Dec 20, 2012When I try to change my ringtone nothing changes, I go to settings, select ringtone + sounds, press the ringtone box, select nostalgia it turns blue, check the ringtone box it says nostalgia, ringer on vibrate on, but when I ring my phone the ringtone that plays is the one that came with the phone, it does not change.

Apr 30, 2011I have noticed that my e72 keep producing short (<1s) quiet "beep-like" sounds.Have not been able to figure out the pattern when does it occur - but it beeps at least once an hour or so.The sound is similar to the "auto-confirmation that a text message was sent" sound (which usually happen a few seconds to minute after the text message is sent).how to disable it.

Mar 22, 2010I have a Nokia 3110c, excellent phone still working perfectly after 2 years.Recently, I switched from SFR operator to Orange operator. SFR uses 123 to access the voice message recorder, currently accessible through a long push on key 1. Orange uses 888, so I would like a long push on key 1 to trigger 888 instead of 123. Unfortunately, how to is not explained in the manual which deals only of keys 2 to 9. I also resetted the phone to Factory Settings, and even loaded "Default Operator Settings", hoping that that would include reprogramming of key 1 to 888. No way..

Aug 3, 2010I got this Nokia 500XM phone and when I want to change the ringtone in the profiles it takes ages and just has the scroling bar with opening at the top. I have found a cumbersome work around and that is to take out the memory card but then that just mean I have to stick with the pre-installed ones or copy the selected mp3 file to the phone memory. Is there any way to cut down this wait when I have the memory card inserted? - I wonder if I have added all my mp3 songs to the right folder on the memory card I think I put them in the Music (E: 8gb memory) folder on the memory card I wonder if this is whats causing the problem should they be in another folder? its an 8gb card with 3404mb (3.4gb) and 325 songs or more.

Nov 19, 2012I have a US ATT White Lumia 920. Here are the steps to replicate the problem:
1. Switch phone to vibrate only: Press the volume rocker and hit the bell on top right to switch the phone in to vibrate only mode. 2. Play music on phone: Plugin headphones or play music on the phone speaker through any music app. 3. Call your phone from another phone.
Expected Behavior: As with any phone when you play music on the phone and get a call, the phone should pause/stop the music and play your ringtone/ caller tone. After the call has ended the music should continue.
Issue/Bug: The phone does not pause/stop the playing music when a call comes. However the phone does vibrate. This is a problem and has lead to missed calls when the phone is in my jacket pocket or bag where the vibration cannot be felt.

Oct 4, 2012I cannot understand why a phones camera software does not allow the user to lower the resolution below the max resolution.The Lumia 710 only allows 5MP res. in 4:3 format. WHY?? And I cannot find an app that easily allows the res. to be lower than 5MP.Is there anything in the works, ie. camera software update that will allow for lower resolution pics? I think they are a horrible waste of screen space but I can't find any menu where to actually change anything.The dividers are similar as in the phonebook but they are actually useful there since I have about 300 contacts there and only a few apps.

Dec 18, 2015Just jumped back to Android after a decade of Windows phone (be patient) and I'm trying to change the ringtone for one of my contacts but when I find and edit their contact information the Ringtone ID is grey'd out and I can't edit it. What am I missing?
So I dug all through the settings and found Sound & Notification. When it went in there I found an option for Ringtone ID. What it does other than allows me to set ringtones for Contacts, Favorites or Everyone. When I disabled it I was then able to provide custom ringtones for my contacts.
