I just transferred all my data from my Galaxy S6 Edge to my computer via Smart Switch, now how do I view the files? I know where they are, but when I try to open them, I get a message indicating the computer doesn't recognize the file type. What program do I use to view them? Messages are what I'm most concerned with.

I have wanted to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop but when I try to view the photos on my laptop it only shows the thumbnails so you have no way of knowing what the photos are? For example : i try to transfer an application to my device (I put it in Download folder) but when I go to my nexus 5 (Storage ==> Downloads) I can't see the application (like if it is hidden) and the same thing to the rest (document, music, video...) but when I transfer photos over the PTP, there is no problem.
I try to put something in a different folder in the storage of my nexus 5 but i have the same problem (it doesn't appear). I also try to creat another folder and transfer to it but in this case I see what I transfer but I can't click on it or select it.
I've backed up my device and I was planning on copying the old files on to my new model blackberry, but I wont have my new device for a few weeks, and my current model is broke, so I'm stuck with an old Sony Ericson, but I need to view my files to get my contacts and passwords etc, so is it possible to view my files on my computer without attaching my old phone which is broken?

I took a bunch of photos on vacation, went to transfer them to my computer via USB cable, and was dismayed to find they came across as "unknown files". They had the correct name and jpg extension, but I couldn't view the photos.This is only true of photos I have taken since encrypting the device. tried disabling the encryption feature, and doing it again, with the same result.What am I doing wrong? How can I view my own files, while still using encryption? Also, where is the encryption feature documentation located?

My AT&T LG G3 was dropped & the screen is cracked in multiple places. I can't even unlock it now. I'm expecting some important work related (I'm self employed so I really don't need to lose any jobs over this) texts & have heard my text notification go off more than once. I'm wondering if there's a way to view (& possibly respond) to my texts. Or is there an app I can download to my tablet so I could forward my calls & text to it until I'm able to get a replacement.

Carrier is Virgin Media; OS is V4.6.1.314 (platform 4.2.0.135); Desktop Manager Version is 5.0.1.2.8 I have transferred photos, music and some documents from my PC successfully to my BB using Desktop Manager. However some .doc files transfer, but I cannot open them on the BB. I get an error message saying a file cannot be opened as it is an RTF file. I also notice that when I start to transfer the files, the little window that pops up does not give me the option to convert them - it is grayed out. I am trying to sync itunes with the Motoactv using the USB cord. As of right now I can see all of the prepopulated itunes playlists in MotoCast (ie 90s music, recently added) but none of the playlists I have created myself nor does it display the full population of music I currently have in itunes (306 in MotoCast versus 910 in itunes). When I go to sync it says the sync was successful but that 0 files were transferred. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or a different want to get this to sync. I am currently running Window XP, MotoCast Version 1.7.0151.0, and ITunes Version 10.5.3.3.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a droid turbo. When i throw my music into my music folder that appears after plugging my phone into the computer, i cant find it on my phone. I will either put MP3s directly into the "music" folder, or i will create another folder within the music player, name it after the band or album, and then put the mp3s into that newly created folder. Then upon rebooting my phone, the music doesn't appear in the music player application. Though if i do put music into my "downloads" folder i am able to find it, though with this method i am unable to organize the music at all.

I have a C902 mobile phone. I have a video saved on my computer which I have converted to a 3GP file and an MP4 file. I copy and paste the video into the "video" folder on my phone using the USB cable. But then the video does not appear on my phone. What am I doing wrong? I have managed to save the video on my phone now in 3GP format. It shows as a thumbnail, gives the correct length etc. But when I want to play it, it says "playback failed".
