I have succesfully transferred the mp3 files to the memory card, but after I chose "Refresh Library", it keep searching and can't update the song to the playlist.

Carrier is Virgin Media; OS is V4.6.1.314 (platform 4.2.0.135); Desktop Manager Version is 5.0.1.2.8 I have transferred photos, music and some documents from my PC successfully to my BB using Desktop Manager. However some .doc files transfer, but I cannot open them on the BB. I get an error message saying a file cannot be opened as it is an RTF file. I also notice that when I start to transfer the files, the little window that pops up does not give me the option to convert them - it is grayed out. Help please - I am totally new to Blackberry and not a whiz!

I know where they are, but when I try to open them, I get a message indicating the computer doesn't recognize the file type. What program do I use to view them? For example : i try to transfer an application to my device (I put it in Download folder) but when I go to my nexus 5 (Storage ==> Downloads) I can't see the application (like if it is hidden) and the same thing to the rest (document, music, video...) but when I transfer photos over the PTP, there is no problem.
I try to put something in a different folder in the storage of my nexus 5 but i have the same problem (it doesn't appear). I also try to creat another folder and transfer to it but in this case I see what I transfer but I can't click on it or select it.
I am trying to sync itunes with the Motoactv using the USB cord. As of right now I can see all of the prepopulated itunes playlists in MotoCast (ie 90s music, recently added) but none of the playlists I have created myself nor does it display the full population of music I currently have in itunes (306 in MotoCast versus 910 in itunes). When I go to sync it says the sync was successful but that 0 files were transferred. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or a different want to get this to sync. I am currently running Window XP, MotoCast Version 1.7.0151.0, and ITunes Version 10.5.3.3.

I have activated my free music download account using the PIN that was messaged to me.Now when I try and download songs using the ovi music downloader, it does not get transferred. The error message says: "Transfer Complete: 0 of 1 songs were transferred successfully".
View 7 Replies View RelatedI planed a route on the Nokia Maps site with a couple of waypoints and some options (no toll roads, no motorways) to get it the way I wanted.
Then I did the synchronization of favorites on the phone and the route was there. But when I tried to open the route on the phone the "Calculating route" message appears and the route that shows up is COMPLETELY different from the one on the Nokia Maps: different roads, strange ways to get to the waypoints, ... In short I can not use this route on the phone as I would like.
Is there a way to transfer complete route AS IS from Nokia Maps to the phone Maps application?
I am able to transfer media files (mp3) to the phone with my Ubuntu 12.04 with no problem at all. However, the phone does not recognize files when I go to Nokia Music application. Software says that all the Music "folders" (Albums, Genres etc.) are empty. I have tried putting the mp3 files in all possible folders ( music, documents etc) on phone, but no luck. I have also tried several different mp3 files.

I can create other playlists and delete them, but not these five. View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm waiting for this since about 3 years on Symbian.I'm able to create a music playlist but what about video?I can create *.m3u playlist of let's say *.mp4 files which is recognized by i.e. real player. Then I can copy it to my Video folder. However when I run it on my n8 the music player starts and plays audio only. How can I do this to force full video playback by video not music player?I think there is no way to do this right now. But I hope someone from Nokia will read this and will push it further. I think it's not hard or expensive to implement it in the future software release and it will add another great "PC-like" feature.

Could someone tell me how to save the Playlist's created in the Music Player of a Nokia 5800 to a PC ? Every time I have to format my phone (apparently something goes wrong all the times), lose the playlists n its a headache having to search n add all the songs to a playlist, especially wen there are over 24 hours of music.
I tried Ovi Player but it scans the phone n says tht there are no playlists in the phone whereas I have created about 7 playlists in my music player. My Msic folders would not change in my memory card so saving n restoring these playlist would save me loads of time by not having to create them over n over again.

I am trying to play them using the default music player, which I belive is the only player that can show up on the home screen. I can create my own playlist, but it looks like I have to add songs one by one to the playlist, which is a huge pain.
If I use "all songs", then some of the garbage ringtones and mp3s that came with the phone also get included.
So how do I add a large amount of songs to a playlist?
On a side note, the default music player doesn't support OGG files. How do I enable OGG support on default music player?
I've just had a CK-600 car kit installed and I was hoping to see music tracks / playlist information on the display. I've tried both a Nokia E51 and a Blackberry 9800 and both allow tracks to be skipped etc. but don't show any information about the track being played on the screen. I've taken the following infomation from a (non- Nokia) website for a UK car kit installer which says about the CK-600 -

1. I recently updated my Nokia PC Suite with my phone connected to computer as I wanted to save time. But following the update I noticed the Playlist had disappeared. The problem is that I have thousands of songs and it took me a long time to sort these songs. I don't want to go through it again. I can see the playlists names only (no songs) in computer as they were when I connect my phone to PC Suite but not on the phone.
2. I went to great lenghts to unlock my phone just to get updated software. I am currently on v30 and wanted to update it to v40. But after unlocking my phone I found my phone still does not show updated software.
I am one of the user of 5800XM,recently, I tried to play a music playlist / an entire CD album with the alarm function,I would like the effect as an ipod which start playing music at specific time,
however, I discovered that, the alarm in 5800XM allows only one music file being selected as the alarm tone,moreover, even when a song is selected, it would be played for may be 30 sec / 1 min sth when alarm activated,which means, it cannot plays the whole song till it finished before 5800XM went back to silence again,
I have searched over the internet for any tips or any S60 software to take that task,unluckily, there seems to be none of them works,here, I sincerely hope that someone could suggest a solution for me, such that.I CAN USE THE ALARM on 5800XM to PLAY a PLAYLIST exactly like how ipod's alarm function can do.
Just got the X6 on Virgin Mobile, previously having owned the 5530.Has anyone else had a problem with the Playlist DJ appication, or is it just me? Namely, the songs stop playing after a number of tracks of the 25 it would normally play. Sometimes after 2nd track, 8th track etc - random it seems.I use this extensively as my main music player and had no problems with the 5530. The tracks stop randomly, when they get to the end of the current song - never in the middle of a song. Means I'm having to take the phone out of my pocket to restart it. I've even deleted the application and re-downloaded it from the Ovi store. But normal albums play in sequence without a problem.As I'm in the 28 day cooling off period (never been on a contract before), am I allowed to return the phone for another handset, if this is a software bug?
