Nokia :: No Notification Of New Messages

My phone has only +100 contacts and +3900 messages but whenever a new message arrives there is no notification about it on the screen nor the ringtone is played for the sms.When i format the phone the problem is not there but as i restore my data (contacts and messages) back the same problem contineus but when i restore the same data to any other phone ( including n97 mini ) the problem is not there.Also when i try to restore the backup which i had originally restored in my n97s from n95 8gb ( my previous phone ) the restroing process hangs when it reaches the messages but it works fine in other phones

So, you get a new message, there normally is like a little rectangle, that says ' 1 new messages ' with an envelope, well, I don't get those anymore, Only the little light goes, but there's no notion that I have a new message.

I saw notification area settings while I was surfing via menus when I bought the phone newly. Then I couldn't find it again. I want to put e-mail notificatons into the notification area like missing calls and incoming messages. I remember there was a settings like that.

I am slowly sorting out how a Torch works. I cannot figure out how to have it blink or beep at me when I have voice messages waiting.
Yes I can pick it up and look but an LED blink would help me along.

I have this notification that pops up every time I send a text that say '6 Text messages not sent.' But all of my texts have been sent... I cleared my messages, and it still popped up... It's not really a problem, it's just irritating. how I can make it go away?

locate where I can urn off the notification sound when i send a text message. It is incredibly annoying. I only seem to be able to change the notification of received and sent messages at same time and I do not want this to be on silent as I would like to know when i get a message. I recently upraged to andrid 2.1.

After finally convincing my new Style to sync with my BES service (had to sync with a NEXTEL device twice before the BES server caught a clue), the Desktop mail account chimes with Sanguine Remix when new messages arrive, at the default volume of the selected profile. I've tried changing the playback sound for all obvious notifications in the selected Profile away from Sanguine Remix and the sound played back as Sanguine Remix isn't associated any longer to any of the Profile's options.Any ideas where the sound notification can be changed for the Desktop (BES synched) account? Right now I have to mute all ringers (Silent sound Profile) in order for it not interrupt my sleep. I get hundreds of alerts every day and even with Exchange rules marking messages as read and moving them to a specific folder other than the inbox, BES is catching a small percentage before Exchange marks them as read, and doing what BES does best, forwarding the messages to my phone.
Neither my hotmail nor gmail accounts have this problem since they have an option in profiles and I have configured them to remain quiet.Under Messages-Notifiers for selected Profile:Email: gmailEmail: hotmail Level 1PINtext MessagesVisual voice mail I am going to try Phone Calls Only and edit It to include Text Messages. Maybe that will squelch the BES notices.Sprint Style 9670 6.0 Bundle 1609.

My green blinking LED notification keeps flashing when screen times out but there no messages that I can find on my phone and my battery is fully charged. Could this be a lag issue with my e-mail ISP? It does nto matter if I am using 3G or WiFi. Seems to have just started in last week or so.

I'm new to blackberry. I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday and I am having some trouble with it.
Problem 1:
New messages wont show up, I have to go into general messages and select "View Folder" > "SMS Inbox"
I have it set to combined simply because I just want all my messages in the main message folder but whenever a new message comes in I have to go into the SMS inbox folder.
Problem 2:
I'm having the same trouble with my email, I keep getting the notification come up for a new email but it is no-where to be found.
Problem 3:
I've set my blackberry to the Vibrate profile, the only time it seems to vibrate is when I get a new facebook notification and thats it.

I just purchased a Droid Razr M and can not find out how to set the notification alert for messages and missed calls. I want to set the alert and have it remind me every two minutes of so that I have new messages and or missed calls. This is how my old phones used to work... I would get an audible alert every 2 minutes until I viewed the messge, etc.

I had a RAZR that failed and I replaced it with something else. (don't ask) Now I want to consider a Droid 4, but I can't remember if the RAZR had a notification LED for missed calls & messages but the real question is does the Droid 4 have a notification LED? This is important to me, as I need to keep my phone on silent a lot of the time, and the flashing LED is about the only way I know if I've missed a call (without waking the screen.)

I'm using nokia 5800 model. In that two messages got failed while sending and stored in Outbox. I tried to delete those two messages. But the status of those two msgs has been changed to 'Deferred' and are not getting deleted. I restarted the mobile, but again its there in the Outbox. I tried PC Suite to delete those messages. But those messages are not getting listed in the PC Suite. Kindly Suggest some solution for this problem
