It seems there is some problem with my phone. It can detect my headset perfectly. Headphones are working perfectly fine while listening music, I can even record voice in voice recorded with headset mic. But in a call or message reader, nothing is audible at full volume. Only if I reduce volume by a unit, then it works.

I have no problem viewing Office Words document. It can be easily moved around by dragging, pinch and zoom etc. But with the default PDF reader, Not responsive to drag. Highly resistance to pinch and zoom.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I connect my headset to the phone, it did not detect! I have already plug in properly. This happens a few minutes ago, when I'm turning off the radio. I turned the radio off, but it froze. When I unplug the headset, I'm surprised that my handphone is still playing the radio.
After that, it stops working and this happens.
I already restart, restore and remove the battery. The software is the latest version. However, it worked on my computer, but not my hand phone.

I was wondering if it was possible to get around this by changing some settings so that either -the phone will emit sound through both the 'headset' and the output part where you normally put your ear when phoning. -the phone will ignore the 'headset' altogether and only emit sound the way it would if no headset were inserted.

My headset (WH-701) is no longer recognized by my nokia N8 after I had updated to nokia belle. I first have to put my headset into the 3,5 mm AV connector before being recognized, and even then the headset may stop working after a few minutes. Once the headphone is working I still cannot make use of the (music)buttons on the headset (louder, softer, next, previous, etc.) I am using the headphones every day.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Nokia J headset and I can't pair it with the Nokia N8, the phone simply doesn't find it or any other BT device. My computer can find it all other devices I've tried. The phone works fine with BT devices that were already paired but won't pair new ones. I've tried the new Headset on another phone and no problems, even my computer pairs with it so it's my N8 for sure.

My phone was running fine on Anna, then last week I had this SW update... Since then my Maps has gone weird. The issue is with Safety Cameras. I use it with alerts activated. But when I approach a camera it has the speed limit for the camera completly wrong so the banner turns red saying I am going 25mph too fast...
Example Im on a 40mph road, Im driving 35mph. A Speed camera comes up and instead of just alerting me it recognises the camera as a speed limit of 15mph, so it warns me Im driving 20mph too fast! This happens on 30 40 50 roads and also motorways...
To try and resolve Ive had my phone plugged in to PC Suite and done a RE-Install of the software but its still the same... I have the latest SW and latest Maps SW too.... I am bambuzzeled *sp as to what this "Anna update" did..
I have been experiencing a funny problem when charging my N97. I bought my phone in August last year. It had been working fine till now and still is. I really have no complaints when it is concerned to performance and usablity. Initial issues were promptly solved with the firmware updates.
Yesterday night, I found out that I had this problem. When I hooked up my phone with my charger, it did not show any light. I tried to use the charger on another mobile(SAMSUNG) which sports the same USB port as my N97 and it worked ! I also used the samsung charger (though its only 700mA) on my N97 and the charging indicator glowed ! To my surprise, the charger adapter pin that ships with the N97 allowing us to charge the phone with older chargers also allowed me to charge my phone. In short, everything charged my phone(including USB) except the provided charger.
Secondly, of lately the headset has become dogdy. Earlier, even if I ran while having hooked up, the connection was good. Now, even if I move the slightest, the phone looses the connection with the headset and the headset icon disappears. Then I need to plug it out and the plug it in again for about 2-3 times to get the icon to reappear. Now if anyone can explain to me why this is happening and the solution to it, I would be really happy.
the headset icon stays even if i remove the headset. I tried to restart and restore my phone but if i plug in the headset again and removed,the head icon stays again.

This problem happen after a few days i upgraded its software ver from v21 to v22. I've tried reinstall back the v22 but still didn't work. I try to reset it to factory setting, but still not working. The phone is fully charged or is charging before I go to sleep. The problem I am having is when I wake up I noticed that I can't make calls. The phone works and is functional, signal is strong or decent, but when I make a call, I can't hear anything. I'm not actually sure if it makes the call or not since I can't hear anything. I'm assuming it doesn't since I don't receive my early morning calls either. I have to restart the phone to get the phone fully functional again. So far it's happened all 3 nights I had the phone.
