I spent an afternoon trying to have my new BT dongle (reeking transparent 2.0) working and after a lot of problem I won. When I rebooted my PC (xp sp3) and launched again Ovi suite I had no problems but now Ovi can't see my N82, while PC and phone are connected! One time I somehow got Ovi to see N82 but I had to add it as a new device, even if I already did before.
View 5 RepliesI have a nokia 6210 navigator and I can't get it to connect to my PC by the USB cable. It worked fine about a week ago and now it won't connect. I have updated the software and it still won't connect, when I plug the lead in to the phone it says "USB connected in PC suite but the PC suite dose not recognise the phone. When I try to connect within the PC suite it still doesn't find the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can not connect my N86 to pc via USB cable, I'm using Widows XP SP3, and Original USB cable comes with the package, Last version of PC Suite, Nokia connectivity cable driver, Nokia Pc Suite Cleaner, all downloaded from Nokia. When I connect it to pc, it starts to be charged but it doesn't be recognized by Pc Suite. I restarted pc and phone both and even reinstalled the program using PC Suite Cleaner several times but no success! I even reset the phone to Factory default and used different pc (with windows XP & 7) but still the same problem! I don't think it's security locked because I didn't change the setup.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Windows Vista, and am using Suite version 7.1.40.1 and connect my phone (a Nokia 6600 Slide) with a USB cable.The problem I'm having is that when I view my messages on my computer, it doesn't recognise a majority of the messages from my favourite contact, whether the messages are in a folder in the "saved items" section, or in the inbox itself.It's very frustrating because I want to save the messages onto my computer, but I can't save them if the PC Suite isn't recognising them. How can I make it recognise the messages it seems to be missing out?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry bold 9000, recently ive been having some problems with it, i did a routine battery pull while the phone was frozen, when it rebooted the arm on the loading screen went around twice then the phone rebooted again, it repeatedly does this until the phone dies, if i hook it up to the charger....same outcome, i am a poet and have months of work stored in the memos, and have about 90 numbers that werent saved on the simcard, i took the simcard out and the memory card, i have done pretty much everything i wus ever told to do as far as fixing it, i plan on buying an bold 9700 but i still must retrieve my contacts and memos can anyone give me any tips as far as fixing it, or atleast tell me how to get my memos and contacts off, thanks for your time and consideration.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have installed Nokia OVI Suite version 2.2.0.245 and attempted to sync my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device but I'm having various problems getting the OVI Suite to recognize my device. For the most part, when the program will come up with a message saying "Please change the USB mode on your device to OVI Suite (or PC Suite) USB Mode". Now, I'm already in PC Suite mode but I still disconnect the USB cable and connect it again, selecting the PC Suite mode again on my device. This does not change anything as I still get the same error message. When I don't get this error message, and I try to sync my messages (for example), the application crashes. I'm running windows Vista SP2, and my Nokia 5800 has the latest firmware installed V 31.2.101 (installed today July 7th, 2010) I don't know if this is a known issue and anybody knows how to fix it. if not, I hope the folks at Nokia take note and consider this issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
i've tried installing the updated ovi maps 3.04 several times now and each time i launch the app it will cause the screen to fade, then i get red, blue and green lines, then the phone reboots. i initially did the upgrade from 3.03, that version worked great, and as soon as it finished and i launched the app is crashed the phone. rebooted a few times and same thing, did a soft reset and same thing. then i completely wiped the phone, formatted the storage, hard reset, installed my must have apps like mfe, joikuspot premium, opera mobile, nimbuzz, facebook and Internet, then installed ovi maps............same thing. so now i'm going to do it all over again and install the maps first, then start installing apps one by one. i'm sure it's an incompatibility between ovi maps 3.04 and one of my apps. i'm not sure why though because 3.03 worked just fine with even more apps installed, and it's not like any of the apps i installed were betas. well after some additional testing i've narrowed the problem down to an incompatibility between ovi maps 3.04 and the current version of joikuspot premium downloaded from their website. i wiped the phone, installed the new version of ovi maps, and the app functioned as expected. i then downloaded and installed the current version of joikuspot premium directly from their website, registered it, launched it, then shut it down. then i tried launching ovi maps again. the application came up but after 5 to 10 seconds i got color streaks across the screen then the phone rebooted. i continued to do this each time i tried to launch the app. then i uninstalled joikuspot, rebooted, and launched ovi maps and it worked just fine. i then tried installing some of my other apps i use like opera mobile, mfe, nimbuzz. all those functioned just fine and ovi maps continued to work. i then reinstalled joikuspot, rebooted, registered, etc.... and ovi maps started crashing again. then again i uninstalled joikuspot, rebooted, and ovi maps started working again.

