I am slowly sorting out how a Torch works. I cannot figure out how to have it blink or beep at me when I have voice messages waiting.
Yes I can pick it up and look but an LED blink would help me along.
Blackberry Torch 9810, OS version: 7.1.0.267, BBM v 7.0.0.126 has been having the voice note issues since i upgraded to the torch 9810 from my bold 9700. I can receive voice notes but must close bbm to listen to them,, and when I got to record a voice note ,i cannot stop it from recording, and it will not send.

in most of my prev. phones i used to know if the person am calling on a waiting call and this has stopped since i got the blackberry been lookin for third party software to enable it and been surfing the web looking for solution for this issue?
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust switched to a HTC One dual sim 802d from iphone 5 a few weeks back. One issue I'm facing with the One is the call waiting notification beep volume level is too low. Most of the times, when I'm on a call and if someone else calls my no. I don't even come to know that call waiting was activated as the notification beep volume is just plain too low.
Its okay on speakerphone mode, but when I have the set next to my ear, I just can't hear that beep. Never had the issue with iphone 5 or my earlier Nokia's before the HTC one, on most of these the call waiting beep would be too darn loud and annoying, now its just way to low. Spoke to HTC Tech Support and the guy asked to me increase the Ring volume to max and see if that works, but that too made no difference.
Just updated to Android 4.4.2 a few days back and Sense 5.5
The notification light keeps blinking even after i've viewed/read new messages.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've a bold 9700. I am in Australia with Vodafone Australia bb data plan. I have been experiencing difficulties with the BBM applcation and have to admit I'm both frustrated and dissapointed.
After wiping out my BB for security reasons, I installed a recent copy of BBM application v.57 however I have encountered problems after problems.
I have been trying to add my contacts back but this operation has been unsuccessful (both way. Ie: them inviting me and me inviting them). All the time, I got the same message PENDING (Waiting for authorization) and nothing more (with overseas contacts in India, France, ect...).
With a couple of overseas contacts, they have been added but communication is simply impossible (undelivered messages). I have noticed that all my australian contacts have been added fine and communication works fine but none of the overseas ones work.
I have requested several times from my operator to check the service (which is fine) and send me service books which got delivered fine. I can send email via BB, I can PIN people, I can browse internet but cannot communicate via BBM.
I have tried adding people by PIN and email address but no success either. I have also tried downgrading my bBm to version 4.7 but no better.
I'm extremely frustrated with the situation and would appreciate your help in that matter. Can you please investigate further so I can have full usage of my BB (which is why I got one in the first place)
I used to receive notification when I am calling someone who is on another active call. It would either be a long beep after the regular ring or it would actually say "call waiting" on my phone. My Blackberry is 9300..

Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems.Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call.Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances.This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEven if my phone has been lying unused on the charger, if I want to start using it I get the "hourglass" sign that shows the phone is busy downloading something. I don't understand this as it happens even if I want to look up a contact. I can't dial or open a message or anything for up to two minutes while I wait for the phone to finish whaterver it is doing. It also drains the battery as I only get a half day's life out of the battery, even if I only used the phone minimally.

When I get a voicemail, a simple, white icon (a single line with a small circle at each end) appears in the top left of my screen, where the email & text notification icons also appear. In the past, once I check my voicemails, the icon goes away. But this time it has not. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a the T-Mobile version of the 5230 (the Nuron). I assumed that the notification light would flash after someone left a voice mail. T-Mobile Customer Service claims the Nuron does not do this. Under the Settings-Phone-Notification Lights-Notification Light-Events Notified screen, there are 3 options that can be checked: Missed Call, New Message, New E-Mail. I had hoped "New Message" included voice messages as well as text messages, but I guess not.
This means that I would have to turn on the screen to check for voice mails if I stepped away from my phone. (Note: I do get a flashing notification light for missed calls and texts. However, the missed call flashes stop as soon as the "new voice mail" message appears on the screen.) I've tried a soft reset with no improvement.

I do not have visual voice mail -- this is just plain ol' voicemail. I don't get texts notifying me of VM, either, but I'm not sure I'm set up to receive text notifications, so I'm less concerned about that.
I've been notified before that there is a new voicemail for me, and after that there was a little icon up near the email and text message icons until I listened to it. I am using a Verizon Galaxy S6 and have been using Google Voice for voicemails. Recently, I discovered that sometimes my voicemails come through several hours after the call. This does not happen all of the time, but it does happen some. It is also pretty inconvenient. I do not want to go into the app and press refresh after missing a call, just to see if I have a voicemail. I did not have this issue with my Galaxy S3 or Moto X. Also, I have the sync, notification, etc settings all good to go.

I seem to have lost the voice mail box notifications that should appear in the bottom right hand corner of the notification area.
How do I reset this so it is displayed again. I am using an E52 with 54.003 installed.
I am no longer getting a "Voice Mail" notification in my message list. I get the VM icon at the top of the screen but it's so small sometimes I don't notice it. Is this an OS 5.0 issue? Is there a setting I need to change? I searched the forums and also the ? on the device.
