Nokia :: Ovi Mail Is Loading Slow
Jan 13, 2010My Ovi Mail is loading really slow, if at all. I sometimes get this error "504 Gateway Time-out". The above happens when I use a PC, and has been happening since the last few days.

2. I would like to be alble to search all my emails that are in inbox so I selected downloda emails: all(my translation may be not accurate) is sync settings. That coused the phone to download all my emails from my google account that is approx. 10000 messages. Now the search function in mail app is super slow (like 30 seconds to display anything). I changed the sync options to sync only emails from last month but it didnt change anything.

Dec 23, 2013When I'm about to send a text and choose a recipient, there's like a 3-5 second delay? It's annoying, anyway to fix it? Also when I log into Facebook, it just shows the loading circle for a long time. I would have to click on news feed for it to be normal. It never used to do that.

Jun 29, 2010Loading web pages ..especially on Howard Forums and sending emails is exceptionally slower than on my 3GS. I can't compare yet because I'm waiting for my sim adapter. I was impatient with my 3GS on occasion..but not enough to complain about. With the iPhone 4 the data connection just spins without any movement. Signal strength doesn't matter. Typically I have five bars and still painfully slow-even just sitting on a table without antenna interference.Anyone else have the same experience? I'm wondering if I have a defective device?

Feb 18, 2012I downloaded SwiftKey-X...and every time I reboot the phone..the dock first loads some of my apps..usually the last downloaded apps.Example..i switch the phone on, and where my contact/messaging/phone icons are..are now, FireFox, and 2 or others.This eventually fixes itself after about 15 seconds.If i remove SwiftKey, then this doesn't occur at all.

Jan 8, 2010So lately, I've been having trouble with my storm running very slow. It does the "loading" graphic, or the spinning clock, or whatever it's called ALL the time. I pop my battery all the time and it doesn't seem to help. And the Storm will do this even when I have barely anything open. For example, at the moment, if I press the menu key, the only programs I have are my browser, BBM, the home icon, message icon and phone icon. That's it. But every time I pick my phone up to do something, I get the loading thing. I tried clearing my browser cache, but that didn't help. I also deleted a bunch of saved y!m message logs and deleted some pics, but still no go. It never used to be this slow, I have Verizon Wireless, and I'm running on V4.7.0.148.

Jun 20, 2011I have a brand new E7 configured with my corporate Exchange 2003 server account and my private gmail. E7 runs the most current SW P1.1 014.002.263.03.Mail/calendar/contacts sync works but opening a received mail with any attachment listed (even how tiny, like 1kb jpeg) on the mail application takes ages. If I click on a message on the mail list it can take upto 30 seconds before the screen shows the message. During the time the phone freezes, even the hardware buttons are not responding. The symptom is the same on Exchange and Gmail accounts. Messages not having any attachments open in about 4 secs. I have tried to delete the accounts etc. but no joy.The mails are received as push, I have tried also scheduled receiving, offline mode etc. but the speed is the same. Is anyone else seeing this and is there anything to be done? The speed of the mail application is so poor that it prevents me to use the E7 as the business phone.

Jan 11, 2010I'm using a Storm 9530 on the T-Mobile network. When I first unlocked the phone everything was fine and dandy, but I found out that I needed to update my APN to a TMO friendly one, so I did. After that, everything was still fine and dandy. But EARLY this morning I started having this problem with my BB trying to retrieve my Yahoo! mail. Sometimes it takes a minute or so and other times, most of the time, it takes around 15 to 20 minutes! It wasn't doing this before and it's kind of frustrating.
What's even worse is that my Hotmail and BB Mail get updated instantly, but not the Yahoo! one.
A similar thing is happening with my Facebook updates. I'm not getting them as often as I used to be...
I've tried doing several battery pulls.
I've tried removing the sim card and placing it back in.
I've tried resending the books.
I've tried deleting the Yahoo! mail and setting it back up again, but I still have this problem.
The T-Mobile APN that I'm using is epc.tmobile.com

Jun 11, 2010Every time i go to set an mailbox (i.e gmail) i just enter the password and the device just take me to the screen to choose E-mail (Ovi Mail, Yahoo, Gmail...).. Nothing happens.
I have an iphone and setting an e-mail account was peace of cake. Nokia drives me crazy. I did factory defaults and everything but nothing seems to help. I can access internet by wi-fi and by my operator (successfully browse the WEB).

Feb 13, 2010I have a Nokia 5800XM and ovi store will not load on the latest firmware. I have tried reinstalling the firmware a couple of times and i have also factory reset the phone a couple of times as well.I have found that if i am logged in to ovi store it just displays the ovi slash screen and just sits there without doing anything. however i am not logged into ovi it comes up with a script initialization failure error and closes. I have also tried removing all ovi store software and reinstall the software on a fresh firmware with factory default settings. this didn't work either. My phone details are as follows

Nokia Navigation :: Loading Country Map Into E72?
Dec 10, 2012Can somebody advise me how to load a map of Thailand into the E72 phone? When connecting to the Nokia Suite, map of Thailand is not available. But the other phone Nokia 500 could find the map on web and through "actualisation" and "add map" icons the map of Thailand could be downloaded. But the E72 does not offer the possibility of loading the map directly from net (could not find any icon "add map"). According to manual, E72 offers only loading the maps through the Nokia Suite (but this does not contain the Thailand map). To solve the problem means - how to force the phone E72 to be able to download the maps from net. Where is the problem - phone itself (should I upgrade the system) or the application Maps (should I upgrade the application Maps)? Seems to me unbelievable that (when the map actually exists) I could not get it into E72 phone.

May 13, 2010A problem started recently that has not occured before.My phone can connect successfully to a WLAN point but when I try to access a page, whether new or from recently visited, it states it is "connecting via (wlan name)" but then cuts out and goes back to the previous menu.Furthermore if I select "options" from the "Bookmarks" option that also takes me back to the "Internet" menu.I have reset the factory settings, deleted the wlan access point and reloaded it, but to no avail.
