my battery fully drained and I plugged it in it started to reboot but then at about 70% it froze and won't go passed this. I've left it for over a hour and even plugged it into my pc and the blackberry manager doesn't make any diff I think it doesn't even pick it up as it says device is rebooting/ needs.
So my bold 9700 began to re-boot itself and the bar started to load, reached about three quarters and wont go any further. I tried everything from charging the phone, removing the battery for hours, removing the micro sd card, but it still continues to load to a certain point and sticks. I've tried everything over and over but nothing different happens.
I wasnt having any trouble with my blackberry and then i accidentally dropepd it and the batter fell out .I put it back in and as usual the blackberry logo came up and it began to reboot. Though it only rebooted around 75% of the way, i have tried taking the battery out and trying again but it doesnt seem to be working . I have tried everything i can possibly think of but nothing is working .
I purchased a Blackberry curve 8520 about 6 wks ago. It stopped working about 3 weeks after purchasing it.I sent it away to be fixed (purchased from Vodafone). They sent it back and said there was nothing they could find wrong with it. The same has just happened again. The screen remains blank & it is fully charged. I have tried taking out & putting the battery back in. Sometimes it just blinks an orange light a couple of times but screen remains blank. I don't want to send it away again to be fixed as all my details/downloads will be once again be wiped off while it is being fixed.
Ive tried to restart my phone by taking the battery out, multiple times for the past few hours, my phone begins to load but it only loads up to three quarters of the way up the bar and freezes every time I have waited for 3 hours for it to turn on properly and it still hasnt?
I have recently got a Blackberry Curve 9360 running on O2 UK and the latest update of OS 7 and love it, but want to turn it off over night without setting times for it to turn off and on. I have looked at many posts on forums and want to fully turn it off, as when i click the 'power off' icon or hold down the end key, it just goes into standby. when i set an alarm, it gives me the option to 'turn off' or 'full power off' but they both do the same thing. a battery pull does NOT work as it just turns on again straight away.
My gf now owns my Curve and it vibrates and gives a notification every night when it finishes charging. It never did this when I had it. She has an otterbox cover on it. I can't find an option anywhere to stop this. Help! We don't want to completely silence the phone at night in case of emergencies.
I have a BB 8900 curve which has not been used before. The carrier Vodafone has enabled my BB service and I should have full data. However, the device is showing gprs and not GPRS and the service books are not downloading as a result.
When I put my SIm in a mates BB 8900 it does show as full GPRS.is there a setting in the device that allows partial data service that I need to change to give me full data, or do I just have another faulty 8900 device?
I charged up my phone fully yesterday and it was all ok. I turned it off last night and when i tried to turn it on this morning there was no life. I have removed the battery and put it back in but this has done nothing. I have also removed the battery and SIM card and put them back in again but this hasn't helped either. We have checked the battery on a multi-meter and there is definitely charge in in so it's not that the battery has died.
I have a BB Curve 8302. Yesterday the battery depleted unusually fast (with in about 2-3 hrs with hardly any use). I put it on the charger for about 3hrs. Still showed the battery symbol (top left) as dead. And the words low battery below the clock. I left it charge over night. Still same thing. I put the battery into a friends 8320 & it showed fully charged no problem at all. I can access the phone if I have it plugged into the computer or charger. But the moment I disconnect it says something along the lines of "battery drained powering down". And it turns off my phone. So I have discovered there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. So is there something wrong with the phone? Or is there something wrong with the firmware? Even when I go to the wrench Icon & check battery level from there, it say 0% for charged. What can I do?
After updating a few IM applications and doing a battery pull on my Curve 8250 I've been having problems with my address book.I backed up my phone, updated some IM apps did a battery pull then realized my address book contacts were missing. tried to restore, but I only got one name entered multiple times. I re-entered all of my contacts backed that up, re-booted just to see if they would go missing again and they did. I then tried to restore contacts only. But the only option I got was Address book - Last Hint Used. I did not see Address Book
i just got my phone and carged the battery but it will not turn on. Sometimes it will give me a red light saying it needs to be charged then it will give me a green light saying it is fully charged but it will not turn on...
