I used Theme Builder 6.0 to create a new zen theme. I exported it to my BB Curve using the "Install to Device" function. It transferred the files and then said to wait for an activation notice on the device, but I never got that. I even tried rebooting but was unable to see the theme.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did a normal backup and just before it finished, a message came up saying the DM could not backup one Theme. I clicked OK and then it comes up with another message and it says Backup completed ... click OK .So is it just one theme that's odd and not being backed up? (which I don't mind) With (hopefully) the rest of my stuff backed up as usual.

For the last month or two, my phone storage has been "running low". I bought a 16GB SD card to get by on my vacation for pictures and all that, worked out. Moved a BUNCH of stuff over to the SD card, still says it's running low. I decided to buy a 64GB SD card and put it in, but the phone still says the storage is running low WITH the SD card mounted.
How am I supposed to get rid of the notification that the storage is low and actually be able to download apps and take pictures?
I have turned on the flip-to-silent setting in my n 97 mini and today I used it to silent a call. Only one call. After that I left the phone face down on my desk waiting for an important call. After about an hour I picked up the phone and to my shock saw that I had 20 missed calls!!!! It apparently silenced all those calls although it was still in general mode.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed the Blackberry messenger on my Bold 9000. It's fully functional.I have 4 small icons now, indicating that I have new messages, but I can't find any new once.
Looking into this matter I found that in my Application Center, the BB Messenger is listed as "not installed" even though I installed it. Re-install also hasn't helped.i cannot delete it as "delete" is not listed in the menu. I'm also not able to see the application using teh Desktop Manager.
so my question are:
1) How can I find out what are the 4 icons indicating?
2) How can de-install my messenger now to just start from scratch?
I have 2 mail accounts on my 8530.I can still receive and send email from both accounts without a problem. Now, however, when I receive email, neither icon changes to show that little red asterisk. What happened? Anyone know how to re-activate that notice/icon change?

I can't catch this notice because of this short time. Is there a way to show this notice for a longer time, till I accept the call? Maybe with the new update? It's very important to me. View 6 Replies View RelatedI know there is another thread about the Telus update that came out a few days ago, but that thread is more about issues installing the update.Like most of you, i looked for new features and have not really found any, but figure there must be some improvements in 32MB of fixes.One thing I have noticed is much better battery life. After 3 days, I have noticed that I have significantly more battery when I get home at night with my normal usage.I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. Normally by the time I would get home, my phone would report under 15% or less. However I do have a Seidio extended battery (yeah the big honking one). The last few days I have had 40-50% battery left.
Since the milestone/droid has never recognized the extended battery's extra capacity, it reports battery % based on the standard battery size. So even though my battery would report 5%, I could run for 10-15 hours at 5%.So, is the battery life better with the update, or is the milestone now recognizing the extra capacity of the battery and just reporting it correctly.
Every time my phone wakes up, I receive an error message that the background data is restricted.What sort of things should I be looking for to stop this from happening? Right now I have a smart action running called "Display" that enables the cellular data to run when the screen turns on. With this smart action the notification disappears within 3 seconds. Obviously a better solution would be to keep the alert from appearing at all.

I just did another factory reset after the latest update. What do ya know, I'm now having a problem adding my Verizon email account. I tried to add it and after I enter the email and password I'm get a login failed notice. I've tried it a bunch of times and I cant get it to add.

I would have 5 bars and yet when I placed or took a call zero bars and the party on the other line could not hear me or had very poor connection. In addition I would receive notice of "no service" in areas normally served. At one point the system was setting to global connection on it's own. Took it to Verizon and they changed it back to CDMA. But still the same problem and on occasion i get a message of no CDMA service available. Went back to Verizon and did a factory reset, wiped out everything expect my contacts and still the same problem and now even worse. Now, when the phone rings it makes a weird Droid sounds and I still cannot be heard on the other end. Text and Internet work fine. Verizon says it is not enough of a problem to warrant a new phone, go figure.

We now have official word from RIM via press release today that unless you have a 9650, 9700, or Pearl3G you have to buy a new phone to get OS 6:"Subject to carrier certifications in the months ahead, the new OS is expected to be available for the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700, BlackBerry® Bold™ 9650 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 3G, as well as future BlackBerry smartphones."
That being said, are you going to be dumping your 8520/30 for something new just to get OS6?
