Sony Ericsson :: BlueSoleil - PC Suite Compatibility

I just spent most of the day getting the PC Suite (6.011.00) to work with IVT BlueSoleil. So here's how I got it to work. I wanted to use Bluetooth but my laptop doesn't have BT so I got the BlueSoleil USB dongle. Basically, Windows failed to install the BlueSoleil device properly yesterday so I ran the BlueSoleil setup.exe. Big Mistake. PC Suite couldn't see Bluetooth at all.
But the BlueSoleil app could do file transfer etc. So the bluetooth pairing/connection etc. was working for BlueSoleil's app but the Sony Ericsson PC Suite couldn't access it at all. Sony Ericsson support were totally useless - they refused to provide any troubleshooting at all for the problem because they don't make the BT dongle. And they wouldn't even recommend a BT dongle that they know to work. Anyway, after much cursing and rebooting, here's what worked:Don't run BlueSoleil's setup.exe!
I uninstalled the IVT BlueSoleil software and uninstalled the BT Radios from the Device Manager. I then rebooted and plugged the dongle in. Windows attempted an install and most of it succeeded but a couple of bits (BT peripheral or something failed). Then the Windows Control Panel / Bluetooth Devices could see my C510. Then running PC Suite allowed it to see BT and go right through to connect to the phone, etc. Hope that might save someone a few hours.

I'm thinking of purchasing an elm phone to replace my windows mobile and have been looking compatibility issues with outlook. I can't find anywhere guarenteeing I can sync my outlook contacts and diary with the phone. There seems to be a sync software available but it doesn't seem to have that many details about it just screen shots.

I was just wondering if anybody else knew about the following or if it is wrong and may harm my phone. I went onto the playnow site on my phone via internet search. Whilst on it I scrolled down the bottom of the screen and clicked free stuff and lots more stuff came up available than when I go on playnow on my laptop. I downloaded a few and they all seem to work although they pop up with a strange type of keypad thing under neath the application when its open.
I then went back onto the play now site. I was on and was looking about when I noticed it had a bit that said : country - uk your phone - w880i. I didn't put this in it was already there. Mine is the Vivaz handset and yet the applications seem to work ok under the w880i phone. Should it not be compatible? should I remove the apps I downloaded this way of my phone to prevent a problem etc? I am so confused at the moment as to whether it is safe etc. for my phone. As I didn't expect it to happen. I always thought when you go onto a site like play now it would know what phone is being used.

There's a firmware compatibility issue of W595 with HPM-85 handsfree. Everytime I connect HPM-85 handsfree to my W595 for listening to music, the walkman application pops up with an error message saying "Playback Failed", also, sometimes the handsfree gets disconnected automatically from the firmware and shows a message asking, "Continue Playback Through Speakers" (the firmware disconnects the handsfree automatically even when the handsfree is plugged into the phone).
I checked my HPM- 85 handsfree on other Sony Ericsson phones and turned out that it works fine with no problems mentioned above. Also, I looked up using the handsfree which came with the phone to make sure if my phone had any issue, and it had no problems as above. So I guess its a firmware compatibility issue with HPM-85. I request you to get this issue notified to the Sony Ericsson firmware developers team to fix this bug asap and release a new firmware update.

my first post here. I've had problems with a 32Gb card, don't know if the problem is the card or the "SDHC" standar. If I change to the 8Gb card that came with the mobile everything works fine.If I copy music to the phone via media sync or just dragging files only few of the files appear in the phone. i.e: For a 10 track album I only see 4 songs.Also having problems with pictures or videos, the files seems to be corrupted. Any ideas? I'm using Snow Leopard + Sony ericsson Media Sync. Also tried Saling Media Sync.Vivaz software version: 1224-4699_R2CA026

I have downloaded the latest version of the Ericsson pc suite successfully to my computer. However when I plug the usb cable in and go through the connecting proceedure it get rights the way to the end and then a grey box appears with an error message, send error report, don't send error report and which ever one you click shuts down the pc suite and you have to go through it all again for the same error report at the end!

