I just received my Lumia 710 from maintanance. I added my Live account information in Mail and account in Settings. However, in the Content to synchronize there is no option for Calendar, only Mail. Now I cant sync my Live calendar to my Lumia. Outlook and Live and syncing normally. Should I change the server address in Live setting in Lumia (m.hotmail.com) or what.
View 1 RepliesI bought the Nokia E72 to have a good phone for business and work. Since 1 week my Lotus Notes calendar could not be synchronized any more. PC Suite issues a lot of warnings (item xyz cannot be inserted on the phone's calendar) but these messages are not useful. So I de-installed PC Suite and installed the Ovi Suite, but what is this? I cannot see how to synchronize my Lotus Notes calendar?! The menu items says that Microsoft Outlook is supposed to be installed, but sorry, this is not my company's organizer system.So please tell me how to synchronize my company's calendar with my E72 via the OVI suite because this is a crucial feature.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have two problems with my new E52 (although I do not have other problems described on this forum). So:
1. I wanted to make E52 work like s40 phone in terms of functions arrangement and, long story short, now Menu button is under middle navigation button (Menu is the first icon in the icon shortcuts on the desktop). Under left function key I have Profiles. Because of that I can't lock the keypad the way it was designed which is left_function_key-right_function_key. I know that I can lock it by using on/off button but that is not very convenient.Is there any way to define other keypad locking sequence? For example like the old phones "Menu" + "*" ?
2. Second problem concerns calendar. I tried to synchronize it with Outlook via OVI and something went wrong. Right now I have many entries doubled and some of them finish in 2030. The option to delete before date in E52 does not work. How can I clear the whole calendar?
After updating to Bella N8 has synchronized with Outlook via Nokia Suite. The Calendar shows all the dates. I have two calendars. The first calendar comes with Mail For Exchange, the second from Outlook (synchronization with the Nokia Suite). Calendar Widget only shows events from the Exchange account, and newly added to the second calendar. It does not matter whether the added element: task, meeting. I can only see those that will add to the phone. Synchronized with Outlook do not appear.

Vodacom say its Nokia who have to provide me with the MMS settings but I cannot find any solution to getting MMS working on the Vodacom network. If I try send a MMS, I get an error saying my message cannot be sent and when I receive a message it says "Get media content now", if I click on the message, the phone reports "getting media content" it plays a sound but nothing further happens, I then receive repeated notifications saying "Get media content now" about 10 or 15 times over a period of an hour?

When i go into configure it, the drop down box after i have inputted 2 way synch with outlook, the drop down box that asks for outlook user profile has nothing in it and if you try to proceed, you get the error message:

My friend has a Samsung Flash Windows 7.5 phone which is 480x800 resolution with a 3.5" screen. This shows 9 rows of tiles, 9 rows of missed calls. I have my new Nokia Lumina 920 with 1280x768 resolution which is approximately 300% more than Samsung Flash. It shows just barely 6 rows of tiles and 6 rows of missed calls. Email text is so big that I need to scroll a lot in my Nokia 920.Eventhough Nokia 920 screen size is so huge, the content which it displays is only 70% of what a much smaller device currently shows. This really annoys me. Whats the use of a bigger screen and a better resolution when it can't show more as content. Forget making the font size larger, you will see only 4 or 5 lines in any of the lists.
I really hope Microsoft releases a update to enable us reduce the font size still further and read more from the Lumina. I want a quick glimpse of all new emails with minimal scroll. Compare any other phone - iPhone, Samsung Flash Windows phone, Motorola Atrix, etc., all show much more number of emails than the Windows in Nokia 920.
I have set-up my Blackberry 9780 (running version 6) to synchronise with my BTYahoo emails and contacts successfully, but the calendar just doesn't synchronise. There appears to be no interaction between the Blackberry's calendar and BTYahoo's.
My service provider is O2. O2's support said this is a known problem and I should rebuild my Blackberry, but I am hoping for a less dramatic fix and one that sounds specific to my problem rather than a generic answer for a problem.
I can't synchronize my calendar outlook with my BB 9700.
I open my BB Desktop software and go to "organizer". The only icon that say "not installed" is my calendar.
All the rest (memo pad, Address book and tasks) are OK. I try to reset settings but nothing work....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that a lot of my calendar entries, particularly recurring, all-day events show up on the wrong day in my calendar. I have the same problem whether I choose the agenda, daily, weekly or monthly view. Typically these events show up on two days, one entry on the correct date, and another on the following date, which makes me think it has to do with time zones or daylight savings time. I don't recall when the error first started. When I try to open the incorrect entry, I don't have any options to edit the event. When I open the correct entry, I can open the series or just the occurrence, but I can't edit it either. I am syncing my device with Lotus Notes 8.5.1 FP3 over the air using a BES. I've checked the calendar entry in Lotus Notes and it looks correct.

I connected the laptop to the BB with a USB cable. I invoked the BB Desktop Software and connected with the BB. I viewed the conflict resolution dialogue box and updated both fields in the device and Microsoft Outlook with highlighted values.
I received error message "Error encountered. Error code - 0x80040fb3. Check documentation." I pressed "OK". I received the message "Unable to complete synchronization". I pressed "OK". Then I hit the "Synch" button on the dialogue box. The message "one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again."
Then I clicked on "organizer" button in the dialogue box. I clicked on "configure settings". I clicked "advanced" after seeing that the "calendar" and "address" book were checked. The error message "no available message stores" was displayed. I clicked "OK". The "Advanced" menu appeared, however the "map folder" button was not highlighted and the message "no folder mapping is available for calendar section".

Cant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
