Nokia :: N97 V20 Upgraded Screen Doesn't Get Pass Logo
Jan 9, 2010i just updated my handset from v11 to v20 but now, my handset does not switch/log on. i can power it up but the screen doesn't get pass the 'Nokia' logo. Not too sure what to do now.

Jan 22, 2010I installed lifetime free ovi maps on to N97 via computer and it worked initially. Then all of a sudden everything went black and phone restarted itself and since then it is stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.I have taken out battery umpteen times and everytime it is stuck. Won't go beyond this point.

Apr 24, 2010I use nokia 5230. after I updated from 12.0.089 to 20.0.005. I feel better on dragging menu icon, faster and wider screen web browser, more stable music player. but I found some bugs that:
1. When I opened web browser for 3-4 pages with music player and then went to menu(all programs still opened) screen still show contact bar and menu's icons didn't showed.
2. Programs installer are much time freezes if open after downloaded from web browser immediately.
3. Sometime menu icons don't responded espectially specially the Application icon and Log icon
4. Phone lock slide bar sometime vibrate agaist the slide but sometime not.

Oct 28, 2012my mobile was working perfectly fine until I turned it off.And as soon as I turned it off, it got stuck on dim NOKIA logo screen. It vibrates when I slide the side switch. And also when I press the Menu button the Lock screen comes, but when I press the Unlock tab it goes back to NOKIA logo But doesnt do anything else... I really don't want to loose any data... If I wait until it runs out of battery (as the battery was also low, probablly 20-30% left) and then I plug the charger will it start working? I want to keep the hard reset as a very very last option...

Dec 1, 2011I have recently gotten a BlackBerry Curve 9300, about 2 months ago.I haven't really had any problems like this before, except once. My BlackBerry turned off while I was using it, and when I turned it back on it would load and then stop.So I pulled out the battery, and put it back in.When I turned it on it loaded, and was fine after that.However, just now, again while I was on it it randomly shut off..I figured it would be like the last time, so I pulled the battery out, and put it back in.When the loading screen came up, it loaded a little past half way, stopped, and then shut off again.I hadn't taken out the battery just yet, but it started to turn on again, so I figured I'd just let it load again, sadly, it did the exact same thing;Loaded a bit past halfway, and resumed the cycle.I thought if I let it do that a couple times it would eventually load through.It did not.So I pulled out the battery, put it back in, but it still has been continuing the same pattern, and won't go past the loading screen.I tried plugging it into the computer, which did not work.I also tried booting it in safe mode, which also did not work.I waited for the LED light to go out, and held the Escape key, while it loaded, but no dialog appeared.So I assume the safe mode is not working either.I've tried just about eveything, I even took the sim card out and left the battery out for a bit.

Oct 28, 2011I got the official 2.3.4 upgrade from the PC companion and am very happy with it. Part of the changes seems to be that I get new message notifications in the middle of my lock screen (meaning I press the power button and my screen goes from blank to the lock screen, and in the middle of that is a notification that says I have "New messages:1" with a envelope icon beside it. I've checked sms, email, whatsapp, skype, handcent, etc etc and I cant find any messages that are new. The notification bar is empty. I've also tried sending myself a message to see if it will clear, but it wont. I'd previously cancelled voice mail on the carrier side too.

Apr 22, 2010I just upgraded to 5.0xxx via BB DM and ran into this issue.Screen goes blank as per backlight timeout setting but it never comes up, however you push the screen, press the lock button. No display :-(. The phone is still on and I can see the buttons at bottom lit up and I can even receive calls but no display on the main screen. Have to battery-pull to make the screen work.Whats wrong?? I have tried adjusting Backlight Timeout settings, rebooting without media card, but to no avail. The problem is only with upgrade 5.0. I downgrade it to 4.7 and it works fine.
