It's very annoying, & is adding to the list of reasons get a different phone. I enter meetings in my calendar, but the search my content doesn't pick any up, so I have to scroll though to find them.

I used to be an HTC user and we have a way to customise the search results to a specific account in the dialpad. I was wondering if i can restrict the dialpad search to only show contacts from a specific account.
Since lollipop I've noticed that a slight movement of the phone in my hand causes the search text to be deleted, also with the eBay app I'll be scrolling down the list and a slight movement of the phone will cause the search to go back to the first item in the list. It happens with other apps where searching is involved. I tried it on my brothers z2 and it did the same, how to stop it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy HTC one 2013 won't start after battery running low. Screen is blank, and no led. Tried charging up by usb and mains, phone is still dead.
I haven't dropped it or damaged it in any way, it just went into sleep mode after battery was low and wont start up again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHome screen always looks washed out but yet, apps, videos, pics, etc. all look fine? In fact the skin tones etc. in vids and pics are much more realistic than most phones.
I mean, I know this isn't an amoled and has a reputation for being less vibrant than other phones. But I just notice the home screen and icons always look much more washed out than actual content on the phone which looks great.
My recently purchased Xperia Active forgets SD card content after rebooting. If I take a photo, I can find it (using ASTRO) saved in mnt/sdcard/dcim/100andro. But after I shut down and restart my phone the directory is empty and the gallery app can't find any photos.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my xperia z2 phone from 4.4.2 KK to 5.0.2 (23.1.A.1.28) first did the installation without wiping the data but after that i made factory reset both from phone and from Recovery deleting all user data . Before that (i don`t know if that is with the problem) i installed Signature verification always true patch from Lucky Patcher and after that removed it . Everything is perfect with the phone except the strange issue that happens when i restart or turn off and then turn it on again.
When i do it- first this happens -(the attached image) - it shows all the apps that i moved to the sd card like that with red circle with sd card symbol in the upper right corner and no app icons and after couple of seconds it loads them somethimes, all of them - but somethimes it shows only those which are on internal memory and after a restart it loads them all without a problem but it deletes all the data on the sd card except the app data ( of those which i moved to the sd card with the lolipop function and with Folder Mount).
All the pictures, movies, music, e-books and more are deleted but the app data is not ... and the phone is doing that sometimes not all the time. When the Pictures, music and so on are deleted i`m putting them back on the sd card again and couple of restarts there is no problem loading the apps or deleting the data on the sd card ... but after that it happens again and deletes my information ... but only pictures books music movies .. . I`m using TDK 32 GB micro sd Fat 32 formatted - i tried ntfs but the z2 doesn't recognizes it .. the sd card is tested with H2Testw and its ok and i didn't had any problems, when i was using 4.4.2 KitKat .
I own a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, and I just bought it less than a month ago. A peculiar thing happened to me today- my phone (or my SD card) simply decided to "forget" all the stuff that I had saved on it (on the SD card), more precisely, copied from another phone and from the laptop. It erased ONLY the things I saved there (my music and pictures from my laptop and my previous phone, and probably other stuff that I don't even remember I had on it). All the folders that the phone itself created on my SD card (camera pictures, Bluetooth, downloads, folders linked to apps like other camera apps and so on) stayed untouched. I first noticed that something strange was going on when I connected my Xperia Neo to my laptop in order to copy some music to it. When I opened the folder I created on the card, only some of the data was there, not all of it. I disconnected the phone, and unmounted the SD card, took it out, and then put it back in, I think I did this more than once. When I put it back in, the thing mentioned in the beginning happened- all the stuff that I put there was gone. I checked the card once more by putting it in my laptop, and there it was, half-empty. Does anybody know what the problem could be? I'm confused because of the arbitrariness (I don't know what else should I call it) of the items removed. I thought I accidentally touched the "Erase SD card" option, instead of Unmount SD card, but then it would erase ALL the content on it, wouldn't it? I just wanted to check if anybody had a similar problem and could just explain to me what happened, I am aware that I will not get my music and pictures and other files back, I simply cannot understand how this is possible. No other problems with the phone, except for my display turning on/off on its own, but I thing I got that fixed with Automatic Task Killer app.

If I type yahoo, it will just go to [URL] It used to show the search engines I could use. Also, in the options it would let me choose my default before, now there is nothing in the options about search engines.

Weird as it's only in a specific area, just to the right of the centre through to the top of the screen. The rest of the touchscreen works perfectly fine. I've ran the touchscreen test via diagnostics and the line I draw breaks whenever I go through that area of the screen. This is getting annoying as I've just sent it off for repairs 3 weeks ago for a faulty headphone jack.

So the weirdest thing is when I try to search for available updates, It would start a search but then stop. No window prompt saying whether there's a new update or no update available.
I tried clearing the cache partition, resetting the phone. But no luck. It'll just search and then stop.
I just got the Xperia Play and I'm try to play the preploaded games like Ashpalt 6 or Crash Bandicoot. I have to download content to play them but every time I get a error message after it tries to dowload for a few minutes and the yellow status bar goes up a little bit. I've down a settings and factory restore and get the error message every time. While its download my phone will go to sleep and wont respond when hitting the home button. Do I need a new phone?

My memory isn't full and i tried it at Twitter, Instagram etc. and i got same issue. I tried the cleaning all cached data.
Well, to start off, I'm in Malaysia, and apparently features differ in regions. However, I have no idea if this is me or others as well. Anyhow, it seems that I can't use TTS(Text to Speech) at all, even with Voice Data installed. And, my device didn't come with the Voice Dialer or the Voice Search apps, and they never did pop up after the 2.1 Update.
