We have a bunch of E72 syncing against Exchange 2003.Even if we set the sync to "sync always" it takes about 10-15 min for an email to appear in the phone. Is that what we can expect?I am used to BlackBerry where the emails appear faster than in Outlook.
View 5 RepliesSynchronizing my N96 with ovi suite via bluetooth is horribly slow.Transferring only a single photo for example takes about 10 minutes.Even when I only sync contacts and messages, I can wait like 5 minutes or longer.Is there any known issue about syncing an N96 with ovi suite via bluetooth?I cant imagine why it would take so long.When I use direct file transfer, and not ovi suite, to transfer the same photo to my PC, it works at normal speed. (less than 10 seconds)When I use the usb cable to sync to ovi suite, its working at normal speed as well.Any ideas about this?

Why is taking so long to sync what must only be a few KB of data? I have less than 100 contacts in there.

we have a micro soft exchange server without BES and I wanted to know if there is anyway of syncing my phone wireless with mail/contact/calendar/task etc - its seems to be doing this know but very slowly, my handset is displaying read & unread emails but its not what is on my work PC! Does Blackberry offer an application for this? To receive emails on a Blackberry do you need to a BES? I thought that owning a Blackberry was going to revolutionize my emailing experience, might just go back to the iPhone!

On my old Rant I received the emails instantly. Is there a 3rd party email that is available. Please help not really wanting to go back to my Rant phone but need phone that will deliver my work emails quick. Work emails are not on any kind of exchange server either. Just simple MS Outlook through our local cable company.

Why would my iPhone send messages, text and emails, videos and pictures quickly for months, then, inexplicably, for a period of two weeks, consistently, take 30 seconds or minutes to send any length text, email or photos? And it doesn't go any faster whether I am on my carrier network, or the broadband wifi.

This exceptional phone should blow away my Galaxy S3 but the Z3 is slower than any other smartphone I've used.
I have just gotten my first BB and am having issues with my email accounts syncing between my handset and server. I have two accounts one of which is a gmail set up through email wizard. When I check email online, often read messages stay marked unread for hours and days. The next day I can come back and the emails still haven't synced. Is anyone else having a problem with a very slow sync between the device and server?
In the meantime, I've downloaded the gmail app to use but I would prefer using bb's set-up.
I have noticed that, after syncing, many of the songs on my phone have about 55 duplicates. None of these duplicates are on iTunes, and they don't appear in any of my playlists or albums, just in the Songs category on my phone. Instead of having around 1800 songs, I end up with 21 or 22,000 songs, mostly duplicates. I don't use iTunes Match or the Cloud. I can delete these duplicates, but there are way too many to do it manually, and they still appear in grey when I delete them. This is making the iTunes on my phone very slow.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?
Been using the N900 for a few weeks now, replacing one of my superb E90s. So far, sort of so good, the major differences in the user interface are causing a few issues, but I sort of expected that!Does anyone have any answers to the following please?
1. Is there some way of being notified of my emails better? I have four accounts on my Nokia Messaging account, and I have to open each one and check each inbox individually. Pain in the neck; is there an app that shows on the main menu screen what new emails are in which box?
2. Can SMS be marked read? My N900 keeps reporting that I have so many new SMSs, but I have actually read them;
3. Why do all my contacts' birthdays come up twice in the calendar? That's just annoying - it looks as though the N900 is adding a birthday automatically;
4. Is there a setting to allow the system to change from portrait to landscape and back again? My device only seems to do this on a few applications - is this normal?
5. Skype - is there a way to see which contacts are on line, other than having to wade through the contact lists? I have over 2,000 contacts and it is pretty time consuming, if I am just looking for a chat with anyone about.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."

I can however see Calender events. I cant set up a Blackberry Account. Then accessing the BlackBerry Internet Service web site screen because my network is not shown and after choosing all of the networks shown and entering IMEI and PIN details I get a failure screen.

Since then, each time I try to start the Emails Setup Initialization, it ask me to activate my email accounts. You check the ones who want and it asks you to Verify the email by entering your password what I gladly did multiple times. When I press Verify it simply crash and say it's unable to Verify.Well, I tried to roll back before my upgrade. The rollback worked but didn't solved my problem.

I also keep getting email messages that say " This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server" and a load of code. I get loads of these in one day/night. My work email is being accessed via MS Webmail as far as I understand.

I searched this forum and looked through dozens of topics, but none seemed to quite fit my circumstances.What I do is, if I get an email on my iPhone while I'm away from home and my wireless network, I read and answer it with the iPhone. Then when I get home, I open Mail on my laptop and it "gets" the same email, marked as unread with no record of a reply. Perfectly natural.Then I plug in my iPhone and it syncs - I do specifically see the "Syncing Mail accounts" portion on iTunes - but the emails on my laptop remain unread and the reply email does not appear in the sent mail folder. That hardly seems synced to me, and I'm not sure what's causing the problem.
