View 9 RepliesI have been reciving texts and popups telling me to update my phone, so I tryed to on the sute, it confermed there was an update available, it started to update then about half way windows (xp) started to try to install drivers and the x6 was dissconected and would reconect, I then researched the problem and found the same thimg had happened to other people on the nokia boards, however using windows 7,the advice was to dissable auto driver instalations.
I then, in system properties, hardware, under the driver heading selected windoesupdate and selected never search windoes for driver updates. i'm not sure if this is the correct thing to have done but was the only thing that came to mind that may stop it. Restarted pc and tryed updating my phone agane, now it thinks it has the update but it dident finish, so I selected renstall the update and the same thing happened but now no windows driver popups it just dissconnects and i get the same error message.I have hard restarted the phone in the hope it will wipe the part update so I can then use the 0000 to update it on the hand set, but to no luck, it is desplaying the recent firmware number and there is no option to reinstall from the hand set just to update it.
I've been using nokia x6 now.. Got problems with the internet.. It disconnects automatically .. Like while surfing and using wifi it suddenly stops and disconnects.. I still have to search for access points over and over again.Another is when I use this free apps to chat with friends, the connection stops all of a sudden..Been experiencing this for long regardless of what internet connection I use.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI instructed Map Loader to download Europe (no less) which happens to be a wopping 2.2 Gigabyte. It calculated probably pretty accurately that downloading Europe would cost 1 hours 9 minutes and 48 seconds. A decent figure. Having started the download I absentmindedly and without any evil will disconnected my phone mid-download after 45 min give or take to make a phone call. That made Map Loader scream with discomfort (Waiting for phone!!) and eventual crash, with a fancy .NET debug message displayed. Yes, my dear readers, Map Loader is written with some Visual tool from Redmond where I expected a nice Qt based application. This now meant that all work was for nothing and the next time I selected Europe for download I was surprised to find it hadn't shrunk and was still the 2.2 Gigabyte and would still take 1 hours and 9 minutes and 48 seconds (thanks, Data) to download.
Now, I did not disconnect my ISP, paid all the facility bills so actually there would be no reason why 87% or an odd 1.8Gig wouldn't be around sitting on my PC still so that only that last 13% needed a download and I would go ahead and fix a drink to have the download finished in an agreeable time. It would be nice for my and Nokia's bandwidth and the environment (not to mention Europe) to have Map Loader at least save partial data so that in case of an unfortunate attack on the connection between Map Loader and the hand-set at hand it would be able to continue where it left off.
I am having this problem ever since I got my gs6. tried reinstall usb drivers, other usb ports, reinstall smart switch and resetted my phone was not working at all. I need to backup my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I first noticed this bug while trying to charge my phone from one of the USB ports on my computer, while the phone is off. It constantly connects and disconnects to the computer (as indicated by the sounds Windows makes) and the battery icon that flashes while the phone is off and charging keeps coming on and off. Not a major bug, but quite annoying if you have the phone connected while it's off.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro, btw.
I followed the instructions in PC companion and after the last screen with disconnect the cable and boot up it started ut fine but then nothing happend, this was an hour ago.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt took me all nite, but I was able to re-jailbreak my iPhone 3GS after I got stuck in reboot mode after a network reset and was forced to update to 3.1.3. This happened almost 3 weeks ago, and I not only lost my jailbreak, but all of the apps, photos and EVERYTHING that I had on my phone as after I did the update to 3.1.3 I could only set up my phone as a new device. Anyway, I searched online and I found all of the tools I needed to accomplish this task. I downloaded Redsn0w 0.9.2, BlackRa1n RC3, The 3.1.2 ispw firmware, and iRecovery. I also found a post on hacking the drivers folder in the Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts file in Windows that would allow 3.1.3 to be downloaded to 3.1.2. It took a couple of hours and some patience, but when all was said and done I was able to downgrade the firmware and re-jailbreak my phone.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've had the phone for a few months now, and it has been somewhat unreliable since day one: random reboots among the many and various problems I've had come and go sporadically. Never got 'round to contacting any kind of support 'till now. I haven't rooted the device, installed any custom ROM etc. It's a retail model FWIW.
