I have been trying to transfer some music from iTunes playlists to my Nokia E6 using the Nokia Multimedia Transfer app. First time I ever used it there was no problems, but lately it continually freezes up my mac when transferring. I am using Snow Leopard (latest version) and the plug in is the latest from the Nokia Ovi site.

Could you please try the steps below and check if it works.-Open HDD-Library-Application Support-Find and Delete the entire Nokia Multimedia Transfer folder.-Then navigate to users-Library-Application Support -Nokia Multimedia Transfer (delete) -Applications-Nokia Multimedia Tranfer-Control Click-Show package contents.-Delete the entire contents folder.-Make sure the trash is empty.-Download and install NMT again from [URL] Now connect the device-Go to NMT> Tools and Settings > Check for updates now-Restart Mac-Connec the device via USB and check.Hopefully this works?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy newly-bought 5800XM refuses to play nice with my Macbook Air (OSX 10.6.3). ISync works fine. However, Nokia Multimedia Transfer does not work at all. When I connect the phone to my Mac, NMT 1.4.2 does not see/detect the phone's presence. If I switch the phone to another connection form, e.g. mass storage, then I get a warning that my 5800xm is connected in a way that is incompatible with NMT. Needless to say, the same problem happens with Map loader.
I have upgraded the 5800's firmware to the latest version. I have turned off and rebooted the phone and my computer countless times. The only thing that I have noticed that might not be right (don't know for sure) is the fact that the only profiles in the /Library/Application Support/Nokia Multimedia Transfer/Profiles folder are those of the C5, X3 and X6 phones.
The multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?
I've searched but to no avail, how do I transfer a multimedia attachment (photo) on an SMS inbox message, to my photo album on my phone (X7).

iphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. It started one morning after charging all night.

I can plug it in but it doesn't seem to recognize the plug...I've tried a couple of them now...no charging, no data transfer. I think the receptacle must be broken in the iPhone itself. It worked a couple of times after I started having the problem but doesn't seem to work at all now...my phone is slowly losing its charge so I need to do something today - because I can't be without a working phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Nokia E72 around 4-6 months ago and I love it as a phone. It does everything I need it to.
The problem I have is that it doesnt receive incoming calls 100% of the time or let me do outgoing 100% of the time. It randomly hangs or crashes and does not allow the incoming/outgoing calls. When it is like this I can use my phone with every other function possible and there is no sign that it isnt working.
The only time I can see that there is a problem is when I switch it off and on again and then I have many "Missed call" messages popping through.
Therefore I miss many calls for personal and business and I need to swithc my phone off and on maybe 3 times a day.
I dont understand why it does this as I have never dropped or damaged the phone in any way.
Nokia has been my first choice in phones for over 10 years but the amount of problems I have had with my N97 in the last 7 months means this will be my last.
I cannot update software or download anything because it keeps telling me I am out of memory. In fact the memory is so bad, what is the point of having all these wonderful apps if you cannot use them! waste of money!
It keeps switching itself off.
It keeps hanging so that the only way I can clear it is buy ringing it with another phone (which works for a couple of seconds), or by switching on and off a few times and hoping it works, or removing and replacing the batter (same results).
Now the camera doesnt automatically come on when i open the lens.
The backlight needs to stay open a lot longer than 60 seconds - that's **bleep** for surfing.
When updating the music library if i've made changes to the name of a track it will revert back to the original.
This is the tip of the iceberg, but the fact that it just keeps switching off when i'm nowhere near it and that i can't switch it on again is too unreliable.
At best this is an ipod on which you can surf and make/receive phone calls. you cannot use all the apps - i've never been able to have a game on their as well, or have documents on there etc etc without getting a beep to tell me i've not got enough memory.
I just procured my Nokia C6 3 days ago, and to be honest I am not able to use it. It hangs numerous times a day and the only way out is to disconnect the battery and plug it again.

Spoken to T-mobile and they sent me the settings as they should be. I have saved them and tried again. But picture of video parts of messages aren't going through, only the text parts arrive. I can go to the phone settings and see the data being sent, and it is always the correct amount. But the multimedia bits don't get there. Yet I can send them to myself. The people I send to, can send and receive multimedia just fine to other people. Could someone on T-mobile post all their settings please?

I can only see the home screen and I see that my service provider data service icon at the top right corner. I am not even able to switch off the phone or access any options in the phone. There's-one-little-glitch: Where I live MMS service is - not - available! If I delete even one (1) character I get another pop up saying, 'Msg type changed to text msg.'
Nokia's solution: When the N8 tries to convert to mms go to Options > Sending Options > msg type > Text. Nokia's solution fails immediately after pressing 'Options' because there is NO 'Sending Options' option to select! How - can I disable/remove/get rid of this unwanted/forced MMS change over so I can write and send as many characters as I want/need in SMS (text).
When typing using the backlight on either Live Messenger, or writing a document on Word or a long message, the device completely freezes and blacks out, with both screens, keypads being unresponsive. I have to take the battery out and put it back in to make it work again.This has only ever happened when I'm typing with the backlight on, and for a prolonged period. Backlight function is pretty much useless right now. Background apps are not the issue, and neither is any other function.The backlight is basically useless right now.
