I saw notification area settings while I was surfing via menus when I bought the phone newly. Then I couldn't find it again. I want to put e-mail notificatons into the notification area like missing calls and incoming messages. I remember there was a settings like that.
View 9 RepliesI seem to have lost the voice mail box notifications that should appear in the bottom right hand corner of the notification area.
How do I reset this so it is displayed again. I am using an E52 with 54.003 installed.
Recently I was prompt to update my OS6 6.0.0.448 to 6 bundle 2475 when I did so my notification area on the device like mess up in mail section, if I have a lot of mail the mail section will show black color title instead of white and some times overlapping.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis problem has gone on far too seriously by half I am sure. And, I have a slip-noose hanging in the basement..On or around Easter (perhaps when 4.1.83 came out?) I became subtly aware I was missing incoming calls. (People would get two rings, then my voice mail, but I would get NO indication of a missed call). At first I figured it was just a dead spot issue. But as it became more pronounced--I started getting death threats from close friends--I began to suspect a problem.After hour upon hour of time spent with AT&T support, I have figured out what the issue is, just not what the cause is. When my phone shows a data transfer, I miss calls. Here are the facts:1. The problem persists on the "E" or 2G network, which is native to my locale.2. It mainly manifests itself between approximately 0700 CST and 1600 CST; during these hours I see the data arrows, after that, the go away.3. During this time frame, the Atrix shows an "E" and an up/down arrow that is almost continuously black or active.4. Moving into an "H+" or 3G area resolves the issue.
5. On WIFI, the issue does not manifest.6. During this constant data transfer, the phone heats up and battery life is shortened.. I am pretty sure the phone did not do this when I purchased it in February.8. AT&T Tech Support is flummoxed. So much so, they say they cannot understand what could cause this.9. Engineers have been assigned to the issue.10. I can place calls with impunity.AT&T sent me a new phone, and stock out of the box, it did the same thing. At first, they thought perhaps some after market app was causing a constant data transfer, and the phone was (incorrectly) failing to cut that data stream when a call came in. But even after numerous factory resets--and no added apps--the new phone did the same thing.
After tech support assigned my issue to the engineers (he speculated a switching issue was causing the trouble, outside of the device itself?) I've had about two days of better service. Now, if I am, say, downloading an app, I miss calls. Or, if I update a weather RADAR app, I miss calls. And it seems that, sometimes at least, after something downloads, the phone shows a continued data UP/DOWN indication. But if I switch to airplane mode for a sec, then back, the data transfer stops and I can get calls.I have yet to hear back on my trouble ticket, but wanted to post this hear to see if anyone else is having an issue receiving calls during data loading. It sure seems like it began around Easter. I wonder if the 4.1.83 update could have caused it?

It looks like some sort of sundial (the clock replacement we used when we did not have clocks) with a red star and 1 written before it. Tried every app, message, etc. etc. but to no avail. I would upload the picture (I have munched the screen using an app), were it not for my knowledge of how to upload pictures on.
wheres google chrome tabs?? and look at the picture below why is there a black line on the notification area is this normal???

I want to set the alert and have it remind me every two minutes of so that I have new messages and or missed calls. This is how my old phones used to work... I would get an audible alert every 2 minutes until I viewed the messge, etc.

(don't ask) Now I want to consider a Droid 4, but I can't remember if the RAZR had a notification LED for missed calls & messages but the real question is does the Droid 4 have a notification LED? This is important to me, as I need to keep my phone on silent a lot of the time, and the flashing LED is about the only way I know if I've missed a call (without waking the screen.)

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a Galaxy S6 Edge a couple of weeks ago. Everything was as it should be until a few days ago. The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.

Lately (last week or 2) I get the new message icon displayed, but when I open my messages folder the red asterick goes away but the envolpe icon still is there and the count goes up. Currently it says 4 but I do not have any unread emails, nor any unread facebook messages. The only way to 'reset' this is a battrr pull. But then it starts generating again. I just updated 4.6.1.319 hoping this would help but sstill the same problems. If any other info is needed please let me know.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden today my notification bar... or rather that top portion of the touch screen has gone mad.When Im on a vertical screen... the notification keeps trying to pull down.When it is a horizontal screen, whatever icon, or keys if its the full screen keyboard, just start typing away like crazy.I had it on landscape texting onscreen..... it typed out wqasdddddwwedaaad. So it must be something "stuck" on that portion of the touch screen.How do I fix this.I dont have any new installed apps in the past week. I had very few issues when I got the gingerbread update, and they all smoothed out. The only thing recent was 5 days ago I changed from a 8gb microsd to a 16gb, but I doubt that would have any impact on touch screen function.