I've just used the msu utility to update to 2.2 and after finishing the update the phone won't boot. I see an M logo with an ominous red background, followed by
Bootloader
09.10
Err:A5,69,35,00,2F
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect to USB
Data Cable
I've tried holding the volume / power buttons at startup and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
I just bought a S6 to use Samsung Pay.
Received it today, fist thing I had to do was update it from 5.0.2. So I used the OTA update from t-mobile option (as it offered it as soon as I turned the phone on and connected to Wifi).
I click the "Restart and apply update" when it had finished downloading, set the phone down, browse the internet for a little and notice it was hanging on the Samsung logo.
I try to turn it off and on, nothing works. I try entering recovery mode, won't let me.So I then download and try manually flashing 5.1.1 through ODIN.
Everything says "PASS" in ODIN, it reboots and gets to the Samsung logo, shows the android robot, says "installing updates" but when the bar reaches about 45% it switches to "erasing" then goes back to getting stuck on the Samsung Logo.
What can I do ? I really don't want to trip knox as Pay is the sole reason I bought this stupid phone, all other Stock ROMS now fail odin and G920TUVU3DOI1_G920TTMB3DOI1_G920TUVU3DOI1_HOME.tar is just doing the Install then erase thing.
I have an Xperia X10 since July on Vodafone UK. It is (was) running the latest SE firmware, but is now 'bricked' - I learned this term while googl-ing for the problem, but all the mentions involve 'debranding' or installation of unofficial (unauthorised) firmware releases - and I haven't done ANY of that.
The story in detail:
1. In recent days I noticed some glitches in the performance of Android Market on the phone: some downloads were reported as 'unsuccessful' and had to be repeated. This happened both with new apps and with updates. On occasions a reboot was necessary for downloads to start happening normaly again.
2. Today (Sat 30-10) this went to extreme: NO download from the Market was possible at all, each time it stalled forever. As explanation, an error message started coming up: "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped and needs to be force-closed". No rebooting would solve this. I cleaned several caches (after reading various forums about the error)
3. I decided to reinstall the firmware, hoping to fix the Market performance. Backed up all my data and connected to PC Companion. In the first phase it reported that I "already have the latest version", but I wasn't after an update, so I went on to Repair / Reinstall.
4. The download went smoothly and the installation started well, proceeding to near-the-end. THEN, PC Companion reported: "The installation was unsuccessful, try again". I tried - several times, and the result was the same. Decided to return to my existing installation and seek other ways to repair that 'com.google.,..' process.
5. On attempting to boot, I saw that dreaded YELLOW TRIANGLE with no explanation, and a dead phone not responding to any controls. Had to turn it off by removing thebattery..
6. Several re-installation attempts with both Companion and SEUS also failed, and I am stuck with a useless brick
Yesterday I updated my Nexus 5 to android 6 via ota update notification. it seems it didn't download correctly. after a hour I power off my cellphone and after that it didnt boot again and still in page with android logo and ! red mark.
I tried to install ota update file via adb sideload but I got status 7 error.
After that I tried to solve status 7 with flash system.img's factory image file but when I type fastboot flash system system.img it still on <<waiting for device>> screen. How can I solve this problem. My datas are very important for me and I dont want to lost theme.
I updated my phone using the PC companion and this crashed half way through. I now have a phone that will turn on but on the loading screen is stuck wiyth a frozen yellow screen at the bottom half of the screen. it states:Repair your phone software You can perform a manual phone update to repair the software even if the phone doesn't start or can't be found by PC Companion.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using a non-rooted device. I pulled the OTA update for gingerbread and it downloaded successfully. When it restarts it loads up to the boot screen and begins installation. It gets about 1/4 of the way before I get an exclamation error and the phone restarts. I've tried it multiple times and even formatted my phone before trying it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIt is seen in the web that Motorola is going to release updates for unlocking the locks in the bootloader in its phones just like xoom from Q3 ,2011 onwards. Is it true?If so whether it will be available to the Milestone(European version) also? And to the rooted Milestone also?Whether this update is available by OTA or through web?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just followed this tutorial : [URL] .....
