I'm thinking of purchasing an elm phone to replace my windows mobile and have been looking compatibility issues with outlook. I can't find anywhere guarenteeing I can sync my outlook contacts and diary with the phone. There seems to be a sync software available but it doesn't seem to have that many details about it just screen shots.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just spent most of the day getting the PC Suite (6.011.00) to work with IVT BlueSoleil. So here's how I got it to work. I wanted to use Bluetooth but my laptop doesn't have BT so I got the BlueSoleil USB dongle. Basically, Windows failed to install the BlueSoleil device properly yesterday so I ran the BlueSoleil setup.exe. Big Mistake. PC Suite couldn't see Bluetooth at all.
But the BlueSoleil app could do file transfer etc. So the bluetooth pairing/connection etc. was working for BlueSoleil's app but the Sony Ericsson PC Suite couldn't access it at all. Sony Ericsson support were totally useless - they refused to provide any troubleshooting at all for the problem because they don't make the BT dongle. And they wouldn't even recommend a BT dongle that they know to work. Anyway, after much cursing and rebooting, here's what worked:Don't run BlueSoleil's setup.exe!
I uninstalled the IVT BlueSoleil software and uninstalled the BT Radios from the Device Manager. I then rebooted and plugged the dongle in. Windows attempted an install and most of it succeeded but a couple of bits (BT peripheral or something failed). Then the Windows Control Panel / Bluetooth Devices could see my C510. Then running PC Suite allowed it to see BT and go right through to connect to the phone, etc. Hope that might save someone a few hours.
Is it possible to use other cam driver in my w705((5 mp or 8 mp))? is that possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if anybody else knew about the following or if it is wrong and may harm my phone. I went onto the playnow site on my phone via internet search. Whilst on it I scrolled down the bottom of the screen and clicked free stuff and lots more stuff came up available than when I go on playnow on my laptop. I downloaded a few and they all seem to work although they pop up with a strange type of keypad thing under neath the application when its open.
I then went back onto the play now site. I was on and was looking about when I noticed it had a bit that said : country - uk your phone - w880i. I didn't put this in it was already there. Mine is the Vivaz handset and yet the applications seem to work ok under the w880i phone. Should it not be compatible? should I remove the apps I downloaded this way of my phone to prevent a problem etc? I am so confused at the moment as to whether it is safe etc. for my phone. As I didn't expect it to happen. I always thought when you go onto a site like play now it would know what phone is being used.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere's a firmware compatibility issue of W595 with HPM-85 handsfree. Everytime I connect HPM-85 handsfree to my W595 for listening to music, the walkman application pops up with an error message saying "Playback Failed", also, sometimes the handsfree gets disconnected automatically from the firmware and shows a message asking, "Continue Playback Through Speakers" (the firmware disconnects the handsfree automatically even when the handsfree is plugged into the phone).
I checked my HPM- 85 handsfree on other Sony Ericsson phones and turned out that it works fine with no problems mentioned above. Also, I looked up using the handsfree which came with the phone to make sure if my phone had any issue, and it had no problems as above. So I guess its a firmware compatibility issue with HPM-85. I request you to get this issue notified to the Sony Ericsson firmware developers team to fix this bug asap and release a new firmware update.
Does anyone know if the Vivaz is compatible with Micro SDHC 32gb cards?

If I change to the 8Gb card that came with the mobile everything works fine.If I copy music to the phone via media sync or just dragging files only few of the files appear in the phone. i.e: For a 10 track album I only see 4 songs.Also having problems with pictures or videos, the files seems to be corrupted. Any ideas? I'm using Snow Leopard + Sony ericsson Media Sync. Also tried Saling Media Sync.Vivaz software version: 1224-4699_R2CA026

When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. Please any suggestions this phone has been reliable upto this piont

Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with the GPS on my vivaz.The problem is that it seems to be having trouble finding the satellites and at best only picks up one, giving me a message that says "GPS works poorly indoors and in enclosed areas".I have had the phone for about two months now and it did work perfectly at first, I have fitted a zagg invisible skin to the phone and cannot recall if I had used the GPS with it fitted but have tried with the back cover removed and the invisible skin peeled back where the GPS sensor is located but to no avail. Can anyone help or is it a warrenty issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my satio in may and didnt even have it for a month before things went wrong. firstly, i was never able to send a MMS to a virgin mobile phone. and then i wasnt able to send a text message to anyone. i called SE and they did all this stuff and called my carrier AT&T and nothing was wrong with my service because i put my SIM in my old phone and was able to send MMS and SMS. so SE said i had to send my satio in for repair(why they didnt just replace the phone i have no idea) and now i am waiting for parts. its been 2 weeks since i sent my phone in. and now i hear there isnt going to be another update? theres slight problems with this phone that if were fixed, it would beat the iphone and droid by a mile. i was just getting used to my satio and then i had to return it. they say i probably wont get it back until the 8th of july. thats just crazy in my opinion. why didnt they just replace the phone? when i looked into the satio as my new phone it looked so cool and when i got it i was so amazed by it. i even got a manuel in a different language, had to call SE and they said they wont send me an english manuel and that i should just look it up on their website since they update the software a lot...well apparently they dont since they havent updated it in months. to say the least, i am disapointed in SE with their future of the satio.

I used to use wi-fi nearly 5 times in a day (my house has wi-fi) And suddenly about a month back, my wi-fi has stopped working. I mean, it doesn't detect any available networks at all. Earlier it used to automatically detect my home network, but now even if I try to search available networks it shows a blank list - I have even tried searching in places like airports, hotels, etc. as Wi-Fi was one of the main reasons I bought this phone for.
