I cant sync, respond to texts, receive emails, just about anything but make phone calls. Is this due to the blackberry problem I've been hearing about?
View 3 RepliesExactly as the heading suggests - I cannot make or receive calls or texts, and it has been like this for over a day now. And yes, I do have signal. Everything else is fine, and it isn't a problem with the service provider.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5

I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". What do I do?

I try to send it to my own email address as well, I also only receive symbols, like question marks. I'm using rogers but I don't think it has anything to do with the carriers because it was okay before.

But now there is no button that works. When i restart my blackberry, I see that it's verifying the software and it's clear. The home-screen is on and i cant do anything. Its the new OS 6.0.0.344.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is the third torch I have had in the last 3 months. I've returned the phone because it continues to delete texts and emails every week or so. Never do the emails or texts last more than a couple weeks. I always have my display options set to forever and I amy using less than 20% of the memory. I don't know what else to do, but it's extremely frustrating.

I don't get the notification that I have voicemail. I've reset the phone, taken the battery and sim card out but it still hasn't fixed the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI started the contract in November 2011 with a Torch 9860.I had numerous problems with the phone freezing and randomly losing data such as texts, call logs and emails. In 9 months I've had 5 phones and 1 sim card change, 2 weeks ago BT changed the handset to a Torch 9810. The phone has worked fine till Friday when it started doing funny things like randomly receiving texts which were from old conversations. On saturday afternoon it lost all data by way of texts, call logs and emails that were over 24 hours old and in the last hour has lost everything over 6 hours old.I have all calls, texts and emails going into the messages list and have that set to save everything for ever so I can chose when to delete information.As I;m a consultant I need my call logs, texts and emails to work out my billing so this really is a pain.

For this purpose, I stopped receipt of emails by turning off - via Manage Connections - both the Mobile Network & the WiFi. Hence, I was running silent. Having returned home, I want to initiate receipt of emails again BUT do NOT want the several hundred emails accumulated during my travels to be pushed to my handheld (I remained in touch with emails on trip by using my laptop). Question: how can I now turn on my Mobile Network & WiFi connections and not have pushed to my BB all the emails accumulated over the past 2 months (they still remain on my email server)?

IMAP is enabled and have followed all the gmail instructions and blackberry helps guides but I think I am missing something. The extension of the email is not gmail it is my company name [URL] I cannot receive my work emails on my blackberry which is make life so difficult!

The IT dept where I work has checked everything out but their only solution is to wipe the whole blackberry and start over. I would love to avoid this. They checked my settings and tried them in another device and it worked fine.

I purchased a German SIM card that is not for Blackberries (because they required me to sign a 2-year contract and I didn't want that), but I was told that this plan gave me unlimited data and that I would be able to check my emails, go on FB, etc. Last night I inserted the German SIM card on my phone and everything worked fine (I checked some emails and downloaded an app) but today I did not receive any emails, could not access FB, AppWorld or any other function that required WiFi. The phone is connected to WiFi and the O2 mobile network.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLet the guy in the store "sync" with Desktop Manager. No link through enterprise server until I can get to office computer but that's ok. I am trying to work through MSN account. But it won't receive emails, it won't send emails and it won't let me change the set up.
When I go into setup, it asks for the user name and password. I use my msn user name (inclusive of the @msn.com) and it says it is too short and must be 4 characters! It is! If I leave off the @msn.com, it says my info is wrong.
And I can't figure out how to remove the email account so I can try setting it up again.I did try to set up my gmail account - same issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've just swapped a Bold for a Torch. I'm trying to sync my hotmail email account to it. I go to the set-up wizard as per usual and I'm told to "move my email accounts to receive emails to my new device" It tells me to insert my password, which I do. Message pops up saying the password has been verified. Then that's it. It just then has the option of returning to setup options. I go to my Messages folder and its tells me that no message services has been configured and it all starts again. My Facebook messages are in there but no hotmail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Moto Assist at home, so I can answer calls/texts with my voice and am notified by voice. When I get an incoming text now, I am asked if I would like to listen to the message, like always. Then it chimes like it's supposed to, indicating that it's my turn to say a command, but now, it just keeps chiming, and chiming, and it doesn't stop, never allowing me to say anything. The only way to stop it is to close the program.
When I receive an incoming call, I guess the usual, "Call from {name}, say Answer or Ignore". That works perfectly fine. But if I MISS the call, and it asks if I would like to send a text message to the caller, I run into the same issue as above.
I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the Assist updates. But I can't get it to function like it used to.
i can send text messages, recieve phone calls, make phonecalls and use all my apps but my phone will not recieve any of my texts?
