Sometimes its after no rings, sometimes after 4+ rings and even sometimes after the call has connected. Each time, after I call the person back, it connects without a problem. I've taken the phone back to the shop where purchased for a repair and tried factory resets and software updates but with no success.

I like having my e-mail beep while I'm awake, but I get a lot of mail throughout the night and I hate hearing the e-mail beep (especially when it wakes me up). I also don't want to have to set the phone to silent or drill down into the settings.It seems like it shouldn't be hard to have e-mail beep only during a specified time range.

Apr 22, 2010I am sure that this issue has been raised before but it is the one aspect of the BB9700 that is driving me to distraction. What profile settings should i use just to get the darn thing to ring for 20 secs - both in and out of its holster? (I have tried the code to extend the time to 30 secs but it does not seem to work with Orange UK).
I just want the phone to ring like a phone without LEDS, vibration etc. At the moment, I need the hearing of a 5 year old and the strength of a 20 year old to get to my phone before it trips over to answerphone.I am on OS593 and I have tried battery pulls etc. I am also using a ringtune rather than Classic Ring.

Apr 15, 2010This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

Dec 7, 2015how to stop the awful beep sound during calls for the Galaxy S5? I know there is a thread on this for the Note S4 but the way to turn it off on that device (the enhanced lte trick) is not available/ a feature on the Galaxy S5. The tone is so horrible sounding and hurts my ears.
-Yes have check minute minder- it is off
-The sound occurs on speaker, while using headphones, or just holding the phone to my ear.
-There does not seem to be a pattern for time or frequency of the tone.
-The one thing i have noticed is that it always occurs when I talk to people who have iPhones, but there does not seem to be a consistency with droids.

There is no verbal talk back when I need to enter a pin like it use to on my 2013 edition(android 4.4) either. In addition, I notice that while im in vibrate, it will change my sound settings out of vibrate and basically increase the volume for media so when I click around, i hear the audible "click" too. WTF?
THe google now talk back search responses seem to work fine but the volume sort of fades in and higher as it starts to talk back. Basically, the initial beep and voice upon activating google now doesn't work but responses with search or weather, etc. work ok. I made sure my media volume was up and that didn't work....