I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.

Some contributors to a topic some time ago said that the x64 driver for the CS-15 also worked for the CS-10. However I can't see any support drivers on the Nokia site for either of these two units.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy 3 day old Z3 rebooted to factory settings while having it in my pocket. I was out for a five hours walk and have used it serveral times during the walk to take photos. They were stored on the SD card. Battery was on 73%. At the end of my trip I noticed it asked for my pin code to unlock the sim card. I used my newly set pincode for simcard and it worked fine. The telephone was set up with screenlock as well, but that has disapeared together with all my installed programs and my photos and videos on the SD card.

I logged on to my Live account and there is a device back up on there but how do I install it back to the phone. I hope my contacts are stored in there. View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated my phone to CyanogenMod(CM)13.0 which went fine. However when I rebooted the phone a popup came up the entire time telling me that google play services stopped working. In an attempt to fix it, I accidently removed google play services, causing a bunch of trouble at the moment.
I went to the CM Wiki and first I downloaded the "nano" variant of the GAPPS, trying to fix everything in the end. I put the file on my phone and tried to install it via recovery. This message came up however.Insufficnt storage space available in system partition. You may want to use a smaller GAPPS package or consider removing some apps using GAPPS-config ( bla bla) Error code 70. As far as I can see, it is able to mount /system and /data, but the partition does not seem to have enough space left, at least so it says.
After that I tried the same with the "pico" variant, which also gave the same result. Pretty strange for a package that small.So after taking a backup of important files I tried to wipe data/factory reset (was going to reinstall everything), to which I got an error "data wipe failed", which is correct since I can still boot in CM13 after that. So I'm a bit in trouble here. I cannot seem to wipe my phone entirely, nor am I able to reinstall GAPPS due to this error 70. Could this be a permissions problem somehow? Things I have done so far to check what the problem could be:
- I've checked the space left on the /system partition which is 501 MB. Should be enough I guess?
- I've checked the /system partition for errors via adb shell while the phone was in recovery mode, which came out clean.
I rebooted my phone last week through icloud and my contact list is now gone. How do I get it back?

I have one problem I can't connect my phone to Pc suite I do everything what I need and it still says that I have to tun on pc suite mode on my phone even when it's on what could be the problem? View 6 Replies View RelatedAll I've purchased an E72 about 2 weeks ago and am still using it in 'trial' mode using my second line. I have the following problems. Can someone assist please:
1. On the E72 phone one can edit the Contacts field titles (eg change the "Postal/Zip" field to "Postcode", or add fields like "Mobile 2". However using the PC Suite on the PC, none of these changes show up. Eg, I added a "Title" prefix on the phone but it doesn't show upon the PC.
2. The Contacts fileds seem not to be 'smart' enough, ie if one edits/changes the fields on the phone, then on the PC Suite it gets tabulated in the wrong column. So, editing the filed titles is really pointless, infact it is counter productive!
3. To search CONTACTS, only the First Name, Last Name and Company fields are searchable. Other fields like Phone No, City, etc cannot be the basis of a search. True?
4. The long-press "Contacts" key does not go to the "New Contact". It works for other functions, but not New Contact. Anyone know how to resolve this ?
5. For Calendar entries, a few fours AFTER the alarm time set, I get a pop-up message saying something like .... some alarm events were passed due to "time change". What time change is it talking about? Weird thing is I then miss the appointment. so what use is this calendar thing?
6. The application shortcuts on the standby screen (those little icon shortcuts) ... is it possible to have more, say on 2 lines?
7. The E72 seems to be only able to keep call logs for a max of 30 days? Anyway to increase that? similarly, can I keep SMSs for longer periods?
My Palm Treo 600 (used since 2003), was able to do all the above things ... but 6 years later, Nokia's "for the serious business user" phone cannot do most of the simple things a smartphone should be able to do.
I like the phone, especially its slim form factor and all the other bells & whistles (video, movies, music works well) but I DO WANT a phone that can integrate with my PC.There ought to be laws out there on the use of the term 'smartphone'
I have just bought Nokia N86 8MP. I have installed OVI Suit on my laptop. But I amd not able to configure my phone with OVI suite.After connecting my cell with my laptop I select PC Suit USB Mode from my cell phone. On the second step (Connect Device) of OVI Suite configuration the name of my phone is visible but when I select, A popup message is displayed that This device is not in PC Suite USB mode. And the 'Next' button is greyed out.
