I used the RESTORE option from my back up, the software restored everything except my Contact list. I also tried to restore specific items.... the option to restore contacts does not allow me to tick it for restoration. I have a Bold 9700, abt 2.5 yrs old. Due to some glitch the complete contacts list is in the back-up, my google sync has only half !!

I've left it for over a hour and even plugged it into my pc and the blackberry manager doesn't make any diff I think it doesn't even pick it up as it says device is rebooting/ needs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Blackberry curve 8520 about 6 wks ago. It stopped working about 3 weeks after purchasing it.I sent it away to be fixed (purchased from Vodafone). They sent it back and said there was nothing they could find wrong with it. The same has just happened again. The screen remains blank & it is fully charged. I have tried taking out & putting the battery back in. Sometimes it just blinks an orange light a couple of times but screen remains blank. I don't want to send it away again to be fixed as all my details/downloads will be once again be wiped off while it is being fixed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIve tried to restart my phone by taking the battery out, multiple times for the past few hours, my phone begins to load but it only loads up to three quarters of the way up the bar and freezes every time I have waited for 3 hours for it to turn on properly and it still hasnt?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently got a Blackberry Curve 9360 running on O2 UK and the latest update of OS 7 and love it, but want to turn it off over night without setting times for it to turn off and on. I have looked at many posts on forums and want to fully turn it off, as when i click the 'power off' icon or hold down the end key, it just goes into standby. when i set an alarm, it gives me the option to 'turn off' or 'full power off' but they both do the same thing. a battery pull does NOT work as it just turns on again straight away.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis week I restored my iPhone since it's now offically been unlocked by AT&T. I'm now on a new carrier with a sim card overseas so I imported my SIM Contacts unto my iPhone, no problem and they are on iCloud also. Mind you I have the same iCloud as I did before. I have added people since then but now within my Contacts list theres two lists within the iCloud list... So I added a person with A and Y names, so they are at the very top of the list and then after the "new list" those are all my old contacts....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 8900 curve which has not been used before. The carrier Vodafone has enabled my BB service and I should have full data. However, the device is showing gprs and not GPRS and the service books are not downloading as a result.
When I put my SIm in a mates BB 8900 it does show as full GPRS.is there a setting in the device that allows partial data service that I need to change to give me full data, or do I just have another faulty 8900 device?
I charged up my phone fully yesterday and it was all ok. I turned it off last night and when i tried to turn it on this morning there was no life. I have removed the battery and put it back in but this has done nothing. I have also removed the battery and SIM card and put them back in again but this hasn't helped either. We have checked the battery on a multi-meter and there is definitely charge in in so it's not that the battery has died.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8302. Yesterday the battery depleted unusually fast (with in about 2-3 hrs with hardly any use). I put it on the charger for about 3hrs. Still showed the battery symbol (top left) as dead. And the words low battery below the clock. I left it charge over night. Still same thing. I put the battery into a friends 8320 & it showed fully charged no problem at all. I can access the phone if I have it plugged into the computer or charger. But the moment I disconnect it says something along the lines of "battery drained powering down". And it turns off my phone. So I have discovered there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. So is there something wrong with the phone? Or is there something wrong with the firmware? Even when I go to the wrench Icon & check battery level from there, it say 0% for charged. What can I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my first time using the blackberry forums I have hope you can help me find a resolution to this problem. I have a blackberry 8520 I have an old backup file from June 2012 which I restored because it should have the old text messages I want back on my phone the problem is that trying to restore this gave an error message half way through the restore "unable to restore database" after trying this a few times I then updated the Blackberry Desktop Manager to latest version and it now lets me restore the backup file. The problem now is that it does not have the messages that should be there, and also the messages that are in my inbox have an overview as normal but selecting it displays a blank screen with no message history also another issue is that I have the icons on my home screen showing I have a unread sms messages but I am unable to view these in my inbox they are not there. I do not understand what is happening here this should be a simple restore but there is a number of issues here can anyone advise me how to go about fixing this Eagerly waiting for a response Kind Regards
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had 2 8520's stolen this year. The first time as I put my new Sim card in the phone it asked me if I wanted to verify my device. I said yes, and immediately ALLl my contacts (not BBM contacts - normal contacts) were restored to my device. I inserted my Sim in the new phone today and it did not ask me this question. Is there anyway I can get my contact list from Blackberry for my 8520?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 9300 which I back up completely (i.e.. all data) on a regular basis using the BB Desktop Software for my Mac.
Today (11 Jan 2012) I went to restore only 'Text Message' data from a back up I did on 9th Nov 2011.
On completion of the restore, 12 Text Messages we're restored to my device, but the actual message content is blank. I.e.. the messages appear showing the 'Sender' and the 'Date', but the actual message content is missing. The icon for the messages is the same 'green bubble with a pen' that appears with draft messages.
