Dec 9, 2012I have Lumia 810 from T-Mobile and unlocked it with a code, that was provided to me by T-Mobile/Nokia. Now trying to use this phone with another GSM carrier, makes me wonder, why would T-Mobile/Nokia disable the option to change/add apn settings? So only calls and sms would work on other sim cards! The internet and mms feature is blocked, because T-Mobile settings are hardcoded into the firmware! I have Lumia 710 which is also T-Mobile branded, but there is a button "add apn" under settings>cellular. I don't know t-mobile chose to do it or nokia, but please add the above option via OTA update, it is really needed!

Jul 6, 2010I recently got an E72 instead of an E71. With my E72 I now have problems syncing my contact to the exchange server. Intial sync works fine. Resyncs won't work. I tried to empty my contacts on the exchange server. Do a intial resync. All contacts gone on E72. Create one contact. No sync anymore. In the admin_log I find an error "status from server indicates a server error" and an error code "Mail For Exchange Error -15006".

Aug 2, 2011I have a DroidX version 2.2.1 and I use Corporate email. When I type in a new Calendar event into the phone it sync's to Google fine but it does not sync to my Corp Calendar. The same happens for Contacts. Here's what I've found:
1) Phone to Google works
2) Phone to Corp does not work
3) Corp to Phone works
4) Corp to Google does not work
When I first setup the phone, I setup Corp email and Gmail and the sync worked well. Some time later I removed my Corp email account from the phone only to re-add it a couple weeks later. Since then, the sync does not work the way it once did. I have set the phone so that my Corp account is the default account. I receive email on the phone with no issues. I want my Corp Calendar/Contacts to match my phone no matter whether I enter them from the phone, Google or my Corp Desktop.
Lumia 1320 :: Fully Charged When Unplugged - Screen Goes Black?
Jun 27, 2014Had a 1320 sat on my desk, charging it for the first time. Battery is eventually full so I unplug the cord and the phone just dies, screen goes black.Try to power it back on and im greeted by the low battery icon. Have had it back on the charger for 3-4 hours but still gets the same message. I was able to set it up and it seemed fine until unplugging the cord and now it doesnt want to charge, did I get a lemon or what?

My phone still has close to full battery though, so I'm waiting for it to drain off slowly... My question is, will the phone turn on automatically when I eventually charge it with a dead battery.

Dec 6, 2012My wife just bought the new 920 (going from N8) ... and so far she is really frustrated!
We have set up her phone with both her Hotmail and Facebook, but that means that when she goes to "persons" she gets a couple of hundred contacts, And she does NOT want that.
She has a list (on her OLD phone) of about 50 contacts she wants, no more no less.
So we went into the settings, and asked it to filter off all contacts from Hotmail and Facebook, which is fine.
BUT, now she can't add new contacts (like in the old days) ... well she can, but they are automatically new Hotmail-contacts, and they get filtered away...
QUESTION: Is there no way to add a contact manually (like in the old days), and it gets saved to "the phone"?
We did manage to move all the old contacts from her old phone, to the new one - but they automatically becomes Hotmail-contacts... (and are filtered off!)

Dec 1, 2012Does the 920 support contact photos? When I transfer my contacts from the N9 to the 920 will the 920 also import the contact photos? If I sign in to my Microsoft Account will it automatically sync my contacts to the Cloud (Outlook.com) Or is this user defined? If it does sync will I lose all of my contact photos because Outlook.com doesn't support photos (other than those it 'imports' from Hotmail or Outlook profiles).

Jul 10, 2012Anyway to surpass the 20 members per group limitation...I have to say this is really annoying why is it old androids phone let you have close to unlimited members per group according to your SD card storage, but not for Lumia 900
so I am thinking Nokia should mark this as a play phone not for business usage? Other information such as name and numbers etc are present.With the (primary) Microsoft Account i've used when setting up the phone, those very same contacts are displayed as they should be.

So if my country code is for example +961 and X number is saved as +961-x-xxxyyy, when X calls me from x-xxx-yyy, his name is not shown !!

Sep 24, 2012Our office recently bought a handful of the Nokia Lumia 880 phones for our "out of office" staff. These phones have all been updated to the latest versions of the software/firmware using Zune on a desktop.
There still appears to be a problem with incoming calls showing the incorrect contact. It appears to be ignoring the first 4 digits of the phone number and only matches the last part. We live in Australia and have to mobile syntax of 04 XXXX XXXX. Numbers saved in the phone are saved without spaces like: 0401234567
Here's an example of how to repeat the bug.
Say this is a friends number: 0450100200 and you have that saved in your phone as Friend 1
If you have a second friend with a similar number on a different network like: 0417100200 and Friend 2 calls you, the contact name for Friend 1 will appear on the call screen.
We tested this theory by adding my number into the phone as a brand new contact, but we changed the first few digits of the number. My phone number was not originally in the phone, but when I called, my name appeared on the screen, even though the number saved was different to my actual number.
I don't know whether anyone else has this issue, but I would like to get it resolved. It seems sloppy design for the numbers to be loosly matched like this.
