Nokia :: E63 - GPRS Activated / Incoming Mail Server Not Found
Jan 15, 2010
I am using Nokia E63 and whenever I am trying to connect my phone with email. I get a error message saying incoming mail server not found. Check mail box settings. I am using tata docomo prepaid card and have GPRS activated on my account.
Your iPhone is not activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. try connecting your iphone to iTunes to activate it. or try again in a couple of time .Â
By default in my IMAP mailbox I can only see 4 folders- Inbox,Drafts,Sent Items,Outbox. To see other folders I need to click on More Folders and select the folder to view. Is there a way I can swap one of the above prelisted folder with 'Sent' or any other server folder of my choice? Also when I send any email using phone, a copy of the email is stored in the 'Sent Items' folder. But I would like the copy in the 'Sent' folder of my mailserver so that I can see the email even when I access my email using my laptop. Is this possible ?
today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.
A few days back I tried to retrieve attachments to emails on my BB Torch and received the message "Attachment Server Not Found" and could not get the attachments.
I have a Nokia E72 and I'm using the built in Messaging service (url...) to retrieve email via IMAP from a Dreamhost-hosted email account. Receiving works perfectly, and I'm very happy with the service.Whenever I try to send email, the mail is 'sent' on my phone, but I get a delivery status notification (failure) email.
It contains the following error:500: Failure - sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
This is a constent problem. If I close out and restart safari it will work just fine. Even if I select a different bookmark it goes right to the page but if I stay on that page too long while browsing I will get the message again and then I have to quite or go to a different page and come back in order to get past Safari cannot find server.
I can't believe it. With PC Suite I my N900 will sync all 1500 of my contacts. I just deleted my contacts on my phone and got Mail for Exchange to work...it brought only 512 contacts across from my server. I hope that the others are not now marked as deleted on my phone and will be removed from the server on the next sync.
I am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware. I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails. When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP). Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.
I am having problems connecting to my yahoo mail account from my phone. when i try, i keep getting the message that i should check username and password as email server has refused access. even when i try my other yahoo email account, i get the same results
I have a POP3 server that I use with my BB and with Outlook. Messages I read with the BB get left on the server and I get them with outlook just fine. However, just in the last couple of weeks, messages I SEND from the BB also get left in the sent-mail folder on my mail server, which has been causing my mailbox to fill up if I don't log in every couple of days and delete them. How do I turn that off. I see no option either in the Messages application or in the Email Setup Wizard that controls sent mail.
I saw notification area settings while I was surfing via menus when I bought the phone newly. Then I couldn't find it again. I want to put e-mail notificatons into the notification area like missing calls and incoming messages. I remember there was a settings like that.
i have tried to configure an imap ssl mail account on port 993 which has a self signed certificate. After entering the server and user settings etc, the connection test just ends without any message, showing the server settings page again. To my opinion a popup should appear instead, asking if I would like to accept the certificate. But as there is no chance to proceed to the next config page it is currently not possible to configure such a mail account. Several other users in german android forums are complaining this as well. Because the same server and settings perfectly work with my older HTC hero I assume that this must be a bug in the new htc mail app.
I have an AT&T Bold 9000 that I just updated. The OS (system software) is now version 5.0.0.822. Since upgrading, several things are working better than they have in a long while. However, I can't find my visual voicemail. Am I overlooking it, is it unsupported, or is there something I need to install or change to bring it back?
I have reasonable, but limited, BB exposure over a number of years, but always in a simple email scenario (typically one handset, accessing a single POP3 account). However, for reasons that I will skip over at this point in time for simplicity, we now need to set up a 9300 (on BT, here in the UK) to be able receive from one (POP3) server, but send out via another (SMTP).Unfortunately, however, the BT web interface (BIS ?) only allows one address for "server".
Using 5.02 and the email client only syncs when I update the time period or incoming server settings. I have two other accounts, one pop and one exchange, that work without issue. This imap account won't sync. If I delete and reinstall it works for a while and then the problem comes up again.
I have my own mail server. When my iPhone is on the local WiFi, it can log in and read mail. When it is on the 3G connection, it gets the message 'The mail server "intellexcorp.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in the Mail settings.' The setttings are unchanged. There is no firewall on the server computer. I can't see why the same settings would have a problem connecting. No other services, including mail and remote access have a problem accessing this computer by name or by IP.
The mail setup wizard seems to work OK - but only when a SIM card is in place - and never asks for details of outbound servers.Hunting about I have not managed to find anywhere that you can do this.Anyone have an idea how you can access and modify the outbound server (as you can on .N97).I owuld be disgusted to think that Nokia are complicit in forcing us to use the network provider's mail servers - in other words focing you to pay roaming data charges if not in your home country!
Upgraded my BB to a 9900 recently and I can't get one of my email addresses working for outgoing mail (incoming works fine). On past BBs I've had this email account working great, but I had to specify separate incoming and outgoing mail servers, including the ports. On my 9900 I can only specify one mail server. how to change the email settings to allow for different incoming and outgoing mail servers?... Enterprise email and gmail works like a charm.
I have set up my X10 to download emails, which it does successfully, however it deletes them of my service provider's mail server so that they don't come through to my PC any more. I have selected both options on the X10 in "Delete email from server" ie "Never" and "When I delete from Inbox", but each has the same result.
Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I've deleted and re-added my exchange account, done a hard reboot and even reset my network settings. I had already had my exchange account up and running for a couple of weeks when one morning I woke up to that message. Since then I can't get back in.
about 6 months ago my mother in law purchased an Iphone. I set up her email for her using a pop 3. At the time I could not get the godaddy outgoing email server to work so I used my local ISP provied outgoing smtp server with my user name and password.
Now my mother in law moved to a different sate and she got a new iphone but my outgoing mail server still shows up as the primary outgoing mail server so she still needs my user name and password.
Also on my iphone I noticed there are 8 "other smtp servers" in addition to the primary. I want to delete them all.
AT&T Outgoing Server cwmx.com is not working for me at all any more. Around June 7th, it just stopped working. I keep getting the, "No server response". I have an iPhone 4G, OS5.1.1 I deleted the cwmx.com outgoing server and readded which did not help. I deleted the "pop" email accounts and readded them which did not help. I reset the network settings; the factory settings; then restored the phone back to a date previous to the problem. None helped.
I have been getting the following error on my iPhone the last couple of days when accessing one of my two Yahoo mail accounts using the mail client-Â "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."Â
If I restart my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.1) the error goes away temporarily and mail is received, but the error eventually returns. The error only occurs with one of my two associated Yahoo mail accounts, the other Yahoo account works fine.Â
I have reset my password multiple times, and input the special password for my iphone (4s model). I cannot access any of my yahoo email accounts. I have tried deleting accounts and adding them again and this didn't work either.
