My N8 starts charging the battery every time I plug it into the USB port of my laptop, even though the battery is with over 80%/Can I disable charging when it is connected to the USB? ORCan I configure it anywhere so it starts charging only when it is below 20%?
View 2 RepliesI got the battery dock on launch day.this morning I realized the battery issues I've been having are due to the dock not fully charging any of the batteries I have put into it! The dock charges them to 90% most of the time--even if they are in the charger for over 9 hours. I just discovered this problem this morning after removing an extended battery after 9 hours of charge, to find it only at 90%. I had the same issue the first day I bought the extended battery and had to complete the charge inside the phone. I also had been having trouble getting the standard batteries fully charged.
I'm going to exchange it at Verizon this morning, but I'm wondering if a new one will be any better.I use a Battery Indicator widget which shows the voltage--that helps me determine precisely how much charge is in each battery. The battery dock barely gets the batteries charged up to 4.1 volts, and sometimes less.they should be charged more than that, along with showing "100%" on the phone's status, of course.

- Re-installing the Windows Phone app.
- Restarting the phone.
- Restarting the PC.
I am using the offical cable that came with my device.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhenever i see i have a network connection, i have no apps running and the phone is set to only connect when needed. under the connection manager it says its connected to the nokia server and something about xmpp. the nokia chat isn't running and ive deleted it. this didn't seem to be the problem (cannot even re-install it now but that another problem), ovi social is the oter suspect and i cannot delete that at all. i have removed the social networks from it though. i was hoping the anna update would fix the problem but for whatever reason, nokia are preventing me from having it! i cannot wait any longer as my monthly net allowance has nearly gone.

I tried connecting the phone with the usb but because I dont see anything I cannot make the right choice. post a step by step guide which will enable me to connect my phone to the pc suite.

since im not connected to wifi and got no mobile data i always see this message at the top of my screen "Connection Failed: connection unavailable " for every 3 secs or so. i suspect i installed this anti-theft stuff that went hide and i cant see it anywhere anymore. noteven on list of installed applications.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was using Windows XP Pro 32bit until recently and never had any problems connecting tot he internet with my N8. Recently I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I can still connect to the internet without any problems, but the problem I have is that the internet is "slow", although I have a 3.5G connection.
I have watched the "status" of my connection and I can see that what happens is that some data will come through, and then nothing will happen for a while, and then some data will go through again. So it's a kind of intermittent connection. This is super annoying, and it's hard to google this problem.
I also have a Nokia N82 and that doesn't give me the same problem, but i don't want to swap my simcard each time I want to use the internet.
I bought my x6 today, and thought it was a great little phone. I haven't had any of the usb problems that people have, but it just insists on connecting to the internet.I set the phone to receive my emails on a whim and mostly for the novelty, and about 5 minutes after closing it, I noticed it was still connected. I tried exiting it through all the various different menu screens, but it wouldn't go away. Eventually, I deleted the mailbox, but it was still connected. The Browser etc. has no problem - uses WLAN as expected. I can't find anywhere to set the OVI Store access priorities - I assume it's supposed to use Connection Manager?
My phone keeps thinking that there's a headset connected, even though the slot is empty. So now I can no longer hear the person I'm on the phone with. I was wondering if it was possible to get around this by changing some settings so that either -the phone will emit sound through both the 'headset' and the output part where you normally put your ear when phoning. -the phone will ignore the 'headset' altogether and only emit sound the way it would if no headset were inserted.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI've had my N8 for a year and a week.Four days ago when I wanted to turn up my phone it kept loading for several minutes then the hands logo appeared but froze int the middle.After the hands logo froze the phone kept loading again for several minutes then the hands logo appeared again . I tried pressing the power off button for 8 seconds but the phone only turned off,and when I tried to start my phone it did the same. I send it to Nokia Care but they said they couldnt do anything because they probably think there is something wrong with the motherboard. I don't know what to do anymore.
