Home screen always looks washed out but yet, apps, videos, pics, etc. all look fine? In fact the skin tones etc. in vids and pics are much more realistic than most phones.
I mean, I know this isn't an amoled and has a reputation for being less vibrant than other phones. But I just notice the home screen and icons always look much more washed out than actual content on the phone which looks great.
seems a bit lame compared to other questions! But, how do I set it so that when I recieve a text, it beeps every two minutes or so instead of just once? I can't find it anywhere! Also, when a text does come, the actual message quickly scrolls across the black bar at the top of the home screen..can I remove this? I would normally have the screen locked anyway but if i'd just used it and left it on the table for instance.
View 1 Replies View Related- I've already tried the suggested fixes that I could find on the forums of changing the unlocking animation and whatnot but the problem persists no matter what when reverting back to a password/pattern lock/fingerprint lockscreen.

When using any lockscreen other than swipe to unlock, my lockscreen seems to have a grey filter overlayed on top of it. It's super noticeable when using a black wallpaper. The AMOLED display should not be visible in the dark (as if it's off) but the screen is noticeably lit as if it were an LCD display. When using images as my lockscreen wallpaper they are not as vivid as when viewing the image in the gallery or even as my wallpaper on the homescreen.
The problem has gone on and off when dealing with the night clock with updates. sometimes the 'black' screen will be lit up and defeat the purpose of the nightclock and kill the battery, and sometimes the screen is pitch black and just the time is displayed dimly as it should be. Wondering if i should take it into the sprint store to see if a replacement would remedy this.

I bought an iphone 4s (the black one), and I noticed that my screen is a little yellow. I compared the iphone with friend's white iphone 4s and my screen looks washed out and yellow, and his screen looks more bluer and clean.

Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

View 14 Replies View RelatedA new problem has developed with my phone. It's hard to describe but it looks as if there is fluid under the screen (I don't have a screen protector btw). You can push the bubble of fluid (if that's what it is) around with your finger and see it move under the screen. Most unsettling. I'm at a complete loss to know what to do. MY PHONE AT NO TIME HAS GOT WET OR EVEN SPLASHED - I'VE KEPT IT COMPLETELY DRY. I HAVEN'T EVEN HANDLED IT WITH WET HANDS.
The problem is only visible on the home screen and it's not affecting the functionality of the phone in any way. However, it's a bad problem because now I've lost all security on my phone - it doesn't ask for a fingerprint swipe any more so anyone can immediately gain access to my phone merely by touching the bubble.
Interestingly, the problem disappears completely if I run the Samsung Galaxy S6 4G in Safe Mode.

When i dial into voicemail it tells me there are no messages.I Have rang my network provider(3) they did a restore on my phone using itunes on my computer(remotely)but the circle is still there.I took it to my local Apple store(Milton Keynes) when he took the sim card out with the phone still switched on it dissapeared.But when he reinserted the sim it came back.

It has been happening on and off for the past few weeks, but I dismissed it because it really doesn't cause me any issues.When wake the phone for the first time in the morning (using the side button above the volume), I'm met with a pixellated and hard to read screen. To fix this, I simply press the sleep button again, then wake it. The screen problem won't recur for the rest of the day, but is likely to happen very first thing the next morning.I've attached two photos, one of the screen problem, and another of how the screen looks normally. You can see there is a big difference.
Personally, I'm not that bothered by the problem the phone works fine in all other respects and the screen is obviously fine. I don't know if it's a software bug, or if I have some kind of hardware problem that could escalate.I'd rather not be without my phone, I really like it, and would be willing to put up with the problem if it doesn't get any worse. But, perhaps you think I should get it checked out sooner rather than later?My partner bought this phone on the same day, and he hasn't had the problem once.
