Jan 22, 2010I installed lifetime free ovi maps on to N97 via computer and it worked initially. Then all of a sudden everything went black and phone restarted itself and since then it is stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.I have taken out battery umpteen times and everytime it is stuck. Feb 3, 2011I've had my 8900 for two years. I really love the phone, but around the beginning of December 2010, it started doing something funky. It seems that when I am either talking on the phone for a long period of time (around 15 minutes or so) or in the middle of a movie or while taking a video, the phone will go to a plain white screen, and it is impossible to turn it off or have any other interaction. In short, it freezes on that white screen. At other times, it will power itself off, and it also appears frozen, with no possible interaction. In either case, when I remove the battery for a few minutes and replace it, sometimes it comes back on, and other times I have to plug it into a charger, whether it's a USB cable or AC charger. In any case, I may have started with a full battery, but after this, the battery now only shows three and a half of five battery blocks. This is not limited to the OS, since it happened with the original OS back in December (4.6) and continues to occur now that I have upgraded to OS 5. It seems to be hardware related.

Nov 2, 2010My N8 displays a rapidly changing numbers in the top right hand corner of the screen when in portrait mode and in the center of the screen when held in landscape. The numbers change all the time and are in the format xx.x, e.g. 24.2, 16.6 and so on.
When I first noticed it I did a hard reset using *#7370# which made it go away, but it returned next time my phone restarted after it upgraded an ovi twitter app.

Galaxy S5 :: Yellow And Blue Tint On White Screen?
Mar 6, 2015I got a replacement galaxy s5 on Jan 28 and I've noticed the screen has a yellow and blue tint during white backgrounds. If i look straight at the screen, the white has some yellow tint over the mid to top portion of the screen. However, if I move the phone up, the yellow moves down the screen and a blue tint appears on the top to mid part of the screen. The tint isn't heavy as I can see still get good colors out of things.
Is this normal for the s5 screen? My old phone had a yellow tint to the white as well, but I don't know if the tint changed from yellow to blue when I moved the phone up and down.

Apr 9, 2010There seems to be a problem with my blackberry or my blackberry's screen.
Sometimes when I click any of the buttons to wake up my screen to check if I have messages/make a call or what have you...
1. The screen is black white and stays that way for a few seconds before reverting to the normal screen.
2. The screen is covered in static similar to a television except it isn't moving, and the pixels are red, yellow and blue. This either fixes itself after I unlock the phone, or it only fixes the part of the screen where the box that says "keypad is locked" is usually located, and then goes back to normal once I press another button. This happens sometimes even if the phone isn't locked, and if I have a text message open I can roll the type cursor back and forth and that part of the screen will be fixed again.
3. The screen is white, but the red/blue/yellow pixels wash across the screen from left to right, and once I press a button it fixes itself.
It's a Blackberry Bold 9000, only one year and one month old, and at&t is my provider. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but the problem seems to have started around the time I put a memory card in it.
I have tried taking the battery out of the phone and putting it back in. Nothing changes.

Feb 11, 2010My mum only gave me this phone 2days ago as she got a new one. She's never had a problem with it and has kept it in a hard case so still looks brand new. I always have a habit of breaking or losing phones, this is 3rd one in 4 months. Anyway I picked my phone up and it was switched off but I presumed it was dead as I had left my music playing. I put it on charge only for 10 minutes but I never tried switchig it on as I forgot to take it out with me. I put it on charge again last nite but it won't turn on this morning. The screen comes up white with the battery sign on the right which stops after a minute as I assume its fully charged now. Its not the charger as my bf uses it for his and the phone does seem to be charging. The on button can't be broken as when I press it the white background comes back on. I've tried the hard reset wth the 3 * and green button but nothing.

Jan 10, 2010I have received this week my new N900. Everything superb until last Friday when I was in my car listening music through the A2DP profile (stereo bluetooth), received a call, was using also 3G and all this meanwhile the N900 was plugged to the car charger (borrowed from a N97). That was quite usual with my HTC Diamond. But suddenly when I left the car the N900 bricked, so I restarted but since then the only thing I could see is the NOKIA logo with the white wallpaper.
Later at home i tried to remove the battery, put it back again, plugged to the adapter and i could see a small usb logo on the right top corner. Then I followed the guides found here to flash und update the firmware (flasher-3.5 and so on, with my windows 7 pc). First I reinstalled the latest firmware file (.bin) and it seems to be OK, with no error comand. Then I rebooted the N900 but the result was the same, it stopped 30-40 segs later and switch off. I though it was also necessary to do the eMMC, so i repeated following the new steps, but in this case i found these messages from the flasher:
-USB not found
-USB raw data transfer EP found at EP2
-SU_GET_UPDATE_STATUS_REQ terrminated with error code 1.
I have no idea what do they mean but the case is that now I can see no usb logo on the top when I plug the usb adapter (either USB or AC), so it is now impossible to comunicate with the pc. I have tried again to remove the battery, even in a Nokia center with another battery from the 8500 which i didn't know was the same, but no result. The most strangest thing is that the N900 refuses to be charged as once it is plugged to the AC, a yellow light appears and on the screen I can only see the nokia logo on a dark backlight (as I said, with no usb logo now), but 30 segs later it is continously switching off.
I am already mentally prepared to ask Nokia for a replacement, but I still resist to accept there is no solution to revive this little but complex device.

May 6, 2012my daughters iphone has stopped working and has a usb and itunes displayed on phone, and when i plug it in to laptop it says it has to be restored so i did this 4 times but keep getting the error 1002 come up,i have clicked around itunes for help but just end up going around in circles as it gives no advise as to what to do. the phone is a 3gs and is a reconditioned phone it has worked ok for a month but now has this problem and wont work at all.
