Nov 22, 2015I kind-of like the Smart notice thing, even if it's too large. But the background colors are killing me.The option to change the colors automatically is checked but grayed out, so I have no way to change it.

It searches by the text or numbers typed on the dial pad, and is very fast. Much better than installing a third-party app.But the widget is HUGE. And I don't need a widget. Instead, I just want a shortcut to the application. Widgets use more memory anyway.how can I access the Smart Search without using the widget?

Jun 29, 2015For the last month or two, my phone storage has been "running low". I bought a 16GB SD card to get by on my vacation for pictures and all that, worked out. Moved a BUNCH of stuff over to the SD card, still says it's running low. I decided to buy a 64GB SD card and put it in, but the phone still says the storage is running low WITH the SD card mounted.
How am I supposed to get rid of the notification that the storage is low and actually be able to download apps and take pictures?

Feb 10, 2010I have turned on the flip-to-silent setting in my n 97 mini and today I used it to silent a call. Only one call. After that I left the phone face down on my desk waiting for an important call. After about an hour I picked up the phone and to my shock saw that I had 20 missed calls!!!! It apparently silenced all those calls although it was still in general mode.

Aug 13, 2010I know there is another thread about the Telus update that came out a few days ago, but that thread is more about issues installing the update.Like most of you, i looked for new features and have not really found any, but figure there must be some improvements in 32MB of fixes.One thing I have noticed is much better battery life. After 3 days, I have noticed that I have significantly more battery when I get home at night with my normal usage.I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. Normally by the time I would get home, my phone would report under 15% or less. However I do have a Seidio extended battery (yeah the big honking one). The last few days I have had 40-50% battery left.
Since the milestone/droid has never recognized the extended battery's extra capacity, it reports battery % based on the standard battery size. So even though my battery would report 5%, I could run for 10-15 hours at 5%.So, is the battery life better with the update, or is the milestone now recognizing the extra capacity of the battery and just reporting it correctly.

Jun 30, 2012Every time my phone wakes up, I receive an error message that the background data is restricted.What sort of things should I be looking for to stop this from happening? Right now I have a smart action running called "Display" that enables the cellular data to run when the screen turns on. With this smart action the notification disappears within 3 seconds. Obviously a better solution would be to keep the alert from appearing at all.

Aug 28, 2011About a month ago my Droid Pro started acting up. I would have 5 bars and yet when I placed or took a call zero bars and the party on the other line could not hear me or had very poor connection. In addition I would receive notice of "no service" in areas normally served. At one point the system was setting to global connection on it's own. Took it to Verizon and they changed it back to CDMA. But still the same problem and on occasion i get a message of no CDMA service available. Went back to Verizon and did a factory reset, wiped out everything expect my contacts and still the same problem and now even worse. Now, when the phone rings it makes a weird Droid sounds and I still cannot be heard on the other end. Text and Internet work fine. Verizon says it is not enough of a problem to warrant a new phone, go figure.

We now have official word from RIM via press release today that unless you have a 9650, 9700, or Pearl3G you have to buy a new phone to get OS 6:"Subject to carrier certifications in the months ahead, the new OS is expected to be available for the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700, BlackBerry® Bold™ 9650 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 3G, as well as future BlackBerry smartphones."
That being said, are you going to be dumping your 8520/30 for something new just to get OS6?

Jun 29, 2012Is there any way to mark email for my iCloud account as spam on my iPhone? I'm running iOS 5.1.1. It's extremely frustrating to receive spam email on my iPhone and have no way of reporting it. The iCloud WWW page will not allow you to log in from an iPhone and instead tells you to use the built-in Mail app. The Mail app will not allow me to mark spam. Since I have my iPhone set to display HTML images in email I have to be exceedingly careful not to open any spam messages until I can get to a desktop computer to log into iCloud. Sometimes, I don't have access to a desktop for multiple days at a time, which means I can't mark the email as spam for days and have to tiptoe around it. I can't tap the delete button at the bottom of an email, because it might move me to the spam message, which means I'll trip the webbug and I'm hosed. I thought that the new push was to be desktop-free as much as possible? Yes, I could just delete it, but that doesn't help to train the spam filters.Why is there no way, at all, of doing this on an iPhone? It's 5 years old already. Am I the only person in the world that receives spam on their iPhone?

Sep 6, 2012My Xperia Z5 quite often displays an exclamation mark next to the wifi symbol when I'm connected to my home broadband. I've googled this and it seems that this indicates that my phone is not connected to Google servers when it is displayed.
This seems to be the case as Gmail, for example, shows as no connection when the exclamation is displayed. To rectify I have to turn wifi off and back on again.
I have a fibre broadband connection so I can't understand why the phone does this when all other devices in the house work fine.
