BlackBerry :: Don't Want To Share Content Of Smart Phone
Dec 29, 2011
I would like to find out the extent of the information I'm sharing by installing BBID on my phone.I do not want to share the content of my smart phone, such as: phone numbers, pictures, messages, etc.
After having had a hard time with a very crappy SG3, I am a very happy user of the Nexus 5 for two months now. The only thing I miss a little bit is the easy way in which I could share my pics, movies etc to my Samsung TV (I have got a UE55ES8080 at home).
I tried to find apps like Samsung Allshare Play or something like it in the Playstore, but most of them are very badly rated and users recommend you to keep your fingers off them.
I definitely won't spend even more money on a Cromecast stick. Hey, I already got a TV that's supposed to be "Smart".
I must say I'm realy fed-up with with Sony Ericson for not providing 2.2. I've just bought the X10 thinking it was the best. can't wait for my present contact to finish, so I can chose a proper smart phone. Can anyone advise me on my next PROPER smart phone.
iv recently bought an lg g3 and once setup I found out that it included something called smart unlock which allows me to unlock the mobile with my face. Now I went into settings - general - security - trusted agents - and enabled smart lock ( google)then went into display - lock screen - smart lock - and turned on trusted face, did that setup and made sure I had my pattern setup
then I turned the screen off and turned it back on but it doesn't show anything to say its looking for my face, it just shows the pattern thing...iv restarted the phone - still doesn't work..iv even factory reset the phone ( as asked by o2) - still doesn't work.
I am leaving the country for a bit, and want to lend my phone to someone. Is it simple to backup my phone and restore it when I get it back? Is there a way to copy the backup (say to a USB or something) in case I have a different computer when I get it back ?
I recently bought a Z3+ and I'm very happy with it, except for this issue. When I try share photos to Google+ they never actually get there. When I look at my google+ page there's just a refresh icon.
On my phone, I don't get a confirmation that the file has been successfully uploaded like I do when I share to Facebook.
I have no problems sharing photos to any other app/service, it's just Google+. I thought it might be some sort of weird photo format issue, but if I copy the photos to my laptop and upload from there then there are no issues.
I have PhoneShare on my Series 9 laptop and installed the app on my SGS2. Fantastic tool! then I upgraded to ice cream sandwich and now I can't connect either by scanningthe QR or using the previous successful connection. The PC version generates the barcode, the phone reads it successfully and reads "preparing phoneshare", I get a connection PC reads "connecting to smartphone" then "retrieving data from address book" appears on PC app, finally "poneshare ready" on the PC. The connection is not established though and the icons on the PC remained greyed out. The message on the phone app remains "preparing phoneshare" and after 10-20 minutes hangs.I have reinstalled the PC and phone apps to no avail. Is anyone else getting this? Is it a known/unrecognised bug on ICS?
I have my smart settings set to have WIFI turned on in the house along with Blutooth and phone data. I also have synced the blutooth to my car so the phone can be connected automatically.
However, each time I get into my car the phone is not synced because the blutooth button on my phone is turned off. I have to manually turn the blutooth button on in my "settings" folder each time and then the car will sync up. I have the same problem with my wifi button on my phone. I want it set to on in the house but off whenever I leave the house. Instead, Wifi is still on when I leave the house but the blutooth is off.
The smart settings are turned on and my home location has been set, but they just aren't working.
I am using Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G can you please guide if there is any skype version is available for my smartphone in pakistan with Waridtel pakistan.
How can I share a PDF file that is stored in my Phone? The existing Adobe has no Share functionality and it is literally impossible to attach a pdf file stored in the phone while composing a mail. I urge Nokia team to come up with an app as Adobe seems to be least bothered about Win Phone.
I have a Blackberry and the viewing screen is broken. Is there any way to extract and then print the information in the memory to a laptop. The laptop uses Microsoft Windows Vista.
I just switched from a 2014 Moto X to Droid Turbo this morning. I updated the phone to lollipop and started to set things up how I like them. However, I cannot find the smart lock feature anywhere to set up trusted locations. I did set up my lock screen with a pin.
I googled to make sure this model has smart lock on lollipop and it does. I went through the steps on my moto x to make sure I wasn't missing it on the turbo.
I downloaded smart switch on my new phone but it isnt compatible with the old one. what is the best way to transfer my files such as contact list and photos to the new phone.
W shooting video in bright sunlight the LCD screen on Samsung S5 smart phone blocks out the screen from the clare. How do I correct that to have a clear LCD to look at.
I was just reading a press release about features the new Moto Droid Razr will have and they listed "Smart Actions", which is a very very neat feature. What "Smart Actions" does is enable the phone's user to set up certain conditions and situations that would set off specific actions by the phone. Sure, you can probably find a similar app in the Android Market, but isn't it nicer to find this app on your phone right out of the box?internal clock on the handset and the GPS, you can set your screen to lower the brightness by 20% at a certain time of day, or turn off the sound at a certain location. Not only can this function as a saver (increasing battery life by up to 30% according to Motorola) by turning on and off certain features at specific times or places, you can also use "Smart Actions" to make sure that your favorite website is up on the browser, refreshed and up to date when you get up in the morning. You can also set your not to ring while at a meeting. Motorola includes some preloaded and suggested rules to help get you started.
I just got my fourth m8 from HTC for the camera issue. I was using the iPhone for about a week and was able to get mostly everything like text and pictures from it using HTC sync, but I wasn't able to get videos.
I just bought my first xperia. my previous phone was an galaxy S5. On my galaxy i had a search option (S search) who used a keyword to search all my content (mail, music, messages, contacts etc.)
Home screen always looks washed out but yet, apps, videos, pics, etc. all look fine? In fact the skin tones etc. in vids and pics are much more realistic than most phones.
I mean, I know this isn't an amoled and has a reputation for being less vibrant than other phones. But I just notice the home screen and icons always look much more washed out than actual content on the phone which looks great.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get rid of the vodafone content from the vivaz? and also i dont use twitter so can that be taken out of the phone also?
