I have a Samsung Galaxy 5, using Virgin Mobile Account. When they set up my phone we used a password I don't remember. Is there any way for me to view my existing password or a utility I can buy to show it.

I have tried both on WiFi and 4G but nothing comes up. A pic is attached for your reference. I have a Galaxy S6 64gb, running 5.0.2.

How do i get the phone to offer both options again also why have i got to be signed in to g mail on the pc for the phone to accept the password?

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes the native HTC Mail app in Sense UI, push gmail? Or any other IMAP connections that support the IDLE command? Or does only the native gmail app push gmail? I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.
so it goes the the screen where it says type in your email and password to unlock. I dont even remember my username or password. Some people saytype "null" but it doesnt work... im willing to restart everything reset this phone?!

A corporete policy gets pushed to my phone and I need to accept it. OK, no problem ... I accept it, but the Lock screen settings ( under Settings -> Location And Security -> Change Lock Screen ) only allows the "Password" option, saying the other options,e.g. the PIN way is remotely disabled by administrator, although that is NOT the case. I've double checked with our system admins on this.Our system admins are NOT forcing the "Password" option ... they're OK with just using the PIN, and I had it like that, in the old 2.3.3 version !For this setup ... this will display the long PASSWORD for lock-screen, instead of just a PIN which is what I prefer to to use instead:

I just transferred all my data from my Galaxy S6 Edge to my computer via Smart Switch, now how do I view the files? I know where they are, but when I try to open them, I get a message indicating the computer doesn't recognize the file type. What program do I use to view them? Messages are what I'm most concerned with.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, we have 2 ATT GS5 phones that have been updated to Lollipop since the software was released. On May 7th, my wife's phone just stopped syncing Gmail. Funny thing is, it syncs all the other google services under accounts (Calendar, Contacts etc...) When you look at Gmail under accounts, where all the google services are, the Sync arrows never go away on the Gmail section. Also, since I cleared all app data, when you go into Gmail for the first time, it just stays at the pulling down email screen.
-I tried clearing Gmail app cache and data buttons, no good.
-Tried the uninstall updates button, rebooted, re-installed updates, no good.
-Rebooting phone and removing batter, no good.
-Tried clearing off all her pictures/videos to make more space (now have 5GB free), no good.
What else is there?
if it is possible to view photos that have been transferred from the phone to a laptop. I have wanted to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop but when I try to view the photos on my laptop it only shows the thumbnails so you have no way of knowing what the photos are? Just wondered if there is a way of fixing this or is the phone just not capable of doing this
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Samsung Galaxy S5 and prefer to use the Gmail Android app, it works fine under wifi conditions but as soon as I switch to "data" connection it just stops. I can get around the problem by switching off the Gmail app alerts and turn on the "default" phone email app and then I get alerts as normal when out and about. As soon as I get back to wifi as soon as I turn off the default email app and turn gmail alerts back on with a few seconds I get the gmail alerts
So something somewhere is stopping gmail from receiving on "data" when I'm away from wifi..This started a few weeks ago, it seems to happen everywhere, including roaming on foreign networks.If I manually search for new mail on Gmail app it picks them up if I swipe down and then I get the mails.
I think I've checked every possible setting there is, cleared all cache uninstalled / re installed, always the same result, even rebooted in recovery mode and cleared cache
For several months now I have been playing the music on my Samsung Galaxy s5 through the stereo speakers on my motorcycle. I turn the volume up all the way on the phone and set the volume on the stereo at about half and I can hear it clearly, even at freeway speeds.
A couple of days ago there was a software update for the phone and now, even with the volume set at maximum on both the phone and stereo, I can't hear anything once I get over about 60 mph.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAlmost every day my phone is very slow to respond, hangs (like Windows XP used to do), the screen won't stay on long enough for me to swipe my security pattern, etc. It's very aggravating and had been for the last two phones (HTC DNA, Samsung S6 Edge) and in very close to jumping ship to either Apple or Microsoft (ugh, I shudder at the thought).
What can I do to find out what is affecting my phone or is this something I can expect from an Android phone on the Verizon network?
I have a Galaxy S5 with Lollipop through AT&T and had Best Buy install my Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I updated the Pioneer firmware, set it up to look for Android Auto on USB2, Android Auto is set to start automatically, and I have the phone and Pioneer connected via Bluetooth. However, when I plug the micro-USB into the phone, all it does is start charging; nothing pops up saying the phone isn't compatible or anything else and I don't get the Android Auto ToS message. When I pull up the AV menu on the Pioneer, neither the USB1 nor USB2 icons are lit up. I've tried plugging the phone in with and without the Android Auto application installed. I double-checked and Best Buy did plug the USB into USB2 using the USB cable from the box. USB Debugging is enabled on the phone.

Nevertheless, I used the Android Sideload Wonder Machine (after many pain staking days of trying to load the JDK & SDK) I finally loaded my surveillance system software and it works. However, the surveillance system also sends emails to my Google account whenever it sense motion in the room. When I access the email, the JPG file is attached, but I can't view it inline. I can only download it to view the picture. Given the email and the JPG attachment are related to security issues, I need a fast way of viewing the JPG file without having to download or use the browser. Both are time consuming efforts

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently received a new samsung galaxy s6 with android 5.1.1 installed on it. first day everything went well no problems whatsoever, second day, i started to bump into some wifi issues which are now really pissing me off!
So the thing is, whenever i turn on wifi, 90% of the time, i can't find any connections. NONE! maybe after 10 minutes of leaving my phone i finally found one, and it isn't even my home connection.. I've been connected to my home wifi. And when i finally am connected the internet is so slow, i'd rather go back to my windows 98 pc and search via internet explorer, make the pc crash 5 times and still load the page faster than my cellphone.

I'm trying to find a program or app that recovers deleted videos on the internal storage of an android device. I've found one that recovers photos only, but no go on video recovery so far. I am unable to root as it is a Verizon S5 and the only available root methods require a destructive root. My cloud service did not have time to upload it before it was deleted, so all I have is a corrupt file. I have Dr.fone, but it stays stuck at 90%. Recuva doesn't recognize the device as a searchable drive.
