I would like to put an Emergency Contact on the home page of my phone. have the phone password protected, so when I hit the power button I see what time my alarm is set, and how many new emails have arrived. Is the a way to create a notification that would always exist on the home page that I can add the text?

I recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues. When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI wanna mention some troubles with double tap feature, whenever I take my z5 out of pocket while this feature is turned on, I see that phone screen is on and some numbers tapped by emergency dialpad, also sometimes I see wifi or bluetooth is on though they were off...
also I got yesterday a c5 ultra at half price of z5 but surprisingly I realized c5 is much more stable smooth than z5.. Z5 is much more laggy in menus contacts apps etc than c5 which is faster and more lag-free.....What is the reason of this? Why laggy phone two times expensive? Should we wait for an update or android 6 marshmallow to get a ultra fast z5? The most important thing for me is fast transition between screens, I dont care high graphic games, 8K video record, 85mp camera etc but as I said performance of z5 not so well currently.. Why a highend phone cant handle even menu transitions..
Here's the deal.. I was driving today and all of a sudden my phone just stopped working.. I saw a notification saying I should restore my phone or contact apple.. My phone still powers on, I still have my custom lock screen and all but I can only make emergency calls and access SBSettings which doesn't actually work anymore. So I tried to restore the the custom firmware and itunes keeps giving me the 1600 error .. I have heard iReb can fix this but I dont even know if its compatible with the 3GS for this issue.. I have tried but its kinda confusing and hasnt exactly worked..

Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
I searched the forum and found this problem mentioned a few times in the past, but the solutions are all for older OS, that is not applicable to the current 6.0 OS. There does not seem to be a "Dial From Home Screen" option to check any more.
Used to be, typing the beginning of a name from the Home screen brought up matches in the Contacts list so you could easily call them.Now when I type a name, other apps (mail,texts, etc) will display matches, but nothing from contacts. Indeed, dialing from the Home screen doesn't work at all -- I can't even type in a number.
T-Mobile forced an updated to my Samsung 5 Android last evening. Now the Contact shortcuts created by the Widgets have disappeared from my home screen. I created them again they sat there for a few hours and then disappeared, now I'm creating them for the third time.

Im finding out that the iPhone 4 takes more time to get to my contacts even though there is a favorites section. I'd like to put that on the home screen instead of having to click phone>contacts>favorites>then scroll to find my favorites. I want to swipe to the contacts page and click one of my top 9 favorite contacts! Possible? If not, I plead with Apple to make this possible. It was the only thing I liked about my Droid!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI kindly ask all people to post improvement suggestions for Nokia X6 here. I currently have 2 proposals:
1.) I would prefer a setting that "disables" the screen after I have hit a letter / number on the QWERTZ keyboard until I remove the finger. That would enable me to type really fast as hitting the right letter / no. is not a problem at all. The current solution where the hit letter can change when removing the thumb slighty to a side does more damage than good.
2.) Please make an update to the Contact list on the "Home Screen": The added contacts should be automatically sorted in alphabetical order!
I bought a 3G from the US, which came locked of course. It's on the emergency call screen. The phone was running 4.0.1 as I was told by the seller.
I've tried Redsn0w but using 4.0 as all the tutorials state, no dice. I've tried making a 4.0 firmware in pwnage tool, no dice, iTunes doesn't like me going backwards on the firmware builds.
What are my options? Even if I could get the past activation I could log into safari and get wireless and then go to the unlock website in safari.
I ran Redsnow and pointed to iphone 1,2 restore and everything went fine but when it restarted it went back to emergency call screen. I want to get this iphone up and running with a tmobile card that I bought to start with and go from there. Is there a way now? before I ran redsnow iboot was 596.24....what do I try now I think I have all on my desktop red ultra etc.

In the meantime I got a new SIM issued and put it in my old Blackberry for him to use. 4 days later he found the phone. I took it into AT&T to have the SIM changed over and we are unable to get past the screen that says Emergency call only and displays a number pad. The screen saver says in red Iphone is disabled connect to iTunes. I did bring it to my house to try and connect to itunes but when I did that it asks me to put the password of the phone into the phone, which I cannot do as it only will let me make emergency calls...

Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

Haven't done a factory or master reset, and don't want to if not needed. Will accept inbound calls, but can't open anything, and MotoCast can't find the phone, Motophone tools not for this phone OS.

1) I can text, email, surf, but I CANT call people. When I try to call people, it says "emergency calls only."
2) All of the icons/email preview does not show up on the home page. Even after a hard reset they were still not there.I also tried putting my SIM card into another phone, and it worked perfectly fine, but when I put that person's SIM card into my Nokia phone, it had the same problem. Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix it? I only bought it in December, so I'm hoping Nokia will just send me a new one.I'm a Mac guy who also has an interest in Symbian/Android.
