I've just bought my brand new N97 yesterday but it has a TV-out problem: when I plug it into TV through CA75U the phone indicates that I plugged a headphones not A TV-Out cable and no video or audio on the TV appears cause I really need this function.

View 2 Replies View Relatediphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. It started one morning after charging all night.

I can plug it in but it doesn't seem to recognize the plug...I've tried a couple of them now...no charging, no data transfer. I think the receptacle must be broken in the iPhone itself. It worked a couple of times after I started having the problem but doesn't seem to work at all now...my phone is slowly losing its charge so I need to do something today - because I can't be without a working phone.

I've been looking at buying one because i hate not being able to transfer pictures etc over to the computer easily.But i cannot find where the cable is meant to plug into my phone ? Only the micro sd card is the only place. Or do i need to get a card reader for the micro sd card?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that suddenly (since yesterday) when I open the Ovi Maps site (http://maps.ovi.com/) I don't see the map surface anymore, I just see a white surface!!! Everything else is in place. I can zoom in and out of this white surface I can even change to 3D and the blue sky on top appears but no map. Needless to say the same goes for satelite or any other option. No map appears. If I reload the page the map appears for a second and disappears immediately. When I deactivate the ovi maps plug-in (4.0.12.12), the map reappears and stays. I even tried to unistall it and reinstall it but the same thing happens, NO map visible. When I reinstalled it, it said that the plug-in is not compatible with firefox 3.6.3. The strange thing is that I didn't updated my firefox since yesterday, it just started to happen suddenly. I couldn't find anything like that elsewhere on the web so this place is my last hope. Has anyone had a similar experience or even better a possible solution? By the way I have windows 7 but I can't imagine a reason for this being relevant since it work just fine until yesterday.

I bought one, but it will only let me hear sound from one channel. I can manage it by adjusting the headphones so that they don't go all the way into the adapter, but all that does is to let me listen to the sound on that channel in both earbuds. Also, the sound sometimes cuts out in that mode.
I've done some research, and it looks like Nokia offer two adapters - the Nokia AD-61 and the Nokia HDA-11. Can anyone tell me if either of these will work for the E51 (i.e. have they tried it and found it worked)?
While adding a WPA/WPA2 access point and trying to setting the EAP-TTLS plugin, the setup window suddenly closes without saving the settings. It is impossible to connect a WPA/WPA2 wireless network that uses EAP-TTLS plugin for authentication/cryptation. All other plugins work fine. The current software version is 40.0.005 (40.0.005.C01.01) - 29-12-2009. It is worth noticing that with the previous sw version (I don't remember the number, maybe something like 31...), all worked well. Once I updated the sw, my WPA access point ceased to work, and I found out the problem.
View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Lumia 920, I've inserted a small plastic headphone jack charm (like this one) and noticed that the audio from the ear piece no longer outputs audio. I'm guessing that the phone thinks a headphone is attached and sends the audio to the headphone, even though the headphone plug of the charm is made of plastic.
This is a little bit annoying since this charm seems to work fine on other phones, including my previous Samsung Focus WP7 device.
Couldn't the hardware be a little smarter to detect if a plastic plug is inserted rather than a metal one? Is there any setting to configure the phone to output audio through the ear speaker even when the jack is being used?
I have been trying to transfer some music from iTunes playlists to my Nokia E6 using the Nokia Multimedia Transfer app. First time I ever used it there was no problems, but lately it continually freezes up my mac when transferring. I am using Snow Leopard (latest version) and the plug in is the latest from the Nokia Ovi site.

Originally i thought this was a faulty handset. View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a HTC One. When I plug it into my laptop to charge, it does silent. The profile is normal and I've picked a nice loud ringtone to make sure I hear it (Dare from the Transformers 1986 Soundtrack).
I'm no more than a few feet from it and no matter how loud I set the ringer, it just won't let me know when a call is coming through besides a tiny little vibration.
How do you set it so that it's as loud charging off the laptop as it is when it;s in your pocket?

I had my ear buds ripped out of my phone recently by a jumping dog. Since then, the jack will not "seat" as securely as it used to. Also the start/stop/microphone that is in the earbud cord does not work at all. The jack seems that it is alnost all the way in, but won't seat all the way in. I'm sure that it can be fixed, but have looked inside the jack and do not see any debris inside that would impede the jack. Maybe the jack was damaged by the quick removal, but I cannot be without the phone for the time for Apple to fix it or Squaretrade (warranty) to replace it.

My phone will not connect to my pc when trying to update using sony ericsson pc companion.I have been unable to update it with the last two updates and in my desperation last night to make my phone work I have backed up using my backup after reading that the sony ericsson backup app won't work after the update, and then restored factory settings. It hasn't fixed it. It still won't work.
I should also add that I have tried this on 3 computers and they have all said the usb device is not recognized. It is clearly my phone. It has very recently been having problems charging in all chargers however this problem has been going on for a lot longer!This is driving me insane. Before this I loved my phone, despite the many faults!!

What I would prefer is what I had on my old phone, the G-mail "envelope" icon so that when I read my gmail (where all my e-mail goes) inbox I have all the features (star, label, etc.).
To accomplish this, should I remove the plug in via DM and then download the G-mail app from the web?
So i bought a curve 8530.I had a curve 8330 until i dropped it into the toilet. anyhow so i plugged my new phone that i bought yesterday into my NETBOOK vis the USB cord and it turned my phone off... and it had the red LED on and the phone would NOT turn on until i unplugged it.So i tried it on my desktop computer and VOILA! Worked but not on my netbook (I need it to work on my netbook for tethering)
