I'm trying to set up my email accounts on my Nokia X6 but it's just not happening.I use the email set-up wizard and when I put in my email address and click "ok" it just keeps coming back with "unable to connect to server. Try again later" I've also tried by going into my Nokia Ovi Account settings and "verifying" my email account but no luck.This is the same for my yahoo mail and google mail.Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my BB Bold 9900 just after Christmas and had no problems in setting up my email accounts onto my device (hotmail & sky) however upon downloading the Olympics app it appears too of deleted these. I have gone to my setup and clicked on email accounts but its just not working. It clicks but doesnt act on the click (i can click like 20 times and nothing happens) and the screen remains the same like I havent clicked on anything. I can click on other options as BBM and it goes staright to my BBM chat so no problems with the button except for it doesnt act upon the email account.
I am with T Mobile who have been most unhelpful with this, I have done software updates and still this is not working
When I go to Setup I am unable to access my email accounts. I had them in and working stellar until I upgraded to 6.0.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI while back after installing an update on my phone from the BB site. I am not sure what the update was it was a few months ago. I lost my email accounts. When trying to add them back by going into SETUP and then clicking on EMAIL ACCOUNTS nothing happens, no errors. It just sits there. I've wiped the device earlier today and still nothing happens when I click on the Email Accounts icon.

Now I am unable to access my e-mail accounts on my Blackberry BECAUSE, when I change my password, Blackberry says they will send the new password to my phone - and of course I cannot access the e-mail accounts or the new password there. I need the answer and new passwords to be sent to my e-mail accounts, so they will show up on my computer!
View 9 Replies View RelatedToday I got a new handset and after restoring all my backup and carrying out an enterprise activation on my work Lotus Notes email account I tried to reactivate my hotmail and gmail accounts on the phone.
When I tried (try) to set up these accounts the following happens:
1. I go to the E-mail settings icon on the device.
2. The following message is what I am shown on the screen:
"A new BlackBerry device has been detected. You must move your e-mails accounts to recieve e-mail on this device. To move an e-mail account, you will need to type the e-mail account password. At least one e-mail account must be moved to set up e-mail on this device." (This is the message displayed)
For some reason I am unable to reply to emails with one my email accounts. To be more specific I can type in my response but when I hit the menu the send option is gone. The only choices I get are "save as draft" and "full menu".
I used the search but was not able to find a solution.
I am thinking this started to happen when I DL'ed v5.0.0.602. I tried practically everyone option available. I did the following in hopes for a fix:
- battery pull
- service books
- deleted the email account & re-added
I even did this combo: service books, deleted account, service books, added account & pulled battery.
When I go to activate my emails (4) and hit the Verify button. It loads to a new screen and says "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again." I have done that about 10 times and isn't working.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi am having problems with my bionic adding accounts under the my accounts settings area. every time i try to add my picasa, facebook, Internet, or twitter it says 'an error has occurred please try again later'. when trying to add an email account it says auto setup is not available for the provider (tried with my gmail, yahoo, hotmail, & verizon accounts). i got around that by finding the manual values to fill in for each provider account, but that's just email. i am pretty miffed on the others not working.
mostly because i would like to have picasa in my gallery and be able to share photos from gallery or after taking with camera app to picasa and/or facebook. i do not want to have the facebook for android app on my phone, so just having the account set up in blur would be sufficient. i have tried taking my timezone off the automatic setting and retrying to add picasa account, still no joy. still in my 14 day trial with the bionic and am certainly being swayed by this issue
When I initially set up my Nokia N97, I added several email accounts with no problem. But now when I need to add an account, it is not possible any more.
The Help tells me to go to Messages > Options >Settings > Email > Email accounts and choose Options > New email account. But under Email accounts > Options there is no option New email account any more. Why is that?
What is this Exchange Activesync? It only allows me to have one single email account in my 808, and it ask for username and domain when I try to add an email account...it forces me to write something in one of those field to let me go on... I have Hotmail...and it do let me sync and find my hotmail account just with my address written with password...and if I write for ex. a "O" in the domain field...but why? And why does it onlt let me sync one account? In my old N8 I could synd how many emails accounts I wanted and I just needed to chooce which type of account I had for ex. Hotmail, Gmail or something else...and I could have two withdgets ontop of eachother with different email accont in them....how do I get that on this new 808??
Is there another program than the so called "Exchange Activesync" to down load and use...like the old N8īs email program. If I cant not have my two hotmails accounts synced in my 808 it is totally worseless for me!
Can i delete email accounts without resetting the phone and losing all data? I have read one post and that appeared to be the only solution. surely not.

I'd like to set them all to auto retrieval; but the phone only lets me set 2 with that option. If I select a 3rd it tells me "maximum amount of mailboxes already automatically retrieving e-mails". Is there a way around this?

However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?

Please use the URL or link provided to you b your service provider." I did that and copy and pasted the link into the browser and it said the exact same thing. I then went to the settings> manage internet email and it says " We apologize, there was an error trying to access the service. Try again" The try again was a highlighted as a hyper link. When i clicked on that it took me to the Web2go website. the Browser, internet, and other apps seem to work fine. just not this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I changed the passwords for my email accounts believeing them to be compromised.
My Blackberry then sent me messages to say it could no longer access those email accounts as you would expect. I tried to update the passwords on the BB but it continued to tell me the passwords were incorrect. I tried changing the email accounts to different passwords and tried to update the BB again. Still said passwords are invalid. Tried deleting the email accounts, rebooting and adding again. This time I receive an error which says "Blank password. Type a valid password" even though the field is not empty.
At a loss as to what to do now except create brand new email addresses or buy an iPhone.
I haven't been able to send email in quite a while. I can recieve but not send (iPhone 4 with most recent iOS), the error I recieve is "the connection to the outgoing server "mail.charter.net" [my correct server in Outlook] failed." .

I have a new 9700 with BIS.I have two email accounts. The first one was set up without any issues whatsoever.The second one is being more difficult.Up until last week, it was an exchange account so I tried to set it up as OWA. No matter what I tried, the 9700 wouldn't set up the account.
I then switched that email account it to another host at the weekend (the same host who hosts the account which does work on the 9700). The change is complete, the mailbox is 100% up and running and all the DNS records have been updated.
BUT the 9700 still won't recognise the account. I just don't know what else to try. I have tried a battery pull and also re-sent the service books but it still won't recognise the account.
