May 18, 2011I have been getting an "unauthorized charger" message lately when attempting to charge my phone. I'm using the charger that came with the phone. This is the second time I've encountered this issue with the Entice W766 and am wondering just how common the problem is. The first time I encountered the problem was a few months after I bought the phone. My phone went from holding a charge for 3 or 4 days to holding a charge for less than 24 hours. Verizon was able to reproduce the message in their store and, in the end, I ended up with a replacement phone. Fast forward to today, over a year later, and I'm having the same problem all over again... unauthorized charger... phone not holding a charge after most charges. I seem to get a good charge about one out of five tries. It's all Motorola branded gear.Better yet, is there a fix for it that doesn't involve going to the Verizon store and begging for a new phone?

May 14, 2012iphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. It started one morning after charging all night.

Jun 27, 2012I can plug it in but it doesn't seem to recognize the plug...I've tried a couple of them now...no charging, no data transfer. I think the receptacle must be broken in the iPhone itself. It worked a couple of times after I started having the problem but doesn't seem to work at all now...my phone is slowly losing its charge so I need to do something today - because I can't be without a working phone.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: Error Message In Windows When Plug USB
Jun 28, 2011When up connect my Atrix to my computer via the USB cable, I get the message, "Do you want to scan and fix MB860?" as wells as "Do you want to scan and fix SD card?" This happens on a Windows Vista and on a Windows 7 computer. The problem is not that I do not disconnect properly from the computer, as I always click that "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the tray (isn't that what they call it?) down on the right of the Taskbar, and then click the proper choice before unplugging the cable. If I tell it I do want to scan and fix, there is never any problem found after the scanning.

Sep 27, 2011The plug part of my Motorola Defy stopped working so my only option at the moment is to charge via USB which isn't too great when I don't have my own computer at home at the moment so charging options are very limited.I contacted Amazon where I purchased the phone and they want me to send the whole lot back for replacement when it is just the plug part that doesn't work!i then contacted Motorola via their Chat and they were not much help either. It took them ages to respond to my query as they were busy chatting to someone else on the phone. When I eventually got a reply they said to contact CPW Accessory Repairs on 0870 087 0168. Contacted them and I was speaking to a robot and punching in different buttons on the keypad. Eventually it said to bring it in to one of the CPW stores and they may be able to help repair or replace it.What an absolute farce. It's absurd and impractical that Amazon have to replace the whole thing instead of just the small part that is faulty. It is just the plug part that doesn't work and I can't be sending the whole thing back with all my applications and viewranger maps to have to reinstall it all over again.

Aug 11, 2012I received a Verizon "CLND" I've had issues with it charging. Not with battery drain or charge time(when it does charge). Occasionally when I plug my d4 in, to charge I receive no response from the battery icon nor on the lock screen. Other times I plug it in it charges just fine. Things I've tried: wipe cache partition via recovery menu, factory reset via settings>privacy>factory reset>erase internal memory, factory reset via recovery menu then wipe cache partition, safe mode, charge while off, different USB, different outlet, different adapter (part that plug into the wall that you plug the USB into), charge at work, charge via Xbox,PC, and car charger. All micro USB's, adapters and car charger is legit Motorola products adapter and USB are factory products received with purchase of d4 and RAZR. I did notice when the device is off the moment I plug the USB into the phone the notification led flashes green once (thinking of the beep codes on a PC). I am unsure as to what might be causing this issue I would love to get this resolved without having another "CLND " or sending it in for repairs

Feb 1, 2010I was trying to back up my contacts from my Nokia E51, but something went wrong and they are now missing.
Here is what I did:
I downloaded the Nokia E51 iSync plugin found on this page after selecting E51: http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/isync/compatibility-and-download.I made sure iSync.app was not running and installed the plugin.I created a group in Address Book.app called Nokia, into which I was going to back up my contacts.I started iSync and added my mobile device. I chose to sync Contacts into the Nokia group, but decided not to sync the CalendarI chose to merge data (not to erase the device details first, which is another option)When I clicked sync I saw a message on the phone stating "Sending 315 contacts", and a little while later, "Receiving 315 contacts." Finally, a "Sync complete" (or something similar) appeared.
After this, I was a little more than shocked to find both the Nokia group within Address Book.app empty, as well as the contacts list on the phone it self. In pure desperation, I restarted the phone, but still - all my contacts are missing.
I know that the webpage says that one should backup all details before synchronizing - which in itself is somewhat of a chicken and egg problem. Backing up is exactly what I was trying to do.
Does anyone have any pointers or ides that I could try to get back the (potentially, hopefully) lost data? I haven't written anything back to the contacts list, is there a way to reconstruct (parts of) the contacts list by reading the memory directly (similar to how deleted files can sometimes be recovered if they haven't been written over)?

My biggest problem with the handset is that there's no support for the 6350 in Apple's iSync application and there isn't a plugin available from Nokia. When I bought it I had to enter all of my information by hand (since a SIM transfer completely sucks[2]). Now I'm having the handset replaced because the back is falling off and I'm faced with reentering all of that information again.
So, when will there be iSync support for the 6350? And are there any other ways (other than the aforementioned sucky SIM card method) to transfer all of my current data from the old 6350 to the new one when I get it in a couple of days?

Jul 27, 2010On the support site is a link from Vivaz Pro to download the iSync plugin. This links to a file Sony_Ericsson_iSync_plugins_(9)_v2.1_fc.dmg which does not contain the plugin required for Vivaz U5i or Vivaz Pro U8i. There is an older version lurking around here (v2.0b) which contains a U5i plugin but no U8i. There are a load of people moaning on the Facebook discussion about this but no solution, and searching here I can find no mention.
The first thing Sony Ericsson need to do to stop off customers is remove the link to the wrong file from the support page. Had I known that Vivaz Pro was not supporting Mac iSync I wouldn't have got it, but I checked first and saw that the iSync plugin was (allegedly) available for download so expected it to work. This is very shoddy business practice by SE who have been my preferred mobile since the Ericsson T10 and R300 over 10 years ago.
Can we please have a working U8i iSync plugin - since you already have a U5i one the changes will be trivial - probably just to the package name and some of the identifying strings in the xml .plist files. It is not rocket science. Has anyone found a way to adapt the U5i one without SE support - at the moment I can't use my new phone as I can't sync contacts and calendar so it'll be going back before the 14 days are up and I'll switch to a different brand for future phones (sadly this will probably mean joining the iPhone herd as at least then I'll be confident it'll work with Mac).
