IPhone :: Apple Store Pickup / 24th Reservation / Not Store Website
Jun 16, 2010Anyone have similar experience? I preordered 2 16GB Blacks on @ 5:15am yesterday. I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? Is this sufficient backup to secure my phone on the 24th?

Jun 19, 2010So I, like many of you, am following the news of Apple and ATT canceling random iPhone 4 orders. From what I've gathered these all seem to be from people who ordered from either apple.com or AT&T.com, paid with a credit card and set them up to ship to their home as apposed to setting up an in-store pickup reservation. Can anyone let me know if this ISNT the case? Has anyone had a canceled order who's signed up for in store pickup on launch day?

Jun 22, 2010I haven't seen this particular scenario discussed, so I finally decided I would ask.I of course dealt with the fiasco that was June 15. I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID.
The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.

Jun 21, 2010I didn't see this posted yet but I got an email from Apple today reminding me of my pickup reservation at my designated Apple store on Thursday.Glad to know I wasn't bumped or canceled from the reservations list like i've heard from some other members here.It also mentions how the price I was shown when I reserved (599.00) was a mistake and I could confirm my upgrade price via the link in the email which I did. $199.00 now shows up correctly.I guess i'll come Thursday I'll be one Iphone 4 happierI managed to place my reservation via the iphone apple store app on the first day.

Jul 25, 2010I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?

the lady told me, just because I have a reservation for the phone, it doesn't guarantee me from getting the phone. I'd still have to go wait in the line. Even the people that don't have the reservation could be in front of me as long as they get there earlier than me.
AND, according to that "genius", Apple store don't give you discount on iphones even with you are suppose to get it with early upgrade. So, if you want to get an iphone from the store, you are paying full price.

The manager (who I was speaking with) said that they would probably get another shipment at the end of NEXT week. Can anyone confirm this with their local Apple store? Jul 1, 2010I placed two iPhone 4s (32gb) on reserve at the Apple store last Friday evening. They estimated it would be approximately 2 weeks before they came in. I just received notice that the phones are in and I have until COB tomorrow (Friday) to pick them up. This was a no-committment on my part reservation - the Apple guy said pick them up if I want them, don't if I don't. I will probably just cancel these since I also and placed an order with AT&T on Tuesday. That order is supposed to be 7-10 days but now I'm wondering if the order from AT&T might come earlier than predicted.

May 29, 2012I need to change my Apple ID in the App Store. I have it changed in SETTINGS>STORE. But when I go into the App store to buy or update anything my old e-mail address shows up for me to sign in with and it won't accept the password! Everyone keeps telling me to go into Settings>Store and that didn't work.
