I am wondering why my n96runs so slow. Its running on vers 30 with no other apps running in the background other than email on 3 which has never caused a problem before but for some reason it seems really slow and laggy, Simple operations like opening a text take several minutes its so frustrating. Any ideas what I can do or will it need to be the old faithful reset?
I have a bold 9870, I downloaded a theme from applications and now cannot do anything with my phone. It is running really slow, takes about 5 mins to reset (taking battery out) and I can't get into any functions, especially the setting so I can get rid of the theme.Anyone got any ideas so I can get my phone back to normal?
I was having duplicate contacts, so i have performed the "rset"command to delete the duplicates and re-sync contacts with server.since then my bb is running too slow and freezes.when I go to mobile network options -> turn "data services" OFF my BB works fine but when i turned "data services" ON it works very slow and battery drains in period of 4 hours.
if i do a hard full reset will that reset eveything including the first hotmail live account i put in on the first day of activation because im not living in the same country anymore and want to start a new zune/marketplace account to buy apps i have no problem with hard reset IF It will work?
My phone has gotten to where when I am typing a text message it'll get so slow and almost freeze up and just stop and I got to wait and let it come back before I finish. I am running .131 on my Alltel 8330. Also, the 507 error I believe it is, happens to me a lot & I have had to completely reinstall the whole OS so many times. My battery doesn't really last very long at all. It doesn't compare to many that I hear about & my signal just isn't that great. Sometimes it runs good & won't really be that slow or lag but these past couple days it has been lagging bad & even with scrolling. Memory is NOT an issue I can reboot up with 45 & it'll go down to around 39 throughout the day.
I've tried .127 OS that my phone came with, used .131, used a hybrid before and tried .169 but the notification problem is too annoying.
I have Nokia E72 and i have a lot problems with it. Phone just freezes on random time, when i unlock keyboard, sent sms or end a call. Sometimes it freezes during a call. Screen slowly shutdown and then it just turns on again. Automatically turns off when i hit it at something. I don't know what's wrong, it was on service, but they didn't fix a problem. Phone is very slow when i have saved messages. (i got them like 300) but when i delete them it's fast again. Anybody got the same problem?
Are you experiencing a slow GPS fix on your E72 using ovi maps? Frustrated that the problem persist without any solutions? Your phone plan doesn't allow the use of 3G or any equivalent service? Worry no more people. I have a solution!
1) Go to Menu > Control panel > Settings > General > Positioning > Positioning method 2) Once you'r in Positioning Methods, disable ALL positioning methods including integrated GPS. 3) Count to 10, and enable the relevant positioning methods. I usually enable Integrated GPS, Wi-Fi/Network and Network Based. There is no need to use A-GPS for this. 4) Go to Ovi Maps and drive/walk/fly. It should get a fix within 1 minute or so.......
I purchased my E72 last week and installed the latest Nokia Maps with free navigation support.
I had an absolutely seamless GPS connection in the initial three to four days of usage, but now, it takes me an eternity for the GPS to connect to the satellite. I have to wait for a minimum of 5-10 minutes every time I want to use the GPS. I tried reinstalling the maps, but that did not help, either. Should I Hard Reset the phone? Is there any simpler method?
I had installed what's app in my lumia 610..ND the speed to load it nd open it is very slow since the day I had installed it..how can I overcome this problem?
We have a bunch of E72 syncing against Exchange 2003.Even if we set the sync to "sync always" it takes about 10-15 min for an email to appear in the phone. Is that what we can expect?I am used to BlackBerry where the emails appear faster than in Outlook.
Since about a week, my telephone is extermely slow by typing. Whether I'm wrting a SMS or Active notes, the words in the display come long after I typed them in the keyboard. What coul it be the reason for it? Is there anyway to solve this problem?
I have just bought nokia n97 but when i am writing sms its going very slow. im writing carahcter and the phone is coming after me. and also when i wanna use navigation to find a place, the phone is giving warning that "gps is waiting" but gps is not connection.. does somebody can help me about it? i try to find a software update to fix it but i could not find it also..
