My GPS used to work flawlessly however the past couple of days it's just not been getting a lock. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried fasterfix but it's still doing it. My position looks accurate enough on Google Maps but if I go into navigation it just says "Searching for GPS". I just moved to Vodafone and also just installed the latest Lite'ning rom, not sure if these would affect it.
View 2 RepliesI wanted to use a new sports app today but it wouldn't work correctly because the phone won't find a GPS signal. The usual icon isn't appearing and phone just remains in searching mode. I'm sure I opted to not notify people of my location through latitude but I've used the Google sat-nav since. When I go to locations services GPS satellites is unticked, I tick it and exit but everytime I go back it is unticked?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have googled quite a bit without finding a solution. I have an MS Exchange mail account which I set to manual sync. Works fine. I have also told the SII not to sync contacts from my MS Exchange account. However, if I search for a contact in my contacts list the SII also searches on my Exchange server--which creates traffic I do not want and a lot of hits since I work for a large company. Is there a way to tell SII not search for contacts on my Exchange server?

View 5 Replies View RelatedNoticed that my S5 had been searching for GPS a lot lately. When I wake the phone up I notice the GPS symbol blinking at the top of the phone, within the notification drawer it says searching for GPS. Doors this for a few seconds then vanishes.

I looked into the setting and see that the keypad sweep is on however do not see the swype function on the qwert key pad. Am I missing something here? Do I need to install swype keypads?

Fantastic tool! then I upgraded to ice cream sandwich and now I can't connect either by scanningthe QR or using the previous successful connection.The PC version generates the barcode, the phone reads it successfully and reads "preparing phoneshare", I get a connection PC reads "connecting to smartphone" then "retrieving data from address book" appears on PC app, finally "poneshare ready" on the PC. The connection is not established though and the icons on the PC remained greyed out. The message on the phone app remains "preparing phoneshare" and after 10-20 minutes hangs.I have reinstalled the PC and phone apps to no avail. Is anyone else getting this? Is it a known/unrecognised bug on ICS?

FYI, my connection to wifi is fully correct and is in coverage area and normally signal strength is excellent, it mean i don't have any problem to connect to wifi in all places same as home, office or any other places. but i'm wonder that why i can't use any, yes any application even simple factory pre-installed applications same as google search when wifi is active but if i turn off my wifi and using packet data, all, yes all of applications working properly. FYI, my all applications worked properly before this problem raised (i'm not sure but seems my problme appeared when i backed from china trip which i changed my SIM card in china with a Chinese SIM card) so, i believe there is some mistake in setting which maybe occurred

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo my music player in my s2 LTE is constantly having problems. At random, it will do any one of the following; pause, mute, go full volume and skip songs. This can happen while in my pocket, it can happen when the phone is stationary and not being touched. Motion controls are off. I've downloaded several other music apps and they all do the same thing. I've tried using other headphones. Sometimes it won't happen for a very long time and its no big deal, but sometimes it just constantly pauses or skips songs and makes it more of a hassle than it is worth to listen to music on my phone. It's been happening pretty much since I got the phone in mid December.

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy phone won't vibrate on notifications or calls anymore and it's killing me. settings > sound > vibration is set to 'always'. i didn't drop the phone or anything, so i don't know what it could be. the vibrating phone icon is visible on the top bar too.i'm using go sms pro and have that set to vibrate always, and even if i run the test notification, it says that vibrate is on, but it doesn't actually vibrate.

I still get the notification in the top left hand corner that the message has been received, I still have sound with incoming ringtone and my alarm sound is still working.I went into settings - sound - volume and it looks good.I went into messages - settings - select ringtone and it looks good.i received a text message and had sound and then downloaded an application and the next text message I received the sound had gone. Don�t know if this had anything to do with it or not or whether its just a coincidence.I would like my sound notification back on my SMS.

I noticed this the other day after watching my Slingbox for over an hour, which should drop the battery way down, and it still said 100%. The "My Device" battery page also said 100%. I did a restart, and it instantly went to 47% and then continued to function normally. It's done this several times, and seems to get stuck only at 100%. Also, when in this mode, it won't charge. View 3 Replies View RelatedHad my SII for 3 days now and am loving it but as of 2 hours ago my screen will no longer auto-rotate.
Earlier, via orange swapables, I was watching skysports with the screen held horizontally with no problems at all. Even after that I was sending a message using swype (what a cool feature by the way), holding it horizontally.
Since then I've not been able to rotate the screen. It is set to on via the notifications panel and under the settings menu.
I've put a new Case Mate Tough Case on as of this morning but was watching the football after I had put the case on. I have since tried removing the case to see if it works without, but with no luck.
I've checked the firmware and stuff and am running all the latest versions.
I've done the keypad *#0*# and checked the sensor test page, accelerometer, gyroscope sensor and magnetic sensor are showing different figures as I move the phone around but the image test does not rotate.
Under settings > display I've ran the calibration tests and they all ran fine.
The navigation wont work after my latest upgrade, do i need to change the settings anywhere?

I have setup my Exchange work email everything has come across email contacts and calender but when i search for a contact it does not give me the option to search my works global address book. This should also work when creating a new email and typing an email address should search as well. I have just come from a HTC M8 and use to work fine.

It never searched for GPS with Kit Kat but since I have updated to lollipop, it seems to loose the GPS and has to search for it. It quickly finds it again and the notification goes away.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to ICS, but now my customised ringtones to individual contacts is not working and nor is my customised sms alert tone.They used to work okay on Gingerbread. I have "Ringtones" and "Notification" folders on the root of my SD card. I go into each contact and scroll down to the ringtone and select it,but then when someone phones me it still plays the default ringtone instead.

View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday i used the the mobile data connection just as normal. I downloaded from the store and everything. Then i was back in wlan. I tried Fring. I wanted to try Fring also on 3G or Edge or HDSPA or whatever comes out from my handy and goes into the air ^^ I don't know anymore.So I turned off my wlan and was down. No internet anymore and even there was no icon in the toolbar.
I turned my phone on and off, unistalled every app i installed since the last time it worked, which was just an hour before that.
The things i installed were: A brightness widget (appears under volume controll if you press the volume buttons. I forgot the name.) and "Quicksettings", which leeded to uninstalling the first mentioned unit.After that didn't help either, i changed the card in my phone with another from the same provider. It didn't work. In the same move i put my card to another smartphone and got a connection.Conclusion: Either my phone is misconfigured (which i hope for) or it's broken (which would suck but i have warrenty left).
I even tried to let my provider send me the right connection data and saved them. Nothing...I know there is the way of getting back to factory settings, but i only want to try that if i'm running out of possibilities. And of course i don't want to lose my app data. my phone is not rooted now and i know i have to, to save my app data and apps (which sucks. 1-0 for the iPhone). I you have only ideas that could be done by rooting my phone i would do so, but i would rather avoid that because of the 'maybe warranty loose'.
Screen capture has stopped working on my sg2,if I hit home and power the task manager pops up?I did download Go sms pro but their screencapture would only work on their pages??and the original screencapture ceased working;I've removed Go sms pro in case that was causing an issues but as I said the screencapture is still not working>