My wifi was working fine at caribou a few weeks ago, but all of a sudden it doesn't load web pages. I am connected to the wifi, and at the bottom is loads the bar all the way but doesn't show the website I'm trying to get on. I've tried everything. Don't know what to do. I have a blackberry curve 8520.
Reboot complete (main screen/carrier logo) First Time and Device Usable Second Time Minutes:Seconds 3:13 - 3:37 Custom Theme 3:11 - 3:25 Default Carrier Theme Theme's have no real effect from what I've noticed. Unless you have a really big gfx intense theme. 3:13 - 3:23 Password 3:13 - 3:25 Password + wallpaper on mem card 7:09 - 7:21 "Memory Clean Turned on" + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card Re-test (that was way too long) 6:36 - 6:45 "Memory Clean Already On" + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card. 3:23 - 3:45 "Encrytion Media Card Only" + BerryWeather + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card + Mem Compression Memory Clean and Encrytion (Device Memory Enabled) either one of those on will increase reboot time by atleast 2-3mins. When enabling Device Memory encryption Memory Clean is automatically turned on and can't be disabled. So in my testing reboot time was between 6-7mins. My current config setup is that last test. Since Password is on, I see no need for Device Memory encryption to be on. Without the password you can't gain access to device files. ZonaSnap , QuickLaunch, Blink all preloaded during each test. 8 Email Accounts, about 80 read emails, and 100+ sms, 41 apps anyone that is getting 1-2min reboot please post your settings.
How much are the fast reboot or reboot/kill software really needed on ICS?im finding that even on a large exclude list there are still apps that run, that i dont really need and eat up some of the interal memory.is there any other way other than rebooting all the time to get rid of them? Will rebooting drain more battery energy?
I have 8530 and OS 5, last night i just downloaded some software, acurate weather and 1 theme and true caller from application world, system asked for restart and after that i restarted and it moves upto the window when my carrier logo appears and stuck there only, i removed battery many times and tried but same situation its not getting started, tried to connect with desktop software but show disconnected as its not completely starting.i removed battery and hold on charging and then inserted battery and restarted but same situation.
Basically, the phone went completely dead, despite being fully charged. At first there was no response from the phone whatsoever and this went on for about 4 hours. I was out of the house and had no charger so assumed that maybe the battery had run out. However, after about 4 hours the Blackberry began behaving very weirdly. Every so often, the red LED light comes on for about 10 seconds and then it tries to switch on (without me pressing a button). The reboot bar comes up, but when this is only about 5-10% full the Blackberry crashes and does exactly the same thing again, crashing at the same point. Sometimes it can do this continuously and sometimes it will go completely unresponsive again.
Removing the battery makes no difference, because when I put it back in it simply behaves in the same way.I tried launching a software update through BB Desktop to remedy this, but half-way through the programme said that it could not connect to the Blackberry, even though it had previously been connected.
Last night, my blackberry was freezing up, so I took the battery out to reboot it. I fell asleep with it rebooting on the charger, but when I woke up around eight hours later it still wasn't finished rebooting. The white line was only about 3/4 of the way full and it wasn't moving, so I took the battery out to reboot it again. It was going fine until it reached that spot again, and stopped about 3/4 of the way full. I took the battery out for an extended period of time and tried again, but the same thing happened
my battery fully drained and I plugged it in it started to reboot but then at about 70% it froze and won't go passed this. I've left it for over a hour and even plugged it into my pc and the blackberry manager doesn't make any diff I think it doesn't even pick it up as it says device is rebooting/ needs charging.
how to reboot my curve 8520?i have app updates but cannot get into my app world until i reboot the device.it told me to hold down the power key but all that does is turn the fone off. the icon on my screen saying i have updates knowing i cant update them makes me want to throw the phone at the wall?
lately my bb will just restart itself in the middle of a function - my online banking, sending a text, etc., and then when it comes back on, it has zero battery - like where i get the message that the battery is too low for radio use. how can i stop this? or does this mean i need a new battery?its happened about 4 of the last 14 days. i checked to make sure my software was current, and made sure i wasnt overloaded with too many things saved on my bb.
