I would like to completely purge all leftovers files from when I rooted my Nexus 5.
I tried something with another device I own - the Nexus 7 2012 - and that was using TWRP and remove all the files from "/". Of course, it would fail to remove everything (permissions?) and cause the device to freeze, but forcing reboot would allow to enter bootloader and flash everything fresh and lock the bootloader (I used Nexus Root Toolkit). It has not caused any obvious problems.
I was wondering what the best way would be to completely start fresh on my Nexus 5 while getting rid of all leftover files.

I cant seem to disable it cuz i cannot neither delete it, lower its volume to 0 nor find a "turn off" option in the "Settings -> Phone -> Speech

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to upgrade the Ovi maps on my E75, because navigation has kept me saying that I need to renew the license. I went to Nokia web site and found out that I need to upgrade Ovi maps in order to get the free navigation. I have a 202.12.01 firmware and I installed it once again when I had unsuccessfully tried to upgrade Ovi maps. I have Ovi maps v3.01 09wk44b01 (MW OpenGL LM MN) and Map version 0.1.24.114 (OpenBitLM 6.22.5). I've deleted all old maps and started to download new ones successfully over Nokia Ovi Suite. I've downloaded Nokia Ovi Suite and followed the instructions for downloading and installing the newest version of Ovi maps application (I suppose it must be newer than the one I have on now, because navigation still wants me to buy license, I guess it must be 3.03 or higher). I've tried it several times from the scratch, just to make sure I did it right. Of course I've also chosen the right E75 phone from the drop down menu and I downloaded the file nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.sis. I double-clicked it and everything seems to be right, but when action on the phone should be required the installation guide says "Nokia E75 does not support sis files". From the sis file name I can only now see that I have this version already installed.Does this mean I can not use navigation for free on E75?

Can anybody come up with a possible solution or have heard rumours of another FW update which will bring this back to normal (other than having to convert all my music to lower bitrate ?)

View 6 Replies View RelatedAI have a router, I have a nokia usb cable. and I have ovi suite. However it wont transfer music files unless I have a memory card inserted, I dont know what to do. I installed ovi files and transfered my custom ringtone that way and it worked but I'm looking for something simpler. Like actually navigating the phones folders and transfering it that way, be it any file, txt doc img, jpg mp3 mp4 ect. I tried using connect as "mass storage device" and connect as "media transfer" neither option works for me. I am running windows 7 professional 64 bit. The only way I was able to get my custom ringtone on the phone was installing and signing up for ovi files. I would like to use my usb cable or router exclusively in the future.
