Nokia Nseries :: Disable The Headset Function For N97?
Nov 8, 2012
My phone keeps thinking that there's a headset connected, even though the slot is empty. So now I can no longer hear the person I'm on the phone with. I was wondering if it was possible to get around this by changing some settings so that either -the phone will emit sound through both the 'headset' and the output part where you normally put your ear when phoning. -the phone will ignore the 'headset' altogether and only emit sound the way it would if no headset were inserted.
i have purchased new C5-03 model of Nokia some days ago and it working fine. But i have faced one problem in headset, when i connect headset to mobile then there is little sounds occur and on screen it says "speak now".I can not understand why this comes and how to disable it?Because of this problem music player coud not play so i can not use radio and can not hear songs from mobile, so please anyone help how to disable it? So i can use headset.
I've got a Nokia X6 from T-Mobile and I am very satisfied - except for one thing:When connecting the phone with a headset, the ringtone and the notification for sms will be played through the loudspeakers. I've solved it by switching the phone automatically into the pager profile when the headset is recognized by the phone but I would prefer it if the usual sound would be played by the headset only so I can differentiate between phone calls and messages without looking on the screen.
I've tried the WH-701 that came with the phone and the AD-54 I use with my own headphones.
Whenever I connect my headset to the phone, it did not detect! I have already plug in properly. This happens a few minutes ago, when I'm turning off the radio. I turned the radio off, but it froze. When I unplug the headset, I'm surprised that my handphone is still playing the radio.
After that, it stops working and this happens.
I already restart, restore and remove the battery. The software is the latest version. However, it worked on my computer, but not my hand phone.
I've a Nokia 5230 since a week. I knew it has no wifi when I bought it. For some use, it would be nice to have wifi function (free hotspot without France per exemple), so I'm looking for solutions on Web. I've found an application "bluetooth-wlan-convert" (!!!) but I can't install it on my 5230 to test it (not compatible). I also have seen a microSD card with wlan function but it seems to work only on Windows CE or Linux based smartphones [URL]. If the price was acceptable, do you think if it could be use on Symbian based phones with an appropriate application ? Do you know other way for having wifi function on phone without wifi ?
if it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?
My headset (WH-701) is no longer recognized by my nokia N8 after I had updated to nokia belle. I first have to put my headset into the 3,5 mm AV connector before being recognized, and even then the headset may stop working after a few minutes. Once the headphone is working I still cannot make use of the (music)buttons on the headset (louder, softer, next, previous, etc.) I am using the headphones every day.
I just bought a new Nokia J headset and I can't pair it with the Nokia N8, the phone simply doesn't find it or any other BT device. My computer can find it all other devices I've tried. The phone works fine with BT devices that were already paired but won't pair new ones. I've tried the new Headset on another phone and no problems, even my computer pairs with it so it's my N8 for sure.
I ride my bike with the N8 used as a navigation aid sometimes. With my bluetooth headset connected, I am able to receive calls and make calls if necessary. However, I am not able to hear the navigational instructions. Is this function available, or I have not set the correct settings, or it needs an upgrade etc?
Any handsfree or headset don't function properly on my phone (9700). I've tried lots of blackberry handsfrees and some other products but the problem still persists.
In call settings there is a call barring function that requires a password? T Mobile say they can do barring at network level if required but do not know what the barring password is that's being asked for on the phone, or could this be an N8 function that is not used in this case. By the way I've tried 0000, 1234, 1919 from other internet searches but no success.
N8 does not support changing a Bluetooth headset's volume via the phone's hardware controls and software buttons: There's no changes in volume until you reach the mute position. All volume control has to be done via the headset's hardware controls. Quite nagging if you e.g. like to decrease the volume of navigation instructions while driving with your headset on: Navigation voice hammers to your ears.
It seems there is some problem with my phone. It can detect my headset perfectly. Headphones are working perfectly fine while listening music, I can even record voice in voice recorded with headset mic. But in a call or message reader, nothing is audible at full volume. Only if I reduce volume by a unit, then it works.
Since I went to ICS, everytime I plug a jack into the headset socket on the phone, it automatically starts the FM radio - how do I disable that auto-function?
I found the SF200 manual and it points to the multi-function button (or MFB) but it does not say what it can do or how to change what it does. I have also searched the knowledge base and the forum. Can someone please point me to any information on how I might change what this button controls? It appears to only control one feature - it is currently set to pause/play and I would like to control forwarding to the next song instead.
My N8 starts charging the battery every time I plug it into the USB port of my laptop, even though the battery is with over 80%/Can I disable charging when it is connected to the USB? ORCan I configure it anywhere so it starts charging only when it is below 20%?
I can't trow anything (only walkman, films, ...) from mobile to smart tv, it says that the tv was have not hdcp,But I try with other devices (like Zte), it works. So, can I disable that function? (HDCP)
I have a 6 month old iphone 4 that seems to go into Voiceover mode by itself ( or at least I cannot figure out what I am doing to make it do that). how to disable this mode permanently. It is really tedious and annoying to have to struggle to turn it off each time it does it.
My phone is Neo V, I have just upgrade to 4.0.2.A.0.62 and found that cannot disable function Haptic feedback (Vibrate when pressing soft keys and on certain UI interactions). This function is fail, when i touch any number to dial or edit message, the phone vibrate, cannot disable it.
My dad has a Nokia 5800 and gets text messages usually with numbers in, but they aren't phone numbers but Symbian just thinks they are so the are red underlined and clickable (so you can easily dial that number). Now my question is: how do you disable this? The numbers are a bit harder to read when they are red underlined and the click feature is totally useless in this situation.
