I got this problem with my N97 which can't make & receive calls but still can send & receive message. This problem happen after a few days i upgraded its software ver from v21 to v22. I've tried reinstall back the v22 but still didn't work. I try to reset it to factory setting, but still not working. When I try to dail no its say "not allowed". Other function seems good.
View 1 RepliesI really like this phone for first few days I had it, but I'm having problems with making calls and receiving calls when I wake up in the morning. The phone is fully charged or is charging before I go to sleep. The problem I am having is when I wake up I noticed that I can't make calls. The phone works and is functional, signal is strong or decent, but when I make a call, I can't hear anything. I'm not actually sure if it makes the call or not since I can't hear anything. I'm assuming it doesn't since I don't receive my early morning calls either. I have to restart the phone to get the phone fully functional again. So far it's happened all 3 nights I had the phone.

After the update, the phone will not send/receive phone calls/text messages after it has been sitting in locked mode (the screen displays the default clock) after about 30 minutes. Once I have restarted the phone it works properly until it returns to the locked mode. I have performed a factory reset on the device with out any luck.

The only odd thing I can see after doing a Factory Reset is that the Headphones Symbol is constantly ON all the time and I was just wondering if this is normal for this type of phone or is the phone showing a fault.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI cannot make or receive calls and messages on my nokia e52 sometimes. When trying to make a call it shows a small lock in locked position near the green phone symbol. I then restart the phone and it works fine. It only occurs rarely like once in a week or two and you wont know unless you try to make a call or some one calls your land phone and tells that the mobile is switched off. I am using the latest software and has tried the factory reset.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the black version bought in the end of May 2010, and got it repaired recently because of cracked speaker. The repair company also upgraded the firmware from 034.001 to 051.018 (the new firmware 051.018 crash a lot more often specially with music player or if you want to see pictures/movies).
Anyway, In relationship with the repair I also noticed that I could not receive or make any calls. If I try to make a call its all silent the signal strength says its great connection though with the full bars. And if someone tries to call me they hear the default: "the subscriber can not be reached now, please leave a number and end with #".
And if I restart the mobile the phone works as normal again, I can make calls and receive calls. Also SMS will be received now. This happened both with firmware 034.001 and 051.018. I am using 3G net with operator Tango mini/comviq in Sweden (and they dont have any problems with the net, also the restart would suggest the same thing). I would think this is related to too long uptime or the frequent soft reboots/crashes.
I've recently acquired a Lumina 920 with Windows Phone 8. I can pair the phone with the car (or car with phone) just fine. I can also make and receive calls, but the phonebook will not sync with the car. This is a deal breaker for me, as I've had multiple IPhone/Android phones that handle this seemingly common operation without any trouble at all.As an experiment, I paired this phone with another car, and the phone book DOES sync. What I get is a message appears on the phone asking for permission to share contacts This does not happen with my car, however.

There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

I have a blackberry curve 9360, My friend calls my phone and I never get her call, her call goes straight to voice mail and my phone doesnt ring. But we can text each other. The person is on the other end and No "mute has not been hit" the only thing i can think of is a loose wire internally or a software problem?? that does not mean its right, hence I am asking?

I was on the phone with her, and she dropped it. It's a 3G Curve on Verizon I believe. And now when I call her it gives me a fast busy tone. She can text me, but she can't call me.
