it on charge again last nite but it won't turn on this morning. The screen comes up white with the battery sign on the right which stops after a minute as I assume its fully charged now. Its not the charger as my bf uses it for his and the phone does seem to be charging. The on button can't be broken as when I press it the white background comes back on. I've tried the hard reset wth the 3 * and green button but nothing.
