It's very annoying, & is adding to the list of reasons get a different phone. I enter meetings in my calendar, but the search my content doesn't pick any up, so I have to scroll though to find them.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen this particular scenario discussed, so I finally decided I would ask.I of course dealt with the fiasco that was June 15. I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID.
The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.
Does anyone who preordered for instore pickup have a tracking number that works? Mine says that it is not found. I preordered on the 15th at 8am at the store by my house and have received confirmation.

So I, like many of you, am following the news of Apple and ATT canceling random iPhone 4 orders. From what I've gathered these all seem to be from people who ordered from either apple.com or AT&T.com, paid with a credit card and set them up to ship to their home as apposed to setting up an in-store pickup reservation. Can anyone let me know if this ISNT the case? Has anyone had a canceled order who's signed up for in store pickup on launch day?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI didn't see this posted yet but I got an email from Apple today reminding me of my pickup reservation at my designated Apple store on Thursday.Glad to know I wasn't bumped or canceled from the reservations list like i've heard from some other members here.It also mentions how the price I was shown when I reserved (599.00) was a mistake and I could confirm my upgrade price via the link in the email which I did. $199.00 now shows up correctly.I guess i'll come Thursday I'll be one Iphone 4 happierI managed to place my reservation via the iphone apple store app on the first day.

If I type yahoo, it will just go to [URL] It used to show the search engines I could use. Received my Lumia 920 a week ago, I have been fighting with Vodacom in South Africa for 5 days now around getting MMS working. Vodacom say its Nokia who have to provide me with the MMS settings but I cannot find any solution to getting MMS working on the Vodacom network. If I try send a MMS, I get an error saying my message cannot be sent and when I receive a message it says "Get media content now", if I click on the message, the phone reports "getting media content" it plays a sound but nothing further happens, I then receive repeated notifications saying "Get media content now" about 10 or 15 times over a period of an hour?

Later i found out that I had made a mistake since the memory card contains software and all. Can anybody help me where to download the contents that come with the original card.Or what actually software does the memory card come with e.g. ringtones, games, themes etc.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi am a bit surprised that i cannot find software that does this.at home i have a network with a NAS, it also runs a mediaserver.i use this to have all my music and pictures available for all computers in my house.the N97 mini i bought about a year back was then promoted to have upnp av and network protocols. i suspected by now there would be players available that could either browse your home network or play back from the mediaserver.i have tried: SYmplayer, that shows me all computers with shared folders and i can play music from those, but not my NAS.(Fritzbox 7340 with NAS and mediaserver enabled)The nas is visible from vista and win7, but on xp you can only map it if you know the ip adress.
Symbian also only sees the windows computers in the networkSince there is no way to type in the path to my nas from symplayer it does work.i have also tried core player(core codex), but had no luck since the certificate was outdated and files to sign it yourself were not present.same was for 10live media...some asian player, but i accept if that is the only opneoggplayer/winamp seems also been discontinued or not workingi could not find anything else.strange that there is no interest in those tools, but if somebody else has bright ideas i would really like to know.it seems that nobody want to make their n97mini a mediaserver or something that can grab files from their network shares.
Anyone have similar experience? I preordered 2 16GB Blacks on @ 5:15am yesterday. I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? Is this sufficient backup to secure my phone on the 24th?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.6 on my Windows 7 laptop. It connects to my 6820 no problem via bluetooth. The Communication Center seems to work fine for accessing Contacts. And the File Manager works too.
The Content Copier appears to work properly as well until the last step. It even creates a 1/4 MB file on my laptop while it's processing the phone data. But it deletes the file once the process completes.
The exact message at the end of the process is:

I just received my Lumia 710 from maintanance. I added my Live account information in Mail and account in Settings. However, in the Content to synchronize there is no option for Calendar, only Mail. Now I cant sync my Live calendar to my Lumia. Outlook and Live and syncing normally. Should I change the server address in Live setting in Lumia (m.hotmail.com) or what.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy friend has a Samsung Flash Windows 7.5 phone which is 480x800 resolution with a 3.5" screen. This shows 9 rows of tiles, 9 rows of missed calls. I have my new Nokia Lumina 920 with 1280x768 resolution which is approximately 300% more than Samsung Flash. It shows just barely 6 rows of tiles and 6 rows of missed calls. Email text is so big that I need to scroll a lot in my Nokia 920.Eventhough Nokia 920 screen size is so huge, the content which it displays is only 70% of what a much smaller device currently shows. This really annoys me. Whats the use of a bigger screen and a better resolution when it can't show more as content. Forget making the font size larger, you will see only 4 or 5 lines in any of the lists.
I really hope Microsoft releases a update to enable us reduce the font size still further and read more from the Lumina. I want a quick glimpse of all new emails with minimal scroll. Compare any other phone - iPhone, Samsung Flash Windows phone, Motorola Atrix, etc., all show much more number of emails than the Windows in Nokia 920.
I create new email ( Gmail ) in my N900 via email in setup. The send & receive are fast and fantastic EXCEPT for reading the emails. it appears all in one single Line.How to view the mails in a normal view where is doesn't go all in one line & scrolling all to right?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI lost all my Text Messages eventhough I did a backup and restore using Content Copier. What I did was:
1) Backup my n95 using Content Copier (backup log is shown down below)
2) upgraded my n95 to the latest firmware and it was a success
after the upgrade it deleted all my Text Messages
3) Restore using Content Copier: Contacts, Calendars, etc. were restored except none was restored on any of my Text Messages folders (Inbox, Sent, etc.) are all empty.
What did I do wrong given the log even stated I can transfer the Text Messages to another phone?

Is there a known issue with the Search Screen Keyboard not hiding itself when you leave the search screen in IOS 5.1.1? Ever since I upgraded, if I go to the search screen, then flick the screen back to the first Aps page, the keyboard stays there in the middle of the screen and I have to click the off button off and on again.

I don't understand how this happening, I don't know where to turn this OFF. The menus were not so friendly actually. Emails, Internet connection setups, WAP Services something were all around. It's not been sorted out accordingly. The user is almost dizzy how to operate this "friendly" phone.
