Does anyone who preordered for instore pickup have a tracking number that works? Mine says that it is not found. I preordered on the 15th at 8am at the store by my house and have received confirmation.

I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? Is this sufficient backup to secure my phone on the 24th?

From what I've gathered these all seem to be from people who ordered from either apple.com or AT&T.com, paid with a credit card and set them up to ship to their home as apposed to setting up an in-store pickup reservation. Can anyone let me know if this ISNT the case? Has anyone had a canceled order who's signed up for in store pickup on launch day?

I haven't seen this particular scenario discussed, so I finally decided I would ask.I of course dealt with the fiasco that was June 15. I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID.
The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.
When I answer the phone there is a silence and only on the second time of saying hello can the caller hear me?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI didn't see this posted yet but I got an email from Apple today reminding me of my pickup reservation at my designated Apple store on Thursday.Glad to know I wasn't bumped or canceled from the reservations list like i've heard from some other members here.It also mentions how the price I was shown when I reserved (599.00) was a mistake and I could confirm my upgrade price via the link in the email which I did. $199.00 now shows up correctly.I guess i'll come Thursday I'll be one Iphone 4 happierI managed to place my reservation via the iphone apple store app on the first day.

I ordered almost as soon as preordering started, jamming Command+R until the "Coming Soon" icon disappeared from the Apple website.There was no change in the order status from AT&T for a while, until (on the 20th) the status suddenly says "shipped" on the 18th. I have a very limited data plan (100mb/month) and I need to be able to identify what apps or processes are consuming data in my iPhone. How can I do this?I have already reviews all my accounts and turned Push off, although that didn't significantly reduce data usage. Either way, the accounts are responsible for, AT MOST, 2 or 3mb/day considering new emails/new calendar stuff and whatever. I have a lot of Apps too, but I'm always worried to keep every "automatic sync" stuff OFF. I use an application called DataMan Pro to track usage data and keep my data consumption under control. But it does not tell me WHERE the consumption came from. Yesterday I went to check DataMan for my usage and I was surprised to find 9MB of usage and I did NOTHING yesterday, didn't use any apps like facebook, didn't check my emails, anything. Where did that come from?

I am responsible for approximately 20 iPhones for our business. Each person buys their own apps and syncs the iPhone to their own machine. I am interested in seeing if there is a way (either via Find My iPhone or some other method) to keep track of all of the phones under one account. We are trying to avoid making that the individual's responsibility, and make it so that one user (me) can locate any of the phones if needed. Or am I going to be forced to set it up 20 times with 20 different accounts, and then keep a master list of the usernames and passwords for each, so I can track each one should one go missing?

Just recently figured out that if you get an e-mail with a tracking number for a package that if you hold your finger on the tracking number it comes up with a 'track shipment' option. However using this link takes you to the FedEx website.
I was just wondering if I can specify what website that link takes me to?