When I go to http://maps.ovi.com/ on my PC there is always a long wait (typically 5 minutes) while it downloads data before I can use the site or even login. What is it downloading and why? I live in Huddersfield so why does it finally change from the unwanted world map to an unwanted map of Birmingham? Am I doing something wrong (I do, of course, regularly clear out my temp files)
My Ovi Mail is loading really slow, if at all. I sometimes get this error "504 Gateway Time-out". The above happens when I use a PC, and has been happening since the last few days.
Anybody can help me, suddenly my phone began to be very slow when is starting, take 5 minute to start the main screen.notice that I take out the microsd card, inmediately run and star the well.
Well I have purchased n82 a month ago now my mobile is acting very slow, if I use nokia maps and exit from it, my phone hang after it I have to turn off then turn on the phone to access the options. Second problem is GPS satellite finding no connection to the satellites even for a second. I installed Garmin Mobile Xt 5.00.80 when I'm going to run the Garmin the logo shows then it turn back to menu nothing is happened.
I just bought a Nokia C5. I often travel abroad and do not want to use A-GPS component in my phone because it is very expensive. My question is this. Why is TimeToFirstFix so slow? Once the satellite is found, the phone update quickly.
I have just upgraded from a Nokia X6 to an N8. I use the calendar function a lot but have noticed that when using it it is very slow to do anything. If I create a new event it takes a few seconds after I press a key for things to happen. The X6 calendar didn't have any issues of this kind. Also, on the X6 if the calandar alarm went off and I didn't touch the phone it would keep going off every 10 minutes, the N8 calendar alarm goes off once and that's it!
I had a personal backup folder with the size of 7gb in mass memory and I deleted it. Then everything became slow, very slow! The message app is taking a plenty of time to send a message, the screen saver takes almost 8 seconds to come up...so everything is pretty slow.I already restarted my phone several times, but it stays the same.
Just wondering, has anyone noticed that when you try to type fast (i.e. typing the letter 'ben' fast) the first two letters 'be' are registered, but the last letter 'n' is not?I havent updated to latest firmware (031.032 i think) cuz i read there are a lot of problems. not sure if it outweights current firmware.
This phone has been incredibly slow when using OVI maps or just at random times there will be no response from any buttons. I just had a "lock up" event and the flash bulb turned on by itself and stayed on until I removed the battery. Very slow to get to camera mode as well, sometimes up to ONE MINUTE before it starts up.
I like my e73 that i got a part of t-mobile upgrade with full price option. i like the fact that it quickly connected to the web etc usnig WiFi inside my house - i had some hiccups connecting at other places and checking my gmail using WAP. but a bigger problem, when i head out of my house - my e73 phone goes from wifi (pink hotspot tmobile circle) to 3g - i live in dallas fort worth metro area. i see many bars (horizontal lines stacked) to show a good 3g reception. after i have crossed the street corner, my cell phone is not able to go through the contacts book to call someone. as soon as i reboot the cell ph, it is all normal. making contacts, other folders run on memory card memory, did not fix it. i have hte latest patches - all got thro wifi.
Has anyone tried playing facebook games like the popular ones called Restaurant City?..Ive been attempting to play it on my N900 in stock mode <600mgz> (before where i still didnt know how to overclock) and in overclocked state<1ghz>, but to my disappointment it runs quite slow, and i mean to say waaayy tooo slow like the FPS runs 2 screen rate per second...
Not sure why, my N900 seems to be pretty slow in opening up web pages. The home screen says that I am on 3.5G. At times the page wouldn't even get loaded (white screen or connection error). To test if it is due to bad coverage, I pull out the SIM card and put it back to my N97. And the web pages seem to load a lot faster (and smoother). This is strange. Is there some settings I need to fiddle with? I have tried changing the memory cache size from 5MB up but the improvement does not seem to be consistant. Now, I set the cache to auto.
I'm going to Europe soon and wanted to use my N97 OVI Maps as a navigation aid, so I've been testing it today in offline mode as data charges abroad are horrendous. My problem is that when trying to search for POI's i.e. Cash Machines, Restaurants, Train Stations etc. the offline search takes a very, very long time (perhaps over 5 minutes), if it completes at all. The phone locks up before it eventually shows me the results and then after 10-15 mins of waiting, I have to remove the battery to restart the phone for it to become usable again.