My Vivaz phone and the PC Suite software does not sync correctly. In My laptop (XP), I could sync my contacts and bookmarks. But in my desktop (Win7), I can only sync my bookmarks. Why is this happening? I also have below problems. I am not able to rename my memory card.I am not able to backup my contacts to memory card (there is no option in the contacts menu)The sound quality is very low. I need to back up all my contacts to PC. As far as I know the best way to do it is using SE PC Suite (if there is any other simpler ways of doing that please let me know as well) I downloaded latest PC Suite from SE website. Everything is goes well till it starts pairing up C905 and computer. Computer can see the phone, so does the phone, I can establish bluetooth connection from PC own software. But not through PC suite. After I am filling in passcode on the phone, few moments later, there is warning message, that pairing failed. I reinstalled PC Suite few times and it doesn't work. Do I need any specific drivers, for bluetooth to install on my comp? I am using Vista pro.

I need to transfer my phone contacts from my C903 to my X10 mini before the 24th but bluetooth isn't working - "paired but not connected" mesg - and more importantly, the C903 will not connect to PC Suite or PC Companion. When the phone is connnected via USB, the PC finds the Camera aspect of the phone but not the phone itself. When the phone is in Mass Storage the C903 connects to both PC Suite and PC Companion ok. I've tried the standard fixes but to no avail.

I downloaded the PC suite from the Vivaz via the memory card and USB cable (as prompted by the program). I subsequently downloaded it from the website various times. I'm asked by PC suite to connect first the USB followed by the phone. The program momentarily detects the phone and then proudly announces that the PC suite is unable to detect the phone. Please go back to start or troubleshooting. Which I have done many times, to no avail! I've tried everything! The computer can detect the phone as storage device but the PC suite finds nothing.

I have Sony ericson k850i its not starting. when i press start button its keypad illuminates and nothing else.When connected with PC its says the phone is in Mass storage media.The PC suite can not access the phone.I tried the repair tool in the Sony Ericsson PC Suite but it didn't work.

I have a few issues with my W595. I have taken a back up of all my phone contents using PC Suite but being a belt and braces sort of chap, I really want a hard copy of all of my contacts. I have been able to do this easily with other phone versions of PC Suite but I can't see how to do it with the W595 version. It is very important that I do this because the issues I am having with my phone, (it keeps losing all of the contacts and call history as well as stored text messages).

I have recently bought Spiro and updated the software. Now I wanted to update the contacts from my old W200i to this one. Checked SYNC but Spiro doesn't come up in the list of the phones. Some forum digging made me realize that Spiro is also not compatible with PC Suite too. Will Spiro support PC Suite/Online Sync in the near future or SE? Except for some connector issues my W200i had worked brilliantly. I wanted Spiro to tide some time till I get an android from SE only. I have advocated SE to the point of being labeled a fanboy and now this. I am having serious doubt about SE's commitment towards its consumers.

After that I install more then 60 apps (games, themes etc.) and I try to open suite settings in applications manager to remove onscreen keyboard I get an error (memory full). But there's a lot of free space everywhere C:, E:, RAM etc.

I have tried to synchronize my Aino for several times with Outlook. It worked last time, now the process is being interrupted. I did several attemps to synchronize, but in the middle of the proceess, the PC Suite all of a sudden switches from PC mode to USB mode. It looks as if the Aino had just been connected, but I haven't touched the Aino, the cable, or the computer.

My N900 only seems to be able to connect to PC Suite in 'non-compatibility' mode.This mode doesnt allow me to use any of the PC suite applications.How do I change the mode to 'compatibility' mode, or the 'normal' mode so everything works!No options appear on the phone when the USB cable is connected for PC Suite, like it should do? The phone is automatically charged via the connection though.

I'm trying to download a new software update for my W760a, because it tells me it cannot add anymore contacts and I can't recieve or send texts/ phone calls. When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.
