Nokia :: 580 - New SD Card - Phone Doesn't Recognise
May 2, 2010I have recently purchased a 16GB Micro SD Card for my Nokia 5800, and I am having problems when trying to put music on.
I noticed that my 8GB SD card is in different folders, and have tried copying them onto the 16GB SD card but the phone doesn't recognise any of it. Is there any specific way to expand my phones memory using an SD card to enable me to add music.

Jul 16, 2012It seems there is some problem with my phone. It can detect my headset perfectly. Headphones are working perfectly fine while listening music, I can even record voice in voice recorded with headset mic. But in a call or message reader, nothing is audible at full volume. Only if I reduce volume by a unit, then it works.

Jul 3, 2010Bought my phone recently. Still trying to sort some issues. I too have the same symbol and if you drag the top nootification browser, it keeps on about inserting an sd card. Great! didn't get one with the phone but......there is a 2gb SD adapter that you should have had with the phone. Says it's standard but...ok...how do you use it? You may have one in the box too. I haven't a clue though used to using flash drives on my computer. This has me flummoxed. I put the adapter in the USB on home computer, recognises it, but it appears nowhere on the PC. I believe you still have to get a separate micro SD card to utilise the adapter!!! So.......why says its a 2gb when itt's clearly not??
Probably not helpful but you should have an adapter but you will still need a proper SD card as there is not one supplied. Stupid really as you can't get updates on it unless you have an SD Card and its greater capacity. Unfortunately, it's the policy of these companies to give you something...and then force you to buy essential extra's to utilise the potential of the phone! Cynical or what!

Jun 21, 2015We have card readers connected to our copiers at work linked to Active Directory. So my ID card is registered to the software and tied to my AD account. Friday by mistake I touched my phone on the photocopiers card reader and it said the card wasnt registered. I input my Active Directory details and registered my phone to the software.
Thing is that when I went to log back into the copier with my phones NFC it said that the card wasnt registered. I registered again and tried to log in again but it said again that the NFC wasnt registered.
I logged into the photocopier management software and see that my ID card is there and 2 other entries that seem to be linked to my phones NFC. Is it normal that NFC changes its ID every time or can I set it to be one ID only.
IPhone :: Getting A SD Card Reader For 4S?
Jun 30, 2012If the iPads can use a micro sd card reader then why can't the iPhone 4S use it? My wife has a PPC G4 PB that has her music that we have for our regular iPod nano we use. Now that we both got the 4S she of course wanted to put her music on to the new phone and get the pics off of her old cell and put them onto her new 4S. The one work around I found to do for the pics was drop box. It's a pain in the rear but it works. Just doesn't work for music. So since iTunes 4.2 and Mac OS 10.4 don't work for the 4S I've been thinking of biting the bullet and just buy a new Mac for my wife. Then I saw the camera kits. Some say 4S OK. But the kit has to be first connected to an iPad then have a usb cable connected to the 4S in order to swap pics. Why can't the kit just hook up to the 4S and then swap the pics to the sd card? Why does it need the iPad for it to do it? If Apple would had allowed 10.6 to use iCloud I could have used my MPB to upload the iTunes library of hers and then have her log in to her account on the 4S.

When asked to connect phone by USB after connected the program recognises my phone but will not let me continue to next stage as it says the device is not in pc suite mode, which it is. Jul 2, 2010Got my Vivaz this Friday and it seems to have a fault with the card reader from factory. My Vivaz won't talk with the supplied 8GB MicroSD card or any other MicroSD card. The phone will notice if there are a card or not in the reader but can't access it, just reporting a faulty card.
Inserting or removing using Vivaz menu commands works and tells whether or not a card is inserted. Have tested three different MicroSDs 2,8 and 16 GB all works with Win7 and a X10 Mini, the Vivaz can't read or write to none. Sadly the Vivaz is useless with just the phone memory.
