I have a VX4400, and someone else living here just ordered a used VX3400 that's coming without a charger. If they use the same plug, can they use the same wall charger? The VX4400 I got came with a TC98A charger, and the "official" charger for the VX3400 is supposed to be the TA-P01WR.

My problem is that suddenly (since yesterday) when I open the Ovi Maps site (http://maps.ovi.com/) I don't see the map surface anymore, I just see a white surface!!! Everything else is in place. I can zoom in and out of this white surface I can even change to 3D and the blue sky on top appears but no map. Needless to say the same goes for satelite or any other option. No map appears. If I reload the page the map appears for a second and disappears immediately. When I deactivate the ovi maps plug-in (4.0.12.12), the map reappears and stays. I even tried to unistall it and reinstall it but the same thing happens, NO map visible. When I reinstalled it, it said that the plug-in is not compatible with firefox 3.6.3. The strange thing is that I didn't updated my firefox since yesterday, it just started to happen suddenly. I couldn't find anything like that elsewhere on the web so this place is my last hope. Has anyone had a similar experience or even better a possible solution? By the way I have windows 7 but I can't imagine a reason for this being relevant since it work just fine until yesterday.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis question may apply to lithium cell phone batteries in general, or at least to more than one phone.I just got a used VX4400 with two batteries. One of them goes dead very quickly, then recharges very quickly, then goes dead again very quickly, so I think I can assume it's toast, unless someone has some advanced tricks for reconditioning it.
The other battery shows some life, but after a few minutes of calling after a full recharge, the number of bars quickly goes down to one. But then if I leave it idle for a while, it goes back up to 3 bars. I've tried this a few times without recharging, and it keep bouncing between one and three bars.Is there a way to recalibrate the battery meter, or is this a sign that the battery is bad? Or does this phone just have a funky battery meter?
iphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. It started one morning after charging all night.

I can plug it in but it doesn't seem to recognize the plug...I've tried a couple of them now...no charging, no data transfer. I think the receptacle must be broken in the iPhone itself. It worked a couple of times after I started having the problem but doesn't seem to work at all now...my phone is slowly losing its charge so I need to do something today - because I can't be without a working phone.

Like, the charger I'm trying to use is a BlackBerry charger, and fits into the phone, but it charges properly for about a minute, then comes up with what looks like a charger symbol in the battery bar, then doesn't charge whatsoever. View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout 3 days ago, my Torch decided it no longer wants to work with ANY wall charger, or car charger for that matter. I have been using it just fine for the past 6 months, and charging it just about every night, topping it off for a fresh charge for the morning.
Now, NO wall chargers work, simply no response. The ONLY way I can charge is via the USB cable and my laptop. This is VERY annoying and no one at the AT&T store seems to know what's going on.
I've tried all kinds of battery pulls and reboots - even upgraded to the latest software, downgraded back - NOTHING seems to be working!
What is the solution to this problem? How can I get it to charge again in my wall and car chargers?
My phone is unable to charge the battery up. The phone and battery are both working fine, but the problem seems to be with charging. I've used multiple chargers so the problem does lie with the phone itself.

When plugged in, there is no notification or beep but a mild shock can be felt at the back cover! Strangely, it works fine with computer USB ports.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI went and got a bumper case from my local apple store overall i actually like it a lot but there is one really frustrating problem. The only usb / charger cable that seems to fit into the dock port with the bumper case on is the apple one. I have a couple aftermarket usb cables tha ti use to charge it (one at work and a couple at home and one in my car) they all have just a slightly larger head on them than the stock apple one and will not fit into the dock port with the bumper case on. so is there something out there that is similar to or better than the bumper case which will free up my dock connector?

I just got the new iPhone. I'm still using Tiger 10.4.11 on my MacBook Pro.I plugged my new phone in to the computer and it said that the phone isn't compatible with my version of OSX. I didn't think this would be a problem since my iPhone 3G works just fine with it.
I know I can buy a new version of OSX, but after spending £450 on the phone, I'm not really in a position to afford the £132 it's going to cost me to upgrade (Apple website says I need to go for the Mac Box Set, and not just Snow Leopard) at the moment.
This isn't my main question, but if I was to ask someone who already has the Mac Box Set for a copy of the disk, would it install on my Mac, or do I have to buy it myself? Sorry if that's a silly question.If I was to set up my new phone on the PC I have here, I wouldn't be able to then plug it back into my Mac, would I? All my music and contact info etc is stored on my Mac so it'll be a major hassle to have to start all over again on the PC.And also, say if I did start using this on the PC, when I do eventually get Snow Leopard, do I have to start all over again if I want to go back to using the phone with my Mac?

The software (Meye) is for 1.6 and I can't find any more information about it. However, I want to upgrade to 2.1 for voice to text. So my questions are: 1) is 2.1 stable because I have read all kinds of horror stories about it being unstable and crashing, restarting, etc; 2) is 2.1 backwards compatible to 1.6 since I must have the surveillance software installed; and 3) what can I use to upgrade other than Sony Upgrade Service since I tried using it and it just reinstalled 1.6 again?

Since the upgrade to 4s, I continiue to get an error ("unable to sync items. See iTunes for details") when trying to sync videos taken with her 4s with my iphone 4. Itunes doesn't provide any further detail on the error.

confirm that the difficulty in pairing these two with each other is that they both have a Master BT protocol and so cannot adopt a Master - Slave relationship? setting the iPhone to a Personal Network for example. I haven't managed to find this on the iPhone 4S, just VPN, Wi-Fi or Data. Or should I just accept that they won't ever communicate via Bluetooth!?