I used the second way, because the first one told me that 'system.img' was missing (not the only one), whatever; second method was good I did all it was asked but I didn't saw the one command out of the box "fastboot flash cache C:androidimagecache.img", I mean, I did all the command in the 'Code' box but the one 'fastboot flash cache C:androidimagecache.img' was out and I miss it.
So next I followed the step, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons, press Power Button + Volume UP when the android is dead with triangle, it's okay, but now the phone just rebooted and there were no 'Select "Wipe data/factory data reset' as tutorial said there will be.
And now I'm stuck in the boot animation since around 15 minutes I tried to update to 6.0.0 and it's just stuck in the animation.
I got an OTA update notification for 5.1 I downloaded and pressed install. It prompted me for a restart which i did. My phone has a setting which required me to punch in screen lock code everytime my phone restarts. Now, after restarting, it asks me to punch in the screen lock code. After punching in screen lock code, its stuck in boot animation loop ### Read some posts online and they mention " unlocking bootloader before updating. What is bootloader ? How do i check if my boot loader is locked or unlocked?
I tried to boot in recovery mode and it shows me " No command" ... I wiped cache partition through recovery mode- still no luck. It's stuck in boot loop..
My Xoom said an update was available last week and every since th update was applied the boot process will not progress past the Motorola logo with "Dual Core Technology" below it. How to make my system functional again?

I have even tried to reset with: Vol Down + Power + right down tap. But the small droid doesn't come up. Do I have to bring it to the service? I need my phone every day for work..
My xperia z3 was a little low on battery while attempting an update (said it would only be 9 minutes...) and phone died in the process. Now the software update failed message appears and i cannot boot the phone. cannot charge sufficiently because this continuous boot process. tried the power+volume up to stop booting but that didnt work. tried to repair through PC companion. Told me there was no update available. what do I do now!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have never rooted my phone nor have I flashed a custom ROM before. I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLike others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
So i came home yesterday, Sent a text to my friend to log in to play some Cod with me.. I left my phone next to my bed,On a table.. I come back about 3-4 hours later the phone is dead, I figured i needed to charge the battery.. Put the charger in and went back to the computer, Came back another 2-3 hours later and still nothing.. It only vibrates when i try to boot it, I tried a hard reset Green/Red/Camera/Power key, But it doesnt work.. The phone just vibrates at the beginning, then it keeps vibrating with a 3-5 seconds interval between them..
I've removed the memory card and the sim card, Still doesnt boot up..
I've removed the battery and had it out for 5-10 mins, Still wont boot
And i think it's the newest firmware version..Its my dads phone,My 5800 broke a few weeks back..
I've tried with a different battery, Didn't fix it
Is there anyway to fix it or do i need to turn it in for repairs?
When I connected my x6 via usb, the screen went blank and came back freezing on the boot-up screen (white screen with NOKIA in blue letters.) I couldn't switch off the phone with the power button so I removed the battery. When I switch on the phone now, it freezes on the boot-up screen and stays there. The only thing I can do is remove the battery.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a possibility to switch off the boot screen music (that appears after entering the codes and prior to display of a custom boot message) on the E72? The music is quite loud and completely inappropriate in a plane or business setting.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking about getting an E72, but I have never had a Nokia smartphone before, and would like to ask a few questions hopefully somebody will be able to clarify.
1. I understand E72 supports Exchange and standard webmail apps. What is Nokia Messaging then? Looks similar to a BlackBerry set up. I have a Yahoo! email account which I would like to be able to configure it with the E72 built in email client (not the apps), and sync/reconcile two ways.
2. How about folders within Yahoo! mail? Are these shown in the built in email app?
3. I would like to have in sync Yahoo! contacts and calendar. Are these features supported?
4. Is it possible to open (and log in) Skype at phone boot?
